[ It ’s far too warm to try this out here in the southeast yet, but I am impressed. It weighs little( comparable to a down vest), fits great( Medium, 5 ’ 7 ”, 155 lbs), and packs down small. It ’s just what I wanted for some emergency warmth when I ’ m out in the woods. I wanted synthetic insulation because we don ’ t have that dry cold of the frozen north in which down excels; I ’ m more likely to be cold and damp.

Just that extra touch of warmth maybe a little bit more and without the bulk. Its feather light. Needs a chest pocket but zippers and extra material add weight I get it. Glad I purchased this vest as it is easily a quick grab go to especially with the mild winter so far in the PNW. It will be with me every time I am carrying a day pack as well while skiing.

I 'll admit when I picked this vest up I was a little hesitant on its warmth keeping abilities do to its light weight and fragile feel. Let's just say I was very impressed how well it works to keep me warm. This is a great little vest. I would think the full sleeve jacket version would be too warm for me on a regular basis in the spring time in the PNW so this is perfect for my needs of casual walking around and hiking in 40- 50 degree weather. Over 55 degrees walking around I start sweating with this and a long sleeve shirt on. Very happy with this purchase.

First off I 'd recommend going a size down if you 're planning on wearing this with light and thin underlayers, but if you 're wanting to wear it with thicker items like the Canada Shirt, I 'd go with your true size. The main feature I love about this vest is how it does not pill easily. I 'm pretty hard on my clothing and wear things out quickly, but this vest really holds up. It's got plenty of pockets that make it a worthy travelling vest, and the G- 1000 on the shoulders ensures that you wo n't wear through them while carrying a bag or heavy load. This piece also keep you just warm enough without being too heavy.

This is a really great vest and especially the design is perfet as it is sleek, functional and provides both warmth and protection for the shoulders. It would be cool to have this product as a jacket with long sleeves( kind of like the forest fleece jacket but with this vests ‘s colours). Would be great!

[ This vest is built very nicely. The colour is a mixture of brown and olive green. A little more brown than I expected. The vest is not AMAZINGLY warm, but it does add a bit of warmth to my layering. The only feature that I am on the fence about is the size of the collar. It looks great when the collar is zipped up all the way, but if you unzip the collar and fold it down, it looks awkwardly large. Aside from that, I am VERY happy with this vest, and I use it almost every day.

Perfect mid- layer fit. I 'm 195lbs/ 6' 3 ''/ XL. It is a mid- layer fit though! goes great over most mid- layers( fleece, light insulation, or fitted sweater) with the limiting factor being the size of the arm holes. Also fits great under heavier outer layers and adds a significant amount of warmth. Love the double zip. Simple, functional, and stylish piece.
