Very comfortable to sleep in. Has a lot of support. I get a really good night sleep. I ’ ve had trouble with other sleeping pads previously. This one keeps me from feeling any cold from the ground. Bulky though and takes up a lot of space in my backpack, but I guess that ’s what you give up for more comfort.

[ After much research on a new sleeping pad, I chose this one and was happy I did. Went camping immediately after it came and slept great! Super easy to inflate as well!

[ Tried it at home on a hardwood floor. Works and is comfortable and I am looking forward to taking it camping. I have nothing to compare it to, however, other than a cheap no- name one that was noisy and made me roll off. This is definitely better than that! I did expect it to ba a little smaller when rolled up but again, no experience.

For years I had the smallest version since it took up the least amount of space in a pack or suitcase, but I found it relatively uncomfortable since from the knees down I was on cold, hard ground( I 'm 5' 1). I finally got around to buying the regular size and WOW does that make all the difference in the world. I sleep so well when I 'm camping with this sleeping pad. My only complaint is now this one is like a foot too long! I wish there was a size in between small and regular, maybe a 65 inch or something.

[ I purchased this for my son to use on a Cub Scout camping trip. He's 11 yo and he slept very comfortably. The only thing that was a little bit of a pain was deflating it enough to fit back in storage sack. I had to unroll it and re- roll tighter it a few times to get all the air out. However, the valve did come in handy for this process. A

[ I bought this last month for my son as a birthday present. He's 13 and moving from a smaller child size pad. This worked great! He's in scouts so it will get used often. It compresses and rolls up compact for packing. It provides adequate cushion as well as some insulation from the ground temperature. Overall we 're happy.

I 'm only looking at getting another one because of how long I 've owned it. It is the most comfortable pad I 've ever slept on. Leading me to believe it contains one inch of miracle foam. I would ask how has it survived me, I am amazed. Sign me, Happy Ole Guy

I bought this either expecting a pad way to big when deflated and rolled, or super thin and not durable. What I got was something very small When deflated and rolled, with a very durable fabric. Pleasantly surprised. I take this with me on trips for the unexpected but needed nap, and also on back pack camping trips. Slim on weight, and doesn ’ t take up much space.

I used this on top of a cot on a military mission for 6 weeks. I have a sensitive back and neck issues. It made my time on a cot comfortable and I felt like I was in an average hotel bed. Highly recommend!

Packs up nice and tight, inflates quick with a well designed valve, and is comfortable. Can lay on your side and won ’ t settle through to the ground. Will update durability as it gets more uses but very happy with the pad!

Awesome sleeping pad as long as you aren ’ t too worried about insulation. I bring this with me whenever I travel internationally( in carry on) and it comes in handy a ton. I ’ ve slept in multiple airports on it while everyone else was on the floor or trying to get comfortable on the benches. I ’ ve slept on it on bamboo mats in Japanese hostels to add some comfort. I ’ ve slept in a random spot in the alps when I didn ’ t get to the refuge I was planning for the night. A night under an overpass on the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage and I ’ ve done about 45 nights of car camping with it. Never had any leaks or holes, although I ’ m careful to almost always have a tarp or tent footprint underneath. The valve is awesome. It ’s the most comfortable sleeping pad I ’ ve ever slept on and the smallest. The only thing I would change is I ’ d like one that ’s 3/4 length to make it even more packable.

Great for car camping or canoe camping. I 'd want something lighter for hiking.

Starting with the specs it it very impressive. The quality of the sleeping pad feels great. Compared to similar models from competitors, this sleeping pad gives you higher quality materials than I felt I paid for. Very simple to use with a inlet and quick deflating outlet.. The storage bag also doubles as the inflator. For the thickness of the sleeping pad it is very comfortable. This is definately a great option for back packing, I 'm taking it to the Grand Canyon next month. 10/10 would recommend.

