My kids and I love our hats for a couple of reasons. First, they are so light that we do n't feel like we are even wearing a hat that gives great sun coverage, but we are! Second, my kids are able to get great sun coverage with comfort. In the past most of the hats they wore had brims in the back too. This would cause them to have to take the hats off when they sat in their cars seats, etc. Now they keep them on and they stay on because of the flat feature in the back of these hats! Great design! It is reinforced on the edges, wider than any other straw hat, and the entire underside of the brim is reinforced. However, you 'll have to break it in. It is a tight fit at first.
