I 've been using Zoom products for several years now and use the swimmin chunk as a trailer on a 1/4 ounce jig and also a 3/8 ounce jig. i usually dip the legs in a chartreuse garlic dye, and most of my jigs are a shade of green( usually a green crawfish) not sure if the bass see this as a bluegill or crawfish; only that it catches fish!! i fish an extremely clear, fairly deep lake so detail is very important.

After that, all I used were these lures and caught all day long! I used a slow to medium retrieve method with nothing fancy and the result was amazing! There were several times in a row that I did n't reel in without a fish at the end of my line! I used to use strike king rage swimmers and they were decent, but if I can catch on 6- 7 fish per bait on average with the googan baits, versus 2- 3 with strike king its a no brainer. If you dont catch fish on Joe's, theyre not biting!!! I took a 21 inch large mouth on a Joe's first cast after hitting the waters with the standard bass lures... In fact wife and I both started using them with great results.... These are our goto lures on new water bodies with unknown specimens. Nailed a 14. 5 inch black crappie on them the following week... Be warned, withthe two hook combo you might want to use some tools to retrieve your fly cause theyre sharp and wont let go!!

I 've used different colors but yellow body with a silver blade and black with a gold blade( 1/8 th oz) seem to work the best for me in creeks and ponds. I tie a tiny barrel swivel with a clip directly on to my line( 10 lbs. braid) and attach the lure to the clip. Simple lure, casts and retrieves well, good construction. Explosive hits. Fun to use.