Great pad if you ’ re looking for something compact and affordable. Comfort is good considering its size. Easy to inflate as well. It only took a few seconds using the Klymit usb rechargeable portable pump. If you ’ re looking for max comfort and size is not an issue then I do recommend getting something larger and thicker. If you ’ re an ultra lighter looking for something to get you off the ground this is perfect.

This was purchased with the cover for it. This is being used as a sleeping bag replacement. The air valve is a little tough to get the cover back onto it, but nothing to take points away from. The design of the baffles causes you to `` Rock '' more when you shift your weight left or right. I found that if I slightly deflated the pad, this effect was dampened.

[ I ordered this for my partner who thinks most sleeping pads are too small and not thick enough. We have n't had a chance to really put it through the wringer yet, but first impressions are good. It is easy to inflate with the bag. Generously sized and seems durable( we camp with dogs that climb all over the seeping pads and I always worry about their claws). It's maybe a bit bulky/heavy but for the price point and r rating I think it strikes an excellent balance.
5
Redrider620
[ I have the long wide version for solo trips and it facilitates the best sleep I can get while tent camping. Just picked up the double wide for trips with the wife. It is just as comfortable and even laying in the middle, by myself, on my side, the pad does not compress such that I touch the ground.

[ This sleeping pad is like a cloud. It's so soft and comfortable, you 'll never want to get out of your bag.( Unless you have to tinkle, of course.) But even then, you 'll be so reluctant to leave the warmth and coziness of this pad that you 'll probably just end up peeing in your bag.( Just kidding! Do n't do that.) This sleeping pad is also incredibly warm. It's perfect for those cold shoulder nights when you 're camping in Northern Michingan. You 'll be so warm and cozy that you 'll forget all about the cold weather outside. And this sleeping pad is also incredibly lightweight and packable. It's so easy to carry with you on your camping trips. You 'll never have to worry about lugging around a heavy, bulky sleeping pad again. So if you 're looking for a sleeping pad that's comfortable, warm, and lightweight, then this is the pad for you. It's the perfect sleeping pad for any camping trip, whether you 're camping in the mountains or at the beach. And if you 're looking for a sleeping pad that's also funny, then this is the pad for you too. Because this sleeping pad is so comfortable, you 'll be laughing all night long.( Just kidding! Or am I?)

The thing was cozy and I slept like a baby. The only 2 things were that it was a pain to pack in a hurry( at first), and that it was too big to fit into my issued bivy cover. The former issue was simply remedied by forgoing the stuff sack included and simply either throwing it in a bag, or wrapping it in 550 or elastic cord. The fitting issue was n't the product's fault, as it is the `` long '' variant. I definitely plan to order a standard length one before the next field exercise; the thing made falling and staying asleep in weird sleeping spots easy. Word of warning, double check that the valve to let the air out is closed, before you try to start filling; it's common sense, you say, but it happens.
5
So far so good. I have n't used it in the cold yet but it's held up so far. Found my kid jumping on it and no leaks, so far it's sturdy. I like the width and thickness- I am a stomach and side sleeper. I do wish I bought a bag inflator or the usb pump. It's not fun to blow up but it's also not terrible. Packs up small as well.
5
This pad was very lightweight, yet durable for my backcountry hunting trip and made a huge difference in the sleep I got. It was very easy to setup and takedown.
5
I 've yet to sleep on it outside. Laying on concrete and hardwood flooring, it seems pretty comfortable overall. Length is amazing. Inflation and deflation are both simple and fast( so easy and so fast, which is great because usually you are inflating this because you are tired). The packed size is unbelievably small when compared to my old 90's era sleeping pad, and this feels just as burly, although I have yet to test it to that degree. Ask me again in 30 years?

These are great pads! They are light and add insulation and padding in rocky areas. I don ’ t know why I fought taking one of these back packing with me, world of difference.

I just started overnight backpacking and sometimes I just don ’ t want to mess with an inflatable pad. This fits the bill, lightweight, easy set up, easy to carry, clean, can use as a sitting mat. Worth the convenience. Comfort will depend on the individual.

