[ This was perfect to put in the yard for star gazing during the meteor showers last week! Super lightweight, compact and easy to inflate!! Grabbed a few blankets and my daughter& I snuggled up watching the meteor shower, really love this! Can ’ t wait to take it camping when the weather warms up

[ My daughter used this on our most recent summer camping trip. it was very comfortable and compact for car camping.

[ I ’ m not a camper but was excited to try this out!!! We got it on the 16th and are camping as we speak!! It give the perfect amount of cushion under a sleeping bag. It was easy to assemble and very light weight for how much padding it gives.

[ We recently used this while staying at my in- laws. It's lightweight as it says, nice and long, but could be a little wider. Wider. What's great about it is everything you need comes in the box, so easy to use! Looking forward to taking it camping!

This made sleeping on a cot so much more comfy! I was falling asleep testing it out. The only reason I ’ m giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because it kind of takes forever to fill it up. This would be sped up if you had some kind of pump to make it easier. But I ’ d still recommend it!

I bought 2 of these several months ago for the Wife& I. These are a GREAT 3- Season Backpacking Sleeping Pads. As a bonus, they fits perfectly in the zip on side pockets of my KarrimorSF Predator 80- 130 Liter PLCE Modular Backpack. These Sleeping Pads inflate relatively quickly, requiring only a couple of extra puffs to bring the pad up to full inflation. They deflate even quicker with a little extra help& pack easily into the provided stuff sack.

Excellent for hickers! Small and light. Good for all ages.

I 've used this on several Midwest backpacking trips and sleep comfortably without having to pack some monstrous pad. Much preferred to foam.

5 Dt1225
I was so surprised at the comfort of this pad. I am a big guy( 6' 2 '' '' 250#) and this has not let me down. Self inflation is quick and I only have to add 4- 5 puffs of air to get it to my liking. On VERY cold nights, I put it in a home made sleeping bag liner( flannel from local craft store) and it slides nicely inside my mummy bag.

[ I was excited to receive this product. Although I did not use it outside, I have used it indoors. I have a bad back and like using it on the floor for movie night. It is comfortable for me. Love this sleeping pad, it is lightweight and very compactable. Comfortable for a side sleeper. I had to use the lifetime warranty 1- year after purchase due to some issues with the valve and the team was helpful and amazing and I got sent a new one. Highly recommend!

[ This is the best mat out there. Super light, relatively durable considering how lightweight it is and their customer support and lifetime warranty make this the best purchase that exists.

[ Probably the best I ’ ve ever used. As a side sleeper was amazed I could lay comfortably on such an insubstantial pad. Packs very small, blows up with only 10 big breaths. Love it.

5 Nol P.
[ Very happy on how fast I received a replacement of my original purchase. Thank you!

5 golpeador09
[ Heard good things about it from other people so I gave it a try. It works well, packs down very small, and is very light. Like other reviews say, you will sink through if just sitting on it, but once you lie down, it keeps you cushioned up off the ground. It's tricky to get all the air out and get it back into the sleeve, but overall, I was pleased with the product.

I live in Northern Minnesota where the nights are cool most of the year. May and September can have snow and June and August have some nights in the 40 degree range. I am always too cold and have struggled to fine tune my sleep system so that I can sleep through the night. I have gotten lower and lower rated sleeping bags in synthetic and down, an insulated inflatable pad, tried liners, wool base layers, hand warmers in double socks, hot nalgenes. I could go on and on. A friend recommended this pad and the first night I tried it, the temp was in the low 50s and we slept with the fly off. What a difference! Same bag, same set up as usual and not only did I sleep but I woke up too hot. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED. I love this pad for its versatility around camp but especially for the added warmth at night!

5
This pad is a must have for backpacking. It's ultra- lite, really comfortable, can be thrown anywhere to use as a pad or seat, and mostly it is very warm. It's ability to regulate temperature is surprising; it does n't get too hot on the hot days and it keeps your back side toasty warm throughout those chilly nights. Highly recommend.

5 Tristan
Who thought the classic closed cell foamed pad could be upgraded? NEMO made an awesome job coming up with something even better that what was already in the market. It is definitely more packable, and it regulates temperature quite well. From hot days to cold winter nights, the pad remains comfortable and warm. I 've used it in combination with the Vector as well as on its own. This kind of pad can be used in tons of different ways, and that is what makes it a must for any backcountry adventure!

5 grannie
I like this pad a lot! Much more comfortable than its competitors and packs down better. I bought it to increase the R value of my inflatable, but found out I can comfortably sleep on it by itself. I wish they would make a 25 '' wide one though. I would buy it in a heartbeat!

5
I love this pad! However, as pointed out by others, I could be wider. Personally it fits me fine but there could be a 25 inch version. Other wise I live this pad, and I love the brand Nemo all around!

