It's nice on days when I want some added warmth, but do n't want to wear a jacket or coat. A great transitional piece. So far, I have worn it a couple of ways- with a fitted long sleeve t- shirt( pictured) and with a thick hoodie. It worked very well both ways! It does fit on the looser side. For size reference, I 'm petite 5' x 1 '' and have this in size XS. For a more fitted look, I probably could have sized down. One feature I like about the vest is the bottom drawstring as I am able to cinch it for a more fitted look. The side zippered pockets allow me to secure my items without needing to worry about them slipping out. Overall, I highly recommend it!

[ This is my first puffer vest. I usually wear a slimmer top layer, but this vest is warm! I got a Large, but could probably fit a Medium better. I knew I wanted to wear a layer( or two) underneath and sized up. This vest( and my added layers) would have fit fine as a medium. I 'm on the shorter side, around 5'3, and this was a great length. The pockets are well lined and warm. The zipper is smooth and the flap covering it does n't let the cold air through when snapped. My only dislike was cold air coming in the sleeves, but that is a vest- related risk, regardless. Great style and it will get a lot of wear.

The DSG running vest arrived right in time for the late fall/early winter temperature drop of Wisconsin. Perfect weight running vest for below freezing mornings. Does excellent job blocking cold winds and keeps my core warm. I have used this vest for many early cold mornings and have been extremely happy with the breathability. Vest has extremely large pockets for those who like to carry phones, nutrition packets, etc. Only thing I would change about this vest is adding some added reflective areas. The small strip in the back reflects very well, but some in the front would be good. I have overcome this issue by just using my clip on safety light and it stays mounted well on the pocket area. Definitely recommend this vest for cold weather runners.

I 'll admit when I picked this vest up I was a little hesitant on its warmth keeping abilities do to its light weight and fragile feel. Let's just say I was very impressed how well it works to keep me warm. This is a great little vest. I would think the full sleeve jacket version would be too warm for me on a regular basis in the spring time in the PNW so this is perfect for my needs of casual walking around and hiking in 40- 50 degree weather. Over 55 degrees walking around I start sweating with this and a long sleeve shirt on. Very happy with this purchase.

First off I 'd recommend going a size down if you 're planning on wearing this with light and thin underlayers, but if you 're wanting to wear it with thicker items like the Canada Shirt, I 'd go with your true size. The main feature I love about this vest is how it does not pill easily. I 'm pretty hard on my clothing and wear things out quickly, but this vest really holds up. It's got plenty of pockets that make it a worthy travelling vest, and the G- 1000 on the shoulders ensures that you wo n't wear through them while carrying a bag or heavy load. This piece also keep you just warm enough without being too heavy.

This is a really great vest and especially the design is perfet as it is sleek, functional and provides both warmth and protection for the shoulders.
