Since purchasing the PLD Anser 2 blade putter I have been extremely impressed with my putting improvements. This is the first blade putter I ’ ve ever had in my bag. Over the last decade I ’ ve gained a handful of mallet putter ‘s and never really felt confident with the flat stick. What I like most about this club is how easy it is to line up my putt and consistently keep it on line. It ’s taken me a little time to figure out distance control for leg parts, but since the day I put it in the bag I have been making considerably more of the 6 to 10 foot variety than I did before. This putter is basically automatic. I also own a Spider Tour X that cost me an arm and a leg more than this Ping Scottsdale Anser 2D and I have to say it is a dead heat as to which one I like better. In hindsight, I would have saved the money for something else and just gone with the Ping. The insert on this is magical, and feel is off the charts. Basically, feels like a softer milled face putter, and the balance and weight is superior to the many other putters I have tried. As always, the design and materlals used by Ping are top notch-- shaft made in Japan( likely by Nippon or Fujikura), head is made in Vietnam, and it's all assembled in the good ole US of A. Ping designs and materials are unmatched. You get more than what you pay for! Who needs a$ 400+ putter when you can snag this at under$ 250?!

This is going to be a bit of a roller- coaster but that's what we get when buying$ 450 putters to fix our game. First off, I have bought and returned this putter 3 times. I have really loved it and then naturally blamed it for putting 38 times in a round and promptly returning it to the store. My Arccos will tell you that the 2 rounds I have used it were actually better than my avg strokes gained. We are talking 8. 7 and 4. 2 strokes gained. The SB2 has a better feel than my Phantom and Link1. I am more confident with it and as I actually practice with it I feel like it lines up very well. Green reading is a natural issue and unfortunately this putter doesnt have eye balls or the ability to tell me to not do the opposite of what I just said I was going to do. It does get that ball rolling on that line and if its off center a bit its gon na still go where you wanted it. Most importantly here. My wife said that she liked this putter the most. Imagine buying this putter knowing you will like it and that your wife will just love it. Talk about being thoughtful and putting her first in your purchases.

The newly restored version of the great Wilson 8802 is just as outstanding and even better than its namesake original. It is perfectly balanced, has just the right amount of loft, has a milled face for a more precision roll, has outstanding feel and most importantly is designed for releasing the club head, allowing for a true topspin roll that starts on line and stays online all the way to the hole. The stock narrow grip also promotes the low hand release, that combined with the narrow mass on the putter head promotes putts to come at the hole on the high side, and not the dreaded low side. So many of the big grip, big head putters promote a pop stroke that can lead to cutting the ball with a less than true roll, especially on short and left to right putts, but the 8802 brings back images of Crenshaw and Faxon really letting the putter head release, and clearly so much of that had to do with the design concepts of the putter that these great players understood, and helped make them great Champions too.

I have used this putter for 2 golf rounds. I like the balance of the club head with the larger grip. Ball comes off club very quick, much faster than my old blade putter, which took several holes to adjust how to strike the ball. Like any club changes it takes time to adjust. Once you get the feel of the club I really like using it as the ball goes straight no matter where you hit the ball on the face of the club. It does have a “ ping ” sound when it strikes the ball, and some may not like that however after using it after several holes you get used to it and can use the sound along with the feel on how hard or soft you are striking the ball.

Went looking at different putters. Honestly, used this as a break from other putter forms. It grew on me very quickly. I found it easy to line up, and for a non insert milled face putter it is almost perfect. Firm yet soft. Distance is very easy to judge. I assumed the `` pick your golf ball up '' was a marketing ploy. I roll this putter so well I now know why they made it. Came with a larger than normal grip, but I like it. I know it is n't the new 0- tork, but I could never use the older center shafted putters. Are they not the same thing?? Putting a golf ball is a personal experience. I played one round with it so far and made some very nice putts but as another posted I did come up short on a couple also. Love how the weight of this putter minimizes my tendency to over hit the ball. I ’ m 15 rounds into using it and I can tell the heft chills me out and I ’ m coming up just short or sinking it vs over shooting the hole. Only thing I don ’ t like is the putter cover is hard to replace one handed and any bump in the cart knocks it off without me knowing.

I just received my MT22 putter and am already impressed with it. This putter compares well to all the other milled putters available today. The craftsmanship is outstanding. You know immediately when you have something in your hands that is expertly made and of the highest quality. At address the putter gives me a sense of confidence. When I take a stroke I notice that the shape of the head and it's weight make keeping it in line easy. Then when you strike the ball there is a solid thump and that sensation carries up into the hand giving you the feedback that it was solidly hit. The weight of the putter also helps better judge the amount of force needed to stroke the ball all the way to the cup without putting too much force on the putt. There is just enough toe hang to keep the putter head square through the stroke. If there is one drawback is the lack of options when it comes to the grip. It would be great if this came with the option for an oversize grip. I would not hesitate changing the grip but it is my understanding that Wilson counter balances their putters and I am afraid that changing the grip would alter the great balance this putter has.

I recently did a fitting and got matched up with a bettinardi bb48. No one in my city sells Wilson off the rack so I bit the bullet and bought this one. I definitely don ’ t regret it at all. It really has nearly identical feel and performance as the bb48. This putter is over all really well balanced and has a premium look and feel. The feel is definitely softer but not so soft that you lose feedback. The top line is clean and back really flows nicely drawing your eye to the sight line and it reallg squares nicely behind the ball. The weight is also really well balanced. It doesn ’ t feel too clunky and heavy. Being that I recently changed from an older 330g blade putter I was worried it would be too heavy but this is not the case at all. It has almost a blade feel with the added control of a mallet. My only complaint is that Wilson doesn ’ t have a lot of finish options. I do prefer a black putter but luckily I am able to refinish it at home.

I bought this putter after testing about 20 putters at Golf Galaxy and this one was the clear winner. I was always a good putter but now I 've gotten better. My distance control improved immensely and more of those 8- 10 footers are finding the cup. By far the best putter I 've ever used.

Solid, balanced, straight shooter. I wanted a blade to add to my mallet( 2015 Fusion RX Big T Odyssey). Was looking for a White Hot insert, then saw the Microhinge returned. Different than the Fusion RX( metal mesh over White Hot). First day I was impressed how better balanced and straight shooting it was. Got the DB because I have little curve to my stroke. Well made. Highly recommend.
