I purchased with the intention of wearing them in the weight room- no desire to run and/or jump in them. They provide excellent ankle support and a wide toe base so that you 're able to get your feet set before every lift. The firm sole provides little toe bend, which I appreciate. I would n't recommend them if you 're wanting to run, they 're heavier and on the clunky side, but think they 're well suited for a lifting or HIIT type shoe.

These shoes are designed well and are definitely well made. They fit true to size( I 'm a size 13 in the other big name brands and was a size 13 here too). Unfortunately, I had to return them because they did n't fit me properly. I have quite straight feet, and these shoes have too much of a curve inwards for my feet. So my big toe was in the middle of the toe box and my outside two toes were mushed up against the side of the shoe. Just keep this in mind if you have straight feet. I really wish I could have kept these shoes though because they 're really nice.

As a long distance runner I was looking for a resistance trainer I could use while on the road. Unboxing was pretty easy with three resistance bands and two ankle bands. The ankle bands when properly attached have little to no give so all of the energy is transferred to the resistance bands. I am impressed with how sturdy and comfortable the trainer is while in use. Great lifting/training shoe. I wasn ’ t initially sold on the design coming from the 8, but once I got them in hand it grew on me immediately. They look great, feel more stable than the 8 ’s, and have a little more toe room. One additional thing to note is that the traction pattern is way better on the 9, as my 8 ’s toe traction ripped after repeatedly doing planks. It seems like that will not happen with the 9.