The Nemo Switchback sleeping pad has become a staple in my gear. It ’s perfect on its own for warmer, minimalist trips and pairs seamlessly with my Nemo Longbow Alpine for extra insulation in colder conditions. The closed- cell foam design is lightweight, durable, and surprisingly comfortable. I love how easy it is to pack.... whether strapped outside my pack or tucked inside. The accordion- style fold makes setup and breakdown a breeze. If you want a reliable, adaptable pad that balances comfort and packability, the Switchback is a top choice!

I have a couple of these and I take one on all my adventures. I also volunteer with search and rescue and we are required to carry one because of the multitude of different uses. I suppose it's original intended use is as a sleep pad. I have used it alone like that several times and it works as expected if you sleep on it alone. Now let's get into a few other common uses that I 've found for it. Lay it out to kneel down in snow and dig through your bag and keep your knees off the cold ground, for a seat while taking g a snack break on the trail, for an extra insulating layer under an inflatable sleep pad, to protect your inflatable from punctures, i cut one up to add some extra padding on a pack once, i also cut pieces to make a padded belt for a home made sled once, I 've also cut up an old one to make small sit pads. They are cheap and very useful not to mention super light weight. Just get one and throw it on your pack. You wo n't regret it.

[ Bought the regular wide version of this pad to upgrade on comfort from a mummy pad. Very happy with it! I ’ ve used it down to around freezing temperatures and I was comfy throughout the night. The extra width is really nice. In my opinion, absolutely worth the added grams! My only complaint with this pad is the pump sack is kind of annoying to use, but it ’s not as bad as people make it out to be. It takes longer to inflate than other pump sacks, but if you can live with that, it ’s really not a big deal. I really like this pad, and wish I ’ d bought it sooner!!

I have used multiple of these over the years. They are arguably the singular top pick for durability, and a very good pick for warmth and comfortability. I have 2 Ridgerest pads. I use one as extra comfort on top of my yoga mat. Purchased 10 yrs ago Ca n't live without it!!!!! Use it daily. Pure pleasure. I use the 2nd one, purchased 2 yrs. ago, for comfort, lying on the stone deck of an outdoor pool in the summer. I do not allow it to get wet. I also use one as cushioning to do ankle/leg balance exercises for rehab after a broken ankle. One constructive criticism, the first mat, bought 10 years ago, is shorter than the newer mat. I much prefer the shorter one. Fabulous investment. Joy in my life.

[ Pad works good. Have n't tested it in really cold weather yet but it did fine for high 20's. It's not as comfortable as inflatable pads, but what I like about it, is that it's easy to deploy, it can be used as a sit pad or to put your gear on if the ground is wet while you are packing up camp, and it's the last thing to be put up so you do n't have to worry about deflating the pad and storing it in your bag. Fast and easy to use which is why I use it.

This one has a soft layer of what appears to me memory foam, which makes it very comfortable. The only downfall in my opinion is the trial and error to get the mattress inflated with the bag. It took me and a couple people to figure it out because the bag kept separating from the mattress when we were trying to inflate it. Other than that the product is great and would recommend.

Camping
[ After considerable research to find a mat that was light weight/small for backpacking, quick to set up, comfortable for a side- sleeper, and with a high enough r- value for 3 season camping, I settled on this one. So far, I have slept two nights on this mat and I 'm very happy with the comfort and ease of setting up. I have n't had time to test the durability or the warmth in cold conditions. Here are my thoughts:- It took between 10 and 15 of the pump sacks to fill the mat, less than 5 minutes from pulling the mat out to being set up.- The mat is very thick. When sleeping on my side, I do n't bottom out.- As the mat is only 20 in wide, it is easy to roll off if someone is a very active sleeper. As a moderately active sleeper, I found by putting one less sack of air in to the mat, I stayed on the it comfortably.- I spent an hour sitting/laying on the mat on snow( temperature 17F) with a sleeping bag to watch the sunrise. When sitting, I would bottom out but laying down I felt no cold seeping through from the ground.- There is some durability lost due to the light weight. I would n't use it directly on the ground, however for the weight, it feels like good quality. I expect it to last if kept on a tarp or in a tent.