Grabbed one to replace an older Tensor that has a pinhole somewhere. I loved my older Tensor and used it for the Appalachian Trail last year. I took this baby out for a spin last weekend. It was cold and rainy and muddy, but inside my tent was a luxury spa of comfort with this bad boy. 12/10 recommend

5 LightningBug
After a year of researching which backpacking pad to buy, I think I finally found* the one*. Last summer, I borrowed a Nemo Tensor from my friend and actually slept all through the night, every night on a week- long camping trip! As my old pad neared the end of it's lifetime, I would wake up on the ground, cold and unable to sleep. This pad is a huge upgrade from my previous pad, which lasted me for 10 years. I love the thickness of this Nemo pad and the design of the baffling, so that you do n't feel like you 're going to roll off the side( something that happened to me on my old mat). This pad packs down to practically nothing and feels quite durable for an insulated air pad. Instantly feels warm just laying on it at home. I ca n't wait to take it out with me this season! I now want all the Nemo products.

5 Liljinx88

When I received this pad I was worried about the small width. I tried it out for a night and found it to be comfortable and quiet. I am 5'10 '', 155lbs. I was able to stay on the pad as i tossed and turned during the night. I would recommend this pad and impressed with the weight. My precious pad that I used was a Thermarest Prolite( 31oz) and truly love it but needed something comfortable and lighter. I have several other pads that weigh close to the Tensor but were all over the weight of the Nemo Tensor( 14. 5oz).

[ This is not a brand I had heard of before but it had the features I was looking for at a great price so I thought... why not? I 've slept on this pad for several nights now,( warmer and below freezing temps) and as a side sleeper, backpacking pads are not always comfy... but this is. It's insulated, blows up within 10 breaths( usually 7- 8 for me), packs down to a nice size, is light and I do n't slide off it at all while I toss and turn. Because I sleep on my side, I find if I do n't blow it up firm.. it's great. It's definitely worth a try if you are on the fence.

5 AT Hiker 2021

[ Bought this mattress for an overnight backpacking trip in New Hampshire ’s White mts. Two nights temperatures dipped only to high 30 ’s but kept me very warm. Light weight and easy to inflate. Only down size was it was alittle bulkier than I was expecting. However worth the space in the bag for a warm restful sleep.

I love that the pad is easy to inflate using the stuff sack as the inflator pump- it helps me blow less of my own germs/moisture into the pad if I do n't have to put my mouth on it. It's a pretty thin pad but I do n't have any issue of feeling the ground when I lie down on it and the 'air sprung cells' are pretty comfortable since it's more flexible than a flat inflated pad. I am a big fan of the Hinman, for car camping its perfect for backpacking I 'd get something a little smaller. Its very warm, if you want it to be a little bit more soft blow it up just a couple more times by mouth after it fills up. I will say i was n't expecting how long it would take to blow up but if you unfold it right after you make camp and hangout for 30- ish minutes its not a big deal.

5
Used this on a recent trip to Joshua Tree in December with temps in the low 30s. This thing is amazing. I 've never been so comfortable tent camping before. Could n't feel the cold at all and had plenty of room for two of us. I could have slept on this for weeks.

The Big Agnes Zoom UL Insulated sleeping pad is an excellent choice for anyone who values comfort without sacrificing pack weight. It's impressively light and compact, yet provides a warm and supportive night's sleep thanks to its high R- value and insulated construction. The surface feels stable and quiet, and the larger outer chambers do a great job of keeping you centered through the night. Setup is quick, I use a small battery inflator instead of the full sack, and it packs down smaller than a water bottle. Overall, the Zoom UL Insulated is a top- tier pad for backpackers and thru- hikers who want premium comfort in an ultralight design.

It seems durable and wasn ’ t very loud. The temp went down to 35 and I was very warm. Definitely great for the price.

[ This sleeping pad is like a cloud. It's so soft and comfortable, you 'll never want to get out of your bag.( Unless you have to tinkle, of course.) But even then, you 'll be so reluctant to leave the warmth and coziness of this pad that you 'll probably just end up peeing in your bag.( Just kidding! Do n't do that.) This sleeping pad is also incredibly warm. It's perfect for those cold shoulder nights when you 're camping in Northern Michingan. You 'll be so warm and cozy that you 'll forget all about the cold weather outside. And this sleeping pad is also incredibly lightweight and packable. It's so easy to carry with you on your camping trips. You 'll never have to worry about lugging around a heavy, bulky sleeping pad again. So if you 're looking for a sleeping pad that's comfortable, warm, and lightweight, then this is the pad for you. It's the perfect sleeping pad for any camping trip, whether you 're camping in the mountains or at the beach. And if you 're looking for a sleeping pad that's also funny, then this is the pad for you too. Because this sleeping pad is so comfortable, you 'll be laughing all night long.( Just kidding! Or am I?)

5 Redrider620
[ I have the long wide version for solo trips and it facilitates the best sleep I can get while tent camping. Just picked up the double wide for trips with the wife. It is just as comfortable and even laying in the middle, by myself, on my side, the pad does not compress such that I touch the ground.

