I have had these straps hanging outside in the Florida environment for about 13 years. Every day, all day. I just replaced them with new ones just because the handle rubber split. I dont know of anything that can withstand the Florida elements like that.

I have been using this equipment for over 12 years. I have put it to hard use both inside and out in nature, over tree limbs and pull up bars. It has held up remarkably well. It is also useful as isometric straps. I keep it in a bag in my car when I go on my month long road trips. Originally I owned the first version( which I still have and use) but this version is even better because the straps are wider, the handles allow for comfortable foot straps, which allows for some potent lower body exercises. The handles are thick and comfortable. The adjustments are quick and easy to make. One of my favorite strength and mobility tools.

` I am a 50 year old occasional hiker who has n't had a new pack since college. Just spent 3 days hiking in the Catskills with this pack on my back for 7- 8 hours a day and I love it. Plenty of space and super comfortable. I barely noticed I was even carrying a pack, had zero shoulder or back strain, and like the frame that allows for some airflow through the back area- a big plus hiking in 80+ degree weather. Someone wrote that the Hikelite is lacking a handle loop. IDK, mine has one. As I do with all my backpacks, I put a large S- biner on it, so I can hang it, it even hooks over 40 cm thick stall doors so I do n't have to set my pack down. Bought this for a spring backcountry ski mountaineering trip up to the summit of Shasta. Was absolutely perfect. Jammed everything I needed inside: shovel/ probe/ boot crampons/ ski crampons/ layers/ food/ water/ misc/ etc... Fast in the transitions, great for slinging skis, lightweight, easy to dig around for snacks and layers etc... Perfect Pack for a day backcountry guiding or a multi day backcountry adventure. I use this pack daily. It fits everything I need for a day of splitboarding with room to spare for the extra large puffy on those chilly days. Perfect amount of pockets for me. I put my rescue gear in the front pouch and everything else in the middle. Snacks, headlamp, inreach, etc in the top pocket. Completed the Everest Base Camp Trek a few weeks ago. Out of 8 people in our group there were 5 of us wearing Osprey packs. I had the Scarab 30 and loved it. We hiked in sun and rain, hot and cold, through wood and over rock fields. This pack was on my back every day every step of the way. The bladder was full with an extra bottle of water on the side at the waist belt and the bag was full with essentials for weather swap outs and everything i needed to get from A to B and survive without my big duffel. It never chafed my shoulders or waist, felt great on my back and did n't sweat me up by allowing air to flow around it. It was exactly the right choice. The design of the bladder makes it very easy to fill and shove back in its home. the only thing i would change or add would be a cover over the drinking port. We were dropping our packs in a lot of places, on trails in Tea houses, coffee houses and different temples, everywhere and the drinking port always ended up on the ground. Would of been nice to have some sort of cover.

Haven ’ t used it yet but in theory, this should be a Great pack and possibly the lightest per volume pack made other than skimo packs. Also, this pack can carry fat skis. My Volkl Shiro ’s that are 151 in the tip and 129 in the tail can fit in either the a frame or diagonal cary. Plus the internal Velcro pocket is wide enough to fit a DK impact spine protector.

Fantastic design. I love the separate avalanche gear pocket and the easy open and closure. The material is great and does not get wet in many snow conditions. Very comfortable for my smaller 5 ’ 1 frame. I just wish the smaller sized pack came with a helmet strap like the others:)

This is the best ski and multi- sport pack I have used. Simple, durable, and light. Thoughtful features& clean lines. It can fit all my gear for most days, and can be cinched down fairly small if needed. I mainly ski tour with it, but it has worked great for ice climbing, rock climbing, and just a plain 'ol hike.