[ So glad I bought this based on recommendations in Reddit. It is so light I can throw it in my pack without worrying about the weight, and it is not as noisy as some Youtubers claim. It is very comfortable, and it is not as flimsy as its ultralight cousin, so it will have more durability to it. So far it has been holding up very nicely without any leaks.

El Glando
[ I had to abandon my previous pad because I think I sacrificed comfort in exchange for what I thought was a good ultralight product( brand name withheld). But I have been struggling to get good sleep, and I knew that I had to upgrade my system to stop numb shoulders, falling off the sides, and touching the ground with elbows and hips. This pad has lived up to its billing as being larger and thicker while not adding back precious ounces. The valve system works fine, and so far I have n't experience pressure loss. I am impessed and optimistic for much better sleeping.

[ Barely weighs anything, super compressible, very comfortable, much warmth. Bit more expensive but highly recommend. Glad I pulled the trigger on this purchase. The inflating bag thing is a bit of a gimmick but it's a decent option to not make yourself dizzy.

Starry Sky Watcher
[ I was reluctant to purchase a NeoAir because of the numerous nights I 've been awakened due to my tent mates' movement and that loud crinkling noise. However, you ca n't beat the weight and warmth specs of the pad. I took the risk and bought one; the right choice! I am impressed with its size, weight, comfort and lack of noise- making!

This pad is very comfortable, and light weight. A great choice for backpackers who are looking for ultra- light options. Seems to be very sturdy, have never had any issues with any NEMO pads, and have probably spent 30- 40 nights on Astros.

Black Mountains Drifter
Very pleased with this pad. I 've had both hips replaced and I 'm a side sleeper- no issues or pain as opposed to my older Thermarest. Recently returned from a 3 day- 2 hike in the Black Mountains of NC and temps the first night were in the low 20's. I was concerned about the R- value in those temps, but we prepped the ground under the tent with pine needles, and if did n't experience cold transfer issues from the ground. There are two reasons I did n't rate the Astro with 5- stars. 1. When removing the Vortex pump sack, it was sketchy to not pull the value all the way out causing rapid deflation. 2. The tri- fold roll- up design was difficult to line up properly on a consistent basis. Both of these things are small issues in my opinion, but worthy to drop one star rating.

This sleeping pad has been on many outdoor trips with me. I even use this pad when I go out on military training. The comfort I get for just the small amount of space and weight it take up makes it a no brainer. I have no issues falling asleep on the quasar pad. I love how the curves nestles you to the center of the pad and definitely appreciate the long wide size. Like I said, I have taken this thing on multiple military excursions and have had no leaks or issues but if it comes to it I would definitely get another one without hesitation.

I do a fair amount of camping in the warmer weather and have been looking for awhile for something like this to help on cold nights. While I haven ’ t used it for that purpose yet( I bought in December)- I have been tucking it into my leather jacket for cold weather motorcycle riding and it ’s been such a game changer for me! I got a great deal on it as it was “ open box ” but it seemed brand new to me. Have been using it daily for a few weeks now and it ’s worked awesome so far.

I was skeptical at first because the description said it was insulated and when I received it, it was rolled up paper- thin. But somehow it works. I have only used it camping with low temps in the 40s so far, but I never had that feeling of all the warmth getting sucked out through the mattress like other inflatables I have used. It is also plenty wide enough for 6' 3 '' dude and the V- shape is surprisingly comfortable.

This made sleeping on a cot so much more comfy! I was falling asleep testing it out. The only reason I ’ m giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because it kind of takes forever to fill it up. This would be sped up if you had some kind of pump to make it easier. But I ’ d still recommend it!

