I had seriously injured my leg 2 months ago and my physical therapist suggested I buy Asics, which I did. I 've ALWAYS been a Nike fan though but she said the soles were n't stiff enough. `` One '' of the multiple injuries was a badly broken toe which ca n't be fixed bc its too late. [ I 've been using these shoes as my off- road runners and hiking shoes since I received them, and they 're excellent. They 're lightweight, fit snugly, and have great traction. In the rocky AZ terrain, I had sure footing. I did n't find there to be a breaking in period, either, which is unusual. I had no blisters or hot spots on my usual spots: my heels and toes. They were breathable, too, so my feet did n't get too hot. I highly recommend.

[ This is my first time trying Brooks shoes, and I 've never worn a running shoe quite like this one. It is extremely light& cushiony and feels like I 'm walking on clouds, yet the wide base offers a great amount of stability and grip. The shoe also provides great foot and arch support. I used the Caldera 7s both on dirt trails and climbing rocks, and the soles seem to conform and adjust to different types of surfaces which helps relieve pressure on my joints. Although they are trail- running shoes, I would wear them for everyday walking or standing because they 're that supportive and comfy. They run true to size- I am a size 10 in Women's, and they fit perfectly. The mesh fabric is breathable, and I 'm impressed that Brooks uses recycled materials for their shoes. The bold design of the Caldera 7 is n't quite what I would typically wear, but the shoes look great on, and the colors are very eye- catching. My podiatrist recommended Brooks shoes a while back, and I can now see why. I 'm a new fan!

[ I have to rave about the Brooks Caldera 7's for a moment! Initially, when I received them I was skeptical about the height of the sole because even though I 'd consider myself an athlete, I am also a clutz. I 'm stoked to say that I have had zero issues with the height and I absolutely LOVE the extra cushion these shoes provide, while being very light weight! I 've never had a shoe that feels like it's providing great spring for your next step, but these definitely do.( I had a botched foot surgery, so I am VERY selective on shoes.) I know these are technically a trail runner, but they have become my everyday shoe as a Midwesterner in this frigid winter weather. The Caldera 7's have provided much comfort on slick, icy parking lots and sidewalks because the grip is out of this world. They have also been a fantastic shoe for booking it through the airport quickly! I 'm excited to see what Brooks next color ways will be for this shoe. The ones I have are a fun pop of color for this dreary winter!( For reference, I have a more narrow foot.)

There are a lot of details on it which I like very much especially the elastic to fix the shoelaces to make them less likely to loose. Just got in a bright blue pair of Devotion X Max RS shoes in my usual size 7 and I am blown away by how comfortable they are right out of the box! I 've owned many pairs of Rykas to do my neighborhood walks in, and this pair is by far the best I 've ever enjoyed from Ryka! Thought I 'd have to break them in the other day, but they were so comfortable on my 4- mile walk that I actually walked my quickest time in years! Was n't even trying to walk fast, but these are so light, spongy in a good way with wonderful arch support, and so comfortable that I walked quicker than normal. Do n't hesitate to purchase this shoe, as it's a good one! Already have another pair on order, that's how much I love them! All Rykas are good shoes, but I 'm happy I discovered these.

I disagree with the below review. I ’ m a doctor and on my feet all day. And I ’ m a women ’s true size 11, the ghost max is true in size. Love the ghost max. They ’ re so comfy and keep my feet comfortable all day. I have 2 of the ghost max, more of other Brooks. The ghost and ghost max are my favorite. Highly recommend.

I am size 9. 5 and first tried the size 9. It was too short and my toes were falling out of the shoe. The width was perfect though. I then tried the 10 instead. They are a good length, maybe a little bit too wide, so not perfect but better than the size 9. They are very comfortable. People say they aren ’ t comfortable but thats just because they compare them to adidas foam shoes. They might not be as comfortable as that, but they are much more comfortable than the average sandal

I am a teacher; I am constantly on my feet all day. When I bought my first pair, I was able to wear them all day. Even with tennis shoes on my feet would be a little tired. Best thing next to Calm slides. I bought these after a trip to Texas with the Calm Slides. I bought these after I wore slides on second day and developed a blister on side due to friction and a lot of walking. These those check all the boxes straps and cushion. I had to reorder and size up tho for some reason my toes went over edge when stepping. Happy to get in pink and black!
