[ I ordered this for my partner who thinks most sleeping pads are too small and not thick enough. We have n't had a chance to really put it through the wringer yet, but first impressions are good. It is easy to inflate with the bag. Generously sized and seems durable( we camp with dogs that climb all over the seeping pads and I always worry about their claws). It's maybe a bit bulky/heavy but for the price point and r rating I think it strikes an excellent balance.

I was skeptical at first because the description said it was insulated and when I received it, it was rolled up paper- thin. But somehow it works. I have only used it camping with low temps in the 40s so far, but I never had that feeling of all the warmth getting sucked out through the mattress like other inflatables I have used. It is also plenty wide enough for 6' 3 '' dude and the V- shape is surprisingly comfortable.

inflates quickly and stays inflated all night. comfortably fits two people. we took it camping and it was so much easier than lugging the air mattress. it also helped keep us insulated from the ground so it was n't so cold. very beginner friendly for camping as it's light weight and effective. would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys comfort as well as the outdoors. make sure you keep track of the bag it comes in!

So far I ’ ve only gotten to try this out while car camping, and it ’s been great. I would take this backpacking if night temps are below 32, just for the thermal value of sleeping next to my partner on one pad, instead of separate on two. It is light and compact and easy to set up. We were very comfortable with night temps around 45°F. We used it with the double sleeping bag( not backpacking friendly!) and it interfaced well.

We bought this pad along with the Klymit double sleeping bag and the system is fantastic together. Is it the thickest sleeping pad? No, but it ’s thick enough to get a good nights sleep and I am 6 ’ 1 ” 205lbs. It packs down small for a two person sleeping pad and isn ’ t overly heavy. I wouldn ’ t take it on a trip in the dead of winter but we ’ ve used it in the late fall and didn ’ t get chills on our back. Also, it fit perfectly into our featherstone 2 person tent. I do a fair amount of camping in the warmer weather and have been looking for awhile for something like this to help on cold nights. I have 2 Ridgerest pads. I use one as extra comfort on top of my yoga mat. Purchased 10 yrs ago Ca n't live without it!!!!! Use it daily. Pure pleasure. I use the 2nd one, purchased 2 yrs. ago, for comfort, lying on the stone deck of an outdoor pool in the summer. I do not allow it to get wet. Great pad if you ’ re looking for something compact and affordable. Comfort is good considering its size. Easy to inflate as well. It only took a few seconds using the Klymit usb rechargeable portable pump. If you ’ re looking for max comfort and size is not an issue then I do recommend getting something larger and thicker. If you ’ re an ultra lighter looking for something to get you off the ground this is perfect.
