[ This is exactly what is advertised. This is a strong quicklink that comes in SS or Zinc Plated. I use this for anchors on highlines and have had no issues. The screw action of the gate is easy to do by hand which is nice.

[ These things look like they could survive a nuclear war. All the rock would melt away and these would be shining in the pile of rubbel waiting to be whipped on. They certainly inspire more confidence and are cheaper than the ones you 'll find at the hardware store. I would n't carry one as a bail biner only because they are huge and heavy.

These are by far my favorite non- locking carabiners. They are incredibly light, comfortable, never snag, and I personally enjoy the pleasant chime they make as the carabiners at the end of the alpine draws rattle together. For alpine draws, I generally make them from the colored rack packs. Then as I buy more cams, I can always switch out the color I need with silver, black, or orange( because those are the only colors offered in singles). For example, if you need 4 blues for 2. 3s and 2 3s for a double rack, you have to buy 4 rack packs. Then you can make 5 alpine draws with the extra carabiners. When you buy that# 5, or. 1,. 2 etc..., you already have the color you need.

[ I bought a few of these to have a smaller carabiner than the Slidelock# 4. They have been SUPER useful. I 've been able to attach water bottles and gloves to my pack shoulder straps with this. I have also been able to attach my waterproof phone case to my kayak with this. Extremely useful product and I could not be happier with it.