[ My usage of this upon arrival differs from camping but went to use immediately just the same! Trying to break my toddler from co- sleeping and while putting her in her bed at night, she needs me by her til falling asleep and floor hurts! Enter this sleep pad! Slept a few hours on it actually and I 'm a 155 lb 40 yr old with back problems! I can honestly say, it did n't hurt! Being an odd size, I ca n't imagine any form of cover you 'd be able to put on it though. My only problem was that the inflation process to me, was difficult. It was taking FOREVER! I ended up just getting my plugin travel inflater and it was done in 2 seconds! Someone traveling, camping, extra person in an RV or hotel room, can certainly be pretty content with this item. I ca n't say how rocks would feel beneath it as I would imagine they 'd poke, it's thin, but on a flat surface it was just fine.

Was around 103 degrees during the day 85 at night. Easy to set and durable. Extremely comfortable, didn ’ t sweat at night everyone slept great! Then moved up to Gros venture along the Tetons. Temp during the day was around 83 night lows were in the mid 40s. We used fleece thermal liners paired with the tanami down blankets. halfbrokecollegestudent
This is hands- down the most comfortable sleeping pad I ’ ve ever owned or laid down on. The 3D contouring of the pad does contribute noticeably to comfort, and is thoughtfully designed. There are slightly larger baffles to lay your head on, while a shallow depression in the torso/hip area keeps you centered on the pad. Towards the foot end the contouring flattens out, presumably to let your feet fall wherever is most comfortable. Included pump sack takes a bit of practice but functions well and is a nice touch. The storage sack for the pad includes a mini repair kit too. So, how ’s it sleep? Coming from other pads, I tended to inflate this one pretty firm, and while it was still more comfy than the average pad, it wasn ’ t the cloud dream I hoped for. The magic happens when you use the micro- adjust valve to deflate this thing just a little bit( while you ’ re laying on it!) until you can feel your whole body sink into it slightly. At that point, prepare for the best night of sleep you ’ ve ever had on an uneven, rocky patch of ground. A few more notes:- this pad isn ’ t too noisy! Don ’ t expect utter silence, but it is significantly quieter than other ultralight air pads I ’ ve had.- the material is quite soft on your skin, and I ’ d be happy sleeping on it without a pillow, but this soft material also seems difficult to clean and prone to absorbing things like oils. Over time I ’ m curious how dirty this top fabric might get; for now I make sure to use a pillow or cover the head baffles with a camping towel.- I purchased the WIDE version of this pad, and I ’ m glad I did( it ’s so roomy!), but note that most “ 2- person ” backpacking tents will NOT accommodate two wide pads. Prepare to feel like terrible sleeping partner when you realize your mat takes up 70% of the tent floor space.

So far I ’ ve only gotten to try this out while car camping, and it ’s been great. I would take this backpacking if night temps are below 32, just for the thermal value of sleeping next to my partner on one pad, instead of separate on two. [ Couple quick overnighters logged so far and the pad has been inflated since time of purchase otherwise. It's the livability details such as the Air Stream inflation system having it's own compartment in the stuff sack, 2 stage inflation, deflation port and consistency of the baffles that makes a very thin pad sufficient for any sleeping position. The included repair kit is basically industry standard but it's better than almost all other brands included system. It's light, it packs small the only downside is the 1. 5 season use. On a 40F night it felt like my shoulder season sleeping bag was holding heat the same above and below me. I would not take this pad for any cold ground endeavors. It is a summer+ pass exactly as advertised and as several reviews state. Durability seems to have good reviews but I 'll have to follow up.

I ’ m not kind to my gear. This mat put up with a lot of mistreatment, but was able to hold its last breath almost 5 years after I ’ d originally purchased it. While it was an uncomfortable last couple of nights in the BWCA having to wake up every 2- 3 hours to re- inflate, I ’ m absolutely impressed by this product.

