One of the top lures of all time, been fishing with them since 1975. One of my all time favorites and go to lures as well as start with lures. Prefer the hammered chrome in 5/8, 3/4, 1oz. The hammered chrome seems to have a slight edge over the plain chrome in my estimation. You may have to get the 1 oz on Ebay vintage listing as I do n't think you will fine it listed. Great cast, trolled or deep water jigged. Will take most fish but I use for lake trout, walleye, N. Pike.

The next trip out after purchasing this one it took 3 mature kings. Doesn ’ t matter the color or style the fish love them!!!! I run them with a vegan rig or a pickled sunshine fly.
When selecting a spoon lure for bass fishing, consider the weight, size, and shape, as these factors can influence how the lure moves in the water. A well-designed spoon will create a wobbling action that mimics injured baitfish, attracting bass. Additionally, look for lures with reflective finishes or bright colors that can catch the attention of bass in various water conditions.
Spoon lures for bass are typically made from metal, which provides durability and allows for effective casting. The metal construction also helps the lure sink quickly, making it easier to reach deeper waters where bass may be hiding. Some lures may feature additional coatings or finishes to enhance their visual appeal and effectiveness.
To effectively use spoon lures for bass fishing, try a variety of retrieval techniques, such as steady reeling, jerking, or pausing to create a more erratic movement. Varying your speed and depth can also help determine what works best for the conditions and the fish's behavior. Experimenting with different techniques can lead to increased success on the water.
Yes, spoon lures can be effective for bass fishing year-round, but their effectiveness may vary by season. In warmer months, bass may be more active and aggressive, making them more likely to strike at a moving spoon. During colder months, slower presentations may be more effective, as bass tend to be less active and prefer a more subtle approach.
Choosing the right size spoon lure for bass fishing depends on several factors, including the size of the bass in your fishing area and the type of baitfish they are feeding on. Generally, smaller lures may be more effective in clear water or when bass are feeding on smaller prey, while larger lures can be used to target bigger bass or in murky water.
The effectiveness of colors in spoon lures can vary based on water clarity and lighting conditions. Bright colors like chartreuse or orange can be effective in murky water, while natural colors such as silver or gold may work better in clear conditions. It's often beneficial to have a variety of colors on hand to adapt to changing conditions and bass preferences.
