This hat is cool because it has a brim for sun protection but it's not huge and floppy. Size up for a bit more brim, or down for a more compact brim. I am a redhead and these do the best job of protecting my neck, scalp, and face of any hat I have owned. I also love the folding brim so it can go in a pocket. The hat is a solid hat from Outdoor Research. It reminds me of one of my favorite hats from 4- 5 years ago from OR. The hat is a mid crowd hat compared to other older models breathable trucker hats. This is a great hat for any who spend a lot of time in the sun. So much cooler than most ball cap style hats. Much better air flow and space for your head to breath. It is an excellent choice for any fisherman who spends many hours out on the lake like I do. Provides great comfort and sun protection as well as shading your eyes so along with your polarized sunglasses one can see deep into the water. Speaking of sunglasses you will find the built in sunglasses holder alone is worth the purchase price!

I had high hopes for this hat and what can I say boy did it deliver. I had been looking for a new hat to replace my larger outback hats for doing yard work and just running around town. Exactly what I needed! I have one hat that is similar to this, but I am wearing it in every single outdoor photo so I wanted another for variety. Then THIS hat came along that ’s reversible!! I love it! It is exactly what I was looking for, but better! I love that it has a removable strap. It ’s there when I need it, but on a calm weather day I can remove it. With my other hat I would tuck the strap up inside, which was a bit annoying. This is the perfect hat for me, and now that it is reversible I have a little more variety.

I bought this hat specifically to store in my car, because one never knows when you might have to stand out in the sun for an extended period of time. I especially love rhis design by Sunday Afternoons, because it's lightweight, washable and quickly air- dryable( comes out looking like new!), the brim is wide enough to shade most of your face, the chin strap keeps it from blowing off, and while walking through a store I can either `` store '' the hat on my back by lengthening the chin strap adjustment or roll it up and put it in my purse. I never want to be without a Sunday Afternoons hat!
