Took these to the rink and love them. I hate to ruin them outside but that ’s what I bought them for.

The size chart was not helpful. According to their chart I should 've been a 7 but they were took small. It would be great if they had these in store so I could try them on... I love the rainbow style but the laces are too short. I do think they are good basic skates. Especially for those who want more ankle mobility. Loosen the wheels and they ride smooth indoor or outdoors
When selecting speed skating wheels, consider the wheel diameter, hardness, and material. Larger wheels typically provide better speed and smoother rides on flat surfaces, while harder wheels are ideal for outdoor use on rough terrain. Additionally, the material can affect grip and durability, so it's essential to match the wheels to your skating style and the surfaces you'll be skating on.
Wheel hardness is measured on a durometer scale, with higher numbers indicating harder wheels. Harder wheels generally offer less grip but allow for greater speed on smooth surfaces, while softer wheels provide better traction and shock absorption on rougher terrain. Choosing the right hardness depends on your skating environment and personal preference.
Wheel size significantly influences speed and maneuverability in speed skating. Larger wheels can roll over obstacles more easily and maintain higher speeds, making them suitable for long-distance skating. Conversely, smaller wheels offer better control and agility, which can be beneficial for technical maneuvers and tighter turns.
Wheels designed for outdoor use are typically softer and wider to provide better grip and shock absorption on uneven surfaces. In contrast, indoor wheels are harder and narrower, allowing for faster speeds on smooth surfaces like rinks. Check the wheel specifications and intended use to ensure they match your skating environment.
The durability of speed skating wheels is influenced by the material used, the hardness rating, and the type of surface they are used on. High-quality urethane wheels tend to be more durable and resistant to wear, while harder wheels may wear down faster on rough surfaces. Regularly inspecting your wheels for signs of damage can help maintain their performance.
Mixing different sizes or hardness of wheels on speed skates is generally not recommended, as it can affect balance and performance. Consistency in wheel size and hardness helps maintain stability and control while skating. If you're considering experimenting with different wheels, it's best to consult with a knowledgeable expert or follow manufacturer guidelines.
