This is another one of my go- to lures. I find it to be very versatile, I use it as a wake bait or twitch and rise presentation; or just straight crank in. Either way this bait works for me for Slime Gators or Bass. the colors i found best are gold prism black bars orange belly, on my lake back home brook trout funnel into the lake where the Slime Gators wait for them i find that color match's the food source best.& when I 'm fishing Lake Erie or Ontario blue back either silver flash or prism works for me thanks for another great lure!!

I have been using these lures for over 5yrs now and I have caught just about every species of fish that's in Lake Erie on these lures. I would highly recommend these lures to anyone that's serious about walleye fishing. I saw that someone had mentioned the back hooks pulling out of the lures. I have never experienced this and I have caught walleyes in the 12lb. Range and also lakers that have been 20+ lbs and never had a fish pull the hooks out of the lure.

Been using these for seems like ever. From 6 lb small mouth in Lake Erie to trout and walleye in Colorado its pretty much what I only fish with if not fly fishing. Bought the lure to augment an offshore trolling spread consisting of surface and near- surface lines. Fished the plug on 20- pound trolling outfit, with 12- foot 150- pound mono leader, run about 100 feet down the middle. The plug pulls hard when trolled at 7 to 8 knots, but digs down and swims well, even at that speed-- although anglers should be warned that at that speed, a 20 is about as light as you can go, as the lure will take line off the reel if anything less than 7 pounds of drag is used. Primary target for the lure was dolphin( mahi- mahi), which hit it well when not showing on the surface; the plug drew a strike from my largest mahi of the 2018 season.

I regularly fish open water and smaller creeks. The Rebel Crickhopper Lure is my legendary favorite. I primarily fish for Bluegill and other panfish. Whenever the time of day is right and the fish are around, the hits are almost 100%. I use the crickhopper with 6# fluorocarbon line and a small Zebco( 33, 22, etc.). No need on spending more with this lure.

I bought two Crickhoppers to try out with my ultralight tackle and was surprised at how many panfish I caught. Just about anything will go after them too. I 've caught plenty of largemouth on them. The natural colors work best for me on sunny days, pick one up and you wo n't regret it!

I 've caught muskie, pike, walleye, smallmouth and largemouth bass on it. The walleye and smallmouth seem to like it the best. I have n't narrowed it down to one color either, mostly just the retrieve method. They are worth trying.

At first when i got this it was just a tackle filler but then one day the bass and other predetorial fish were just smashing bait fish in the weeds off a drop off so i decided to swim it slow off the shallow and then heavilly crank it off tye drop off and then boom a three pound small mouth just smashes the lure.

I have doing well on rainbow trout with the CD- 1& CD- 5 silver( Cant seem to find the CD- 3 ever). I prefer the CountDown( sinking) over the original( floating) models. Floating models are too light to cast well. The CD- 1 really seem to work well for trout, simulate minnows the trout feed on. Nice slow retrieve. They will ignore one size totally and then hit on a different size lure minutes apart so keep a couple different sizes and try until you find the one they want. Work for Bass as well.

I 've been catching large mouth and spotted bass with this lure all winter. The gizzard shad and the sexy shad are my go to colors. Throw it across a rocky point in about 10- 15' of water and slowly crank it across the bottom. Make sure you bounce it off the rocks and hold on. The bass crush it. I will always use the 6XD or the 5XD. Strike King makes the best crank baits i 've ever used.

I have had great luck with this lure. Switched from my old faithful and on the 2nd cast the fish started hitting. In about 45 mins I had landed 9 fish until we ran out of daylight. Last night my wife and I took our 11yr old son fishing... again I set him up with my old faithful... no action. Switched him to the rebel teeny and first cast he landed a Guadalupe Bass. The lure speaks for itself!

I got one of these in brown crawdad as part of the Little Critters 4pack and was amazed at how many bass it caught. Anytime they are feeding on crayfish in shallow water( muddy or rocky bottoms) this is a good choice. It catches lots of bluegill too.
