I 'm still using about a dozen of the original hot- wires I bought in the 90's. The gate action is as good as ever and I have never had 1 get sticky. They are the most long lasting carabiners I have ever had. The rest of my rack is on original neutrinos which are just as good as the hot- wires. I ca n't say enough about how well these have held up. 15 Bigwalls and well over 1000 days of climbing over the last 25 years

[ Quality Feel. Colors are sweet. Nice large size. Thinking this will be a good option if I need a little more length to equalize anchors and will make clipping into a belay system just a bit easier. On a less serious note, seems fitting for this brand to be used at a camp. I have n't used it yet, so the durability rating is n't super useful for you, but build quality seems to be on par with other major brands.

[ I have been going back and forth with this carabiner. I do like it lot and it does address the issue of cross loading quite well. The DMM Ceros Quicklock Carabiner is my favorite for tubes and this has become my favorite for assisted device. I use it with the Mad Rock Lifeguard and of course they match up perfect. The only issue I have had is the belay loop side could be a smidgin larger.( really not a big deal- but why I gave 4 stars on ease of use) But on the positive the `` red '' gate operates both gates. Push the `` red '' gate and both open. The blue gate is independent if opened independently.
4
87v6bird
[ This is almost exactly what I was looking for. It still serves my intended purposes but there are a couple of things I would change. First, I wish it was a little larger. As is, the gate openings are a touch small. Second I wish the red gate was not linked to the locking blue gate. I realize that this would mean both gates need to be locking instead.

[ This Carabiner is just the perfect size. I use this to attach the rope on my spread bar to the chicken loop on my control bar when I ride my kite board. I love these carabiners simply for the fact that they are n't over the top expensive, and its easy to carry a bunch of them without getting weighted down. The bluff I usually climb at is about a mile hike up a very steep slope, and often times I 'm camping out there too, so having light weight gear is always a bonus. The only draw back is that the size does make them a little more difficult to maneuver through/around a lot of other gear( if your setting a top rope in a precarious position for example) but I 've also never had it present an actual problem.

Travis
[ The William carabiner is a large frame, high load model. 27kn rating! Nice snag- free key lock design, with a wide gate opening. I typically use this as a masterpoint on multi- pitch trad anchors and top rope anchors due to its strength rating and it's rope capacity. There's more than enough room to clove hitch a 10. 2 rope twice! As with other Petzl screw locks, if the lock is overtightened or tightened while weighted it can get stuck. Simply reweighting or tapping on the screw lock while unscrewing it typically fixes the issue. I can see sandy areas causing an issue with binding on screw threads, but that is n't an issue that is unique to just this carabiner, it can affect all parts with threads. Overall fit and finish is exemplary, and the red indicator band is a nice touch.

Old man with really bad hands, using this one handed, this carabiner is the easiest twist lock that I can find for my size hands and limited mobility. Keeps me on the rock
5
John B.
The RockLock has to be the best twist lock around. I was looking for a larger twist lock pear shape carabiner with a large gate opening to use on my cowtails for caving and this hit the mark. This is the largest opening I can find in a twist lock. Twist lock is super easy to open with thicker/muddy gloves on. Easier to clean/decon and durable. Larger opening makes these super easy to use at anchors, quick to clip safety lines, or to clip the ledge above your anchor knot. I also use these for making a top rope anchor as remember to screw the gate down, I ’ m bad with that, and it doesn ’ t take two hands to manipulate like a trilock. I can not recommend these more.

[ I purchased this biner a couple months back. I 'm extremely happy I went with carabiner. Having the TriLocking technology has really put my mind at ease with climbing. The usability of the carabiner is quick, easy, and precise. Being able to combine the highest level of safety, and extremely fast and easy use is my number one goal in climbing. This carabiner definitely aids in that pursuit. Highly recommend.

Hubben1
[ As an arborist, working requires locking carabiners and snaps. I have been using the Am ’ d for as long as there has been a locking option. I have seen many changes over the years. This is my favorite incarnation by far. It is lighter than many other auto lockers, and this version of the ball lock is my personal favorite. The double auto locking ball is useable with gloved hands, which previous versions struggled to accommodate. I can refer the ball lock over the triact version due to the way they wear. I have had the triact fail to close when they get the older. This appears to be because of wear on the pin that aligns the key lock. This is a minor annoyance for me, because it is still usable for recreation. The size is versatile. Large gate opening accommodates every thing I throw at it, without being as bulky as previous versions. The shape seems to stay oriented well compared to other binders I own.
5
Hud the Stud
[ I bought this for the intended use of being the sole carabiner for my belay device. Originally I wanted just a regular locking carabiner, but I have to say I 'm extremely happy I went with this tri- locking carabiner instead. My local climbing gym recently mandated that all lead belaying had be done using a brake assisted device and I just got so tired of the `` normal '' locker bouncing around and getting sideways. [ Light weight wire gate carabiner. Fun colors and a good price. I bought this to replace a sold gate carabiner n a QuickDraw. Didn ’ t officially weight it but seems much lighter in hand.

[ I use Camp Photons in combination with 60 cm slings for making alpine quick draws. Super light while maintaining a large gate opening and basket. Highly recommended.

[ Love this biner. Snappy gate, light weight, and wide gate opening. The only better carabiner is the Dyon for its smooth nose but that's like twice the price.

[ Nearly as light as they come and will freak your second into thinking you ’ re using a keychain biner. Gate opening is small enough that with thick gloves and numb hands I ’ d be a little concerned. Pricy.

[ These are my favorite beeners to rack all my cams and nuts. They are very light and the clipping mechanism has just the right amount of spring. I tried a few other brands and these are still my go to.

[ I thought they were going to be smaller, but they´re great! size, weight. They work perfect. I have a lot of gear, and these karabiners ae very very handy. Try them!

[ Work great for racking cams. Enjoy they keep a lower profile on the harness and rack them a little higher. Gate is plenty large for the rope still.

[ These weight just 22g thats crazy light. I replaced the carabiner on all my cams and alpine draws! They are only 3 `` most are 4 '' so it takes a little getting use to but opens almost as big as standard carabiner. But 2 or 3 times lighter. I also love the thin nose. At a hanging belay you can easily fit 3 to 4 per an anchor. Making attaching gear very easy. They are just barely 1 or 2 on below most in the ratings and have plenty of safety factor for everyday use.

[ Super easy to operate even with gloves on. Haven ’ t gotten it too dirty yet so can ’ t speak on the action with dirt in the lock mechanism. Prefer it to the other 3 action locks that you push up then twist.

Bojack
[ This is definitely my preferred carabiner. The green dot/ball makes it easy to find the orientation no matter where it is on your belt. The added safety makes it a no brainer for tree work and every day climbers.

Clint
[ The ball lock is the easiest to use triple locker out there. Slightly fiddly with gloves on, but still easier than a triact. Also, my review was 15 characters too short, hence this sentence.
