Was looking for something comparable to the Project X Smoke Black and this kept coming up in reviews. I was skeptical since it's$ 59. 99. So far it seems to be a good comparison and maybe even a bit better. I have n't compared on the launch monitor just yet but playing a couple of rounds it seems like it still helps me not turn it over too much yet it feels like I 'm getting more distance.

i ended up getting this shaft put into my sim 2 max 3 wood as a stiffer option to the one that came with it. lets just say it did n't disappoint, it is a great shaft and probably my favorite in my bag. my 3 wood i use strictly off the tee as i 'm not very comfortable using a bigger head off the deck. It does a great job keeping the shaft stable throughout the swing and for me it has resulted in better contact with the ball and with that more yards as a result. this shaft has helped so much with stability that it sometimes makes me question which club i should use off the tee. Ive played with this since Nov. 2021 with this i have a 300 yard drive on a par 5, a 270 drive on a par 4 and another 270+ yard drive on a par 4. Great shaft, so good that i 'm currently looking at getting one for my driver to maximize its potential and to avoid the issue i 'm currently having with gapping for my tee clubs. 10/10 on this shaft and its a relatively cheap compared to other high end shafts.

Bought this Kuro Kage Silver as more of an experiment to see if a slightly heavier shaft with a bit stiffer handle profile would be a good substitution for my other high performing Fujikura Motore X F1 6X. Sometimes that shaft can get a little lost in the swing when my tempo gets a little aggressive. The Kuro Kage Silver 69g X flex does NOT disappoint. This shaft is true testament that A) Mitsubishi does n't skimp on their lower cost shafts and tolerances are just as tight as their$ 400+ offerings, and B) you do n't need to spend$ 250-$ 500 to get a premium high- performance shaft. Just pay attention to the profile characteristics. I have this paired with a 2021 Mizuno ST- Z and boy what a combo. The feel of the shaft is a little more stout than the Motore X but not boardy at all. It is more of a full profile feel that just stays in the zone through the entire swing rather than more of an aggressive release like the Motore X. Club head speed is identical with the Kuro Kage so no distance lost. Spin is just a hair higher by about 100+200 rpms but that's not an issue as my spin with the Motore X is sub 2000's. Distance is nearly identical with both. Disbursement is tighter with the Motore X when I 'm staying within my swing comfort zone but does n't really give me confidence when I need to really unload. The Kuro Kage however allows me to still find the fairway whether I 'm swinging at 80% or 100% and I think it's due to the slightly stiffer and heavier profile. Either way, it is extremely stable under light or heavy pressure. Love it!

I have a new Mizuno STZ- 220 9. 5* Driver that had a HZRDS X- Stiff 60g shaft on it that snapped when clubs fell off cart in an a haphazard accident lol. Scott at my local dicks was able to get replaced with the adila stiff 65g replaced in 2days in a rush before an out of town golf trip. So a bit more flex and weight. Been hitting a hair further more consistently than the lighter x stiff. Saved the day!

I ’ ve had the Taylor Made R11 driver for years and would always try and hit it but always had a huge slice. I would get frustrated and would always put it away and hit irons off the tee box. Finally went to Dicks Sporting Goods and had them replace my old floppy shaft with this new stiff flex shaft and what a difference. The True Temper Score LT shaft is very underrated. The quality control is excellent and raw weights are spot on +/- a gram. I play these shafts and they are as good as any mid weight shaft on the market for 1/3 the price.. They have a nice feel and produce a medium high trajectory. So you have to purchase an adapter& grip. Let's get that out of the way, you 'll need epoxy, grip tape too with grip solving solution. That being said this shaft is everything I needed, much more stiffness than my last stiff driver shaft. Great feel, the shaft added yardage to my drives between 10 and 20 yards to my drives. Take not the shafts come stock at 46 '' you might need to cut 1 to 1. 5 inches off unless you 're tall or want to win a long drive competition

This shaft replaced a standard shaft on a Stealth driver. Came into the store to try a stiff shaft. After about a dozen hits on the simulator, the sales associate suggested an extra stiff shaft. He changed it out and my son was driving the ball close to 300 yards, with a club speed around 112mph and a ball speed of 168mph, and each one down the middle of the fairway. Absolute game changer.