5 SamW
[ I ordered this for my partner who thinks most sleeping pads are too small and not thick enough. We have n't had a chance to really put it through the wringer yet, but first impressions are good. It is easy to inflate with the bag. Generously sized and seems durable( we camp with dogs that climb all over the seeping pads and I always worry about their claws). It's maybe a bit bulky/heavy but for the price point and r rating I think it strikes an excellent balance.

Rock solid pad. Lightweight and packable for the price. Good thickness. Way better than the Klymit pad I replaced with it. I 'm considering buying another one, because my daughter keeps stealing mine.

Backpacking and river trips. Comfort and lightness are the positives.

Am a 6' 4 ''& 235lb BSA scoutmaster and always get good sleep on this pad. Chose 7oz lighter 25x78 uninsulated Divide for backpacking I sleep in wool layers if it is cold. Inflation squeeze bag puts air into pad via one way inflation port, which avoids saliva or breath contamination. Baffles provide stability across the entire pad, with no soft spots. On 3+ night trips, I have to add air, so it must leak a little. The material does n't seem are noisy or slippery and my ultralight down bag stays atop it the entire night.

I have one of these for every family member. They are tough and reliable.

[ I was surprised at the quality of this product! i wasn ’ t familiar with the brand but it ’s very nice! Air quality was nice and the covering was also nice. The only downside was the size… i felt it was much smaller than i expected for an adult

Used it for my Eurovan mattress replacement. It's slightly big but super comfy.

Pros Awesome mattress nice and thick. Slept on a couple of roots didn ’ t even know were there until I picked up the mattress. Really was comfortable and worth the$$ Con If I were to change anything I would say you could go to 28/30 inches You also have to be a magician to get the mattress back in the bag takes a lot of work however when I got home we used the vacuum to deflate them fully

This pad is absolutely the BEST. I bought a regular wide and used it to stealth camp in my Honda Element at the crag this week. Long story short I 'm buying a double soon to keep in my vehicle at all times, and using the regular for tent camping when necessary. If you 're researching for van life, stop. This thing is your solution.

THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST COMFORTABLE THING I 'VE EVER SLEPT ON. And that includes real beds. I sleep on this in my car, in my tent, cowboy camping, under a tarp, and even when I crash at a friend's house. Impeccable comfort, ease of use, and durability.

I 'm Search and Rescue. There are a lot of nights where I have to sleep in my truck at base camp or just catch some shut eye before I drive home. It really wide and plenty thick for a soft or supportive sleep. I can toss and turn all night and not wake up sore.

[ Love the fact that it is made of sugar cane. I 've only tried this at home but planning to use for winter backpacking as insolation under inflatable sleeping pad. It is very light weight and comfortable, no rubbery/plastic noise during sleep like the `` z '' shaped foam pads. I can lay it on the floor, put two blankets on it and sleep well. But for people who do n't usually sleep on floor, there may not be enough cushioning.

[ This matt is lightweight, no weird smell out of the box, and is very comfortable on its own for fall season Northern California camping! It got squished in the car and regained its shape in no time.

5 Roggie27
[ This pad is exactly what I was looking for. Light and comfy enough for 3 season and extra insulation for my wife in winter. This is my first rolled closed cell pad. Had a little trouble keeping the pad from rolling up under my feet, but got a bit better with use.

My golden retriever loves this pad when he goes backpacking. It is perfect for a big dog and you do n't have to worry about claws puncturing it. It keeps him warm and comfortable at night in the sierras.

Frequently Asked Questions For Thermal Sleeping Pad

Thermal sleeping pads provide insulation and comfort, making them essential for camping and outdoor activities. They help retain body heat, ensuring a warm sleeping environment even in cold conditions. Additionally, many thermal pads are designed to be lightweight and portable, making them easy to carry on hikes or trips.

When selecting a thermal sleeping pad, consider factors such as insulation type, thickness, and weight. Look for pads with a higher R-value for better insulation in colder temperatures. Additionally, think about your sleeping style and whether you prefer a firmer or softer surface.

Yes, thermal sleeping pads can be suitable for various seasons, especially those designed for four-season use. However, it's important to check the R-value and insulation features to ensure they meet the demands of colder weather. Some pads are specifically designed for summer use, so consider your camping conditions when choosing.

Thermal sleeping pads are typically made from materials like foam, air, and synthetic insulation. High-quality pads often use durable, water-resistant fabrics to enhance longevity and comfort. The choice of material can affect the weight, packability, and insulation properties of the pad.

Thermal sleeping pads generally offer better insulation and warmth compared to traditional sleeping pads. While traditional pads may provide basic cushioning, thermal options are designed to retain heat and provide comfort in colder environments. This makes them a preferred choice for winter camping or cold-weather adventures.

Absolutely, thermal sleeping pads can be used for various activities beyond camping, such as backpacking, hiking, or even as a comfortable surface for outdoor events. Their portability and insulation make them versatile for any situation where a comfortable sleeping surface is needed.