[ If you want to sleep as soundly in the wild as you do at home, this is the pad for you! I ’ ve used the Comfort Plus Insulated for over 9 years and it has yet to fail me. You get longevity, the ultimate in customizable comfort for 3+ seasons in a small package. Some might fuss over the weight, but I ’ ve found that every gram of this sleeping pad is worth it. Level up and get the air chair to convert this incredible pad to a delightful wilderness recliner. While I ’ ve found quality with all Sea to Summit products, this one is especially top of the line. From sleeping on the floor at the grandparents, to van life shenanigans, to the duck blind, to backpacking the Rockies this pad outworks all others and has been a constant comfy companion.

[ I have owned three of these and I ’ ve never had to replace one due to failure. I used one for 8 years of Military service as an infantryman in Arctic, jungle, and desert environments. This product never let me down. Since then I have bought two more. I love these and I expect them to last me a lifetime as a civilian hiker/ camper. I highly recommend this product for someone who needs a sleep pad that will keep comfortable all over the world when used properly and with a sleep system.

[ I´ve used this StoS sleeping mat on a 5- day kayak trip, and it´s been great so far. I have tried many different air sleeping mats over the years, and they´ve all disappointed me at some point, so let´s see how it goes with this one! Of course, I put a regular foam Z- type mat under the air mat, because after learning the hard way, I don´t want to wake up sleeping on the floor anymore.

[ Bought this pad to fit in my travel bag/backpack and to be used while visiting friends with limited bed space. Love this thing. So easy and comfortable to set up and adapt to my packable quilt. I ’ m pretty sure I prefer it over a bed now.

[ Love this pad! For the comfort it provides, I do not mind the extra space it takes. I kayak camp so the added weight is no issue at all. I sleep so well on this pad! [ This company has excellent design. I did love the two layer air system, so if one layer gets a leak you still have a little cush. And the blowup bag being integrated into the carry bag was pretty ingenious. It's a bit noisy. Especially noisy when you try it on a hard floor. Definitely less noisy on a soft surface but still crinkles. Takes slightly longer to inflate and deflate because there are two layers but not a big deal. In the end, I ended up going with a slightly thicker air mattress because i 'm a wimp and I just wanted a little more comfort. But if I was backpacking in the wilderness this would be a great choice because of the two layer system. I 'm very impressed with the company. Really nice design and really nice warranty.

Absolutely the most comfortable pad I ’ ve ever had. Love how small it packs down for our canoe tripping. I got the large and it ’s wonderful. took my comfort lite mat out to the rockies in august this year and had surprisingly great sleep on this thing. when its nice and full it keeps my hips off the ground which is new for me. spent 4 nights on the ct and was warm and cozy. the pump sac makes it easy to inflate the mat and my aeros xl pillow. i would love a discount code to grab the spark quilt with a liner:) durability is a concern with how lightweight it is but if i can get 2 seasons and a total of 30 nights with it i will be happy with the money spent

[ Returning my damaged sleeping mat was incredibly easy with Sea to Summit's return process. Not only did they replace the damaged sleeping mat with a brand new one, but they paid for the return shipping. I am delighted with the customer service I received and very glad that I decided to purchase a Sea to Summit product. I will definitely continue to buy from this company in the future.

[ This is a high quality backcountry sleeping mat that inflates with ease and stays inflated!! I also carry one in my SAR pack for emergencies.

I always like to wait until I 've used items like this multiple times before I write a review so I can be sure to really road test it. When I first received these sleeping pads, I was leery about how thin and lightweight the material was and was concerned they would puncture easily or otherwise be fragile, and I was also concerned they would n't be as comfortable as my older( and more bulky) pads. I have now used them on several backpacking and car camping trips and have found they are totally durable and are without a doubt the most comfortable pads I have ever slept on. It is amazing how light they are and how small they are when stowed and I am absolutely amazed with how comfortable they are- I 'm in my late 50's and have used lots of pads over the years and these are the best. I could n't be more pleased. I really like how the pillow attaches to the pad and I like how I can fill them up with the stuff sack, although it is a bit challenging to get the stuff sack to open up fully so it is full of air for filling purposes... only a minor thing but the one aspect I 'd suggest they work on improving for those times it's really cold or otherwise you want to fill up the pad quickly. Thanks again- I 'm thoroughly impressed and pleased and my back thanks you.

[ What I liked about this product is that the setup was very easy, and surprisingly it was very comfortable. I usually do n't give out nine and a half. But on this one I had to. This product will take away any uneasiness with going camping and feeling like you 're sleeping on the hard ground. What would I would improve is if you have to go blow up the nozzle to get rid of the chemical smell completely out of the air hole when you open it up. It smells really bad. I would definitely recommend this product to any of my friends and family for camping. Or a family party.

The level of comfort provided by this pad is exceptional. The generous thickness of the padding ensures that you wo n't feel any uncomfortable bumps or rocks underneath you while sleeping. The foam filling strikes the perfect balance between support and softness, allowing for a restful night's sleep even on uneven terrain. Whether you 're a side sleeper or back sleeper, this camp pad will give you plenty of support throughout the night. The self- inflating feature is a game- changer when it comes to convenience. No more manual pumping or blowing air into the pad! All you need to do is unroll it, open the valve, and watch it inflate itself within minutes. Deflating and packing it up is just as effortless, making it a breeze to set up and pack away, especially during those early morning departures. This camp pad is a top- notch product that brings comfort, convenience, durability, and portability together. Its self- inflating feature, coupled with its remarkable comfort level, makes it a must- have for outdoor enthusiasts. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and comfortable sleeping solution!

Getting to this mat has been a process for me. After years of sleeping on the ground I finally stepped up to some egg- crate foam. After scolding myself for not having made that move years ago, I stepped up to a `` self- inflating '' pad that made things even better. However, I would often wake up with pain or stiffness in my hip. I assumed that was just a consequence of an aging body spending the night in a tent. Then I discovered this mat. What a difference! It is lighter than what I had been carrying and far more comfortable. Blowing it up( one of my concerns) is not a problem. Absolutely recommended!

I recently retired my old Therm- a- Rest for this sleeping pad and now I can actually sleep at night! No comparison. It's easy to inflate and I like the mummy shape. I 'm exactly 5' 6 '' and the regular works perfectly. This is likely too heavy for PCT through hikers but for my 1-, 2- and 3- night trips, it's perfect. However, my very favorite Sea to Summit product which was an absolute game- changer for me for backpacking is the Aeros pillow. That has made all the difference between a miserable night and a great one.

Took this bad boy out on some recent backpacking in the Grand Tetons( Wyoming) and Maroon Bells( Colorado). Major upgrade from my previous MEC pad( that's Canadian REI fyi). Very decent weight given how insanely comfy it is( my bf has the ultralight insulated which is also great, a little lighter). Night temps were around 40 degrees, and I was so toasty( paired with the REI Joule sleeping bag). Super comfy even on uneven surfaces. I sleep on my side/back/front etc. and it was all comfy. So nice to wake up without aches and pains when you are putting your body through grueling hikes! My only suggestion is to add a feature that would allow two Sea to Summit mats to attach/secure lengthwise to one another( velcro tabs? IDK). Especially if you already got bags that zip together.. So when you are backcountry snuggling you can stay cozy with your boo, or your friend, or whoever is keeping you warm in the mountains.

[ Man this bed pad is great, I ’ ve had it on sand, rock, dirt, roots, and its comfort is amazing for how thin it is. Being completely honest, at 220lb I thought it wasn ’ t enough until I layed directly flat and some how some way there wasn ’ t a single pressure point even sleeping on my side! This bed pad is perfect and inflates so easy with the bag!

[ Dont like 3 ”+ mats generally because my arms spill off as I move around as a full rotation sleeper. Also have a bivy that can get cramped. This is more than a zlite and less than most and is perfect for me. I use a section of 1/8 ” clf pad under to keep mat from sliding around in the bivy

[ The engineering on this thins is great. The integrated inflation sack and dual action port work great and make for quick inflation and deflation. Pack size is just right and weight is truly UL.
