[ Been carrying this for almost a month and have found myself using it everyday. Having pliers available has been a game changer. And doing it in a lightweight package makes the Skeletool a huge win. I ’ ve carried a bunch of knives through my short lifetime, Spyderco, Benchmade, Kershaw, Microtech, etc. and they ’ ve all been great knives and I still own those knives. But the convenience of having a multi tool that weighs a little more or as much as a knife I already have, plus having a similar footprint as said knives, there ’s no reason I shouldn ’ t carry the skeletool everyday. Now is it perfect? No. If it had a pair of reliable scissors, like the ones from Swiss Army knives, then we would be inching towards perfect. But it definitely does a lot more than only having a knife, and it does it very well. I ’ ve come to find that the skeletool is also very customizable. There ’s a huge market that offers aftermarket modifications you can add to the tool. I ’ ve seen mods where you can add a hammer/pry tool to the end. And even seen guys add the aforementioned scissors. Possibilities seem endless. Should you carry it everyday in place of a knife? I don ’ t know, that ’s up to you. But should you give a try and see how you like it? I ’ d say absolutely and you ’ ll be pleasantly surprised.

The Surge is by far the heaviest multitool, perhaps a bit too much to use as EDC unless you are using the larger pliers all the time. First the aerated blade is my# 1 tool here I cut everything with it and I have to had any problems# 2 Plier head is small but not to small and it has mighty aggressive teeth that they also intertwined so the flat materials are hold for sure and# 3 the scissor is pretty good and it cuts very well I only wish it was a little bit longer and the tip a little more pointy. Let's make some justice to SOG PowerAccess... It is a tool, not a gadget. It works like a tool, looks like a tool and smells like a tool. It have no frills or fancy features. But all that is offered works well. Pliers are outstanding, period. Blade is good sized to work as companion for a pliers oriented tool. It is not a pocket knife, good to remember. All other tools are correct and works as expected. The lock mechanism works well. It is enough to keep the tools in place and safe, no issues on that. But the genius design is on the 1/4 bit driver. It simply works flawlessly and is so well made that makes me use that more than any other function. I am a field technician and SOG is my multitool of choice.

So I purchased the Topeak Mini P20 to toss in my frame bag. It's compact enough that it does n't take up a lot of space, and the neoprene pouch is great. It keeps it from scratching my phone which I sometimes also carry in the bag. In just a few weeks, I 've already had opportunity to use the chain tool, spoke wrench, and several of the allen keys. The chain tool is a bit tough to use because leverage is limited. Overall it feels solid and nicely made. Great Tool this is the second one I have gotten. The First kind of fell apart I used it so much. But I do suggest that the little knobs that you use to open the blades up with to put some super glue on them before you use because they get loose and fall off making the blade hard to open. I also could not find replacements.

I like that this one got rid of the seatbelt cutter which on my old one just got stuff and didn ’ t open smoothly, plus they ’ re shears.. just cut the seatbelt. The polished metal isn ’ t my favorite but I think it makes the shears glide much smoother so it ’s a change I can get used to. Also these cut through clothes like butter, I just bunch everything up and cut it without any problem or strain to my hand. Definitely recommend this over the other raptors or even if you ’ re thinking of upgrading! Bought this product for toothed fish primarily. Worked great right off the bat. Caught a 10lb baby northern pike. Handling was easy and much less stress on the fish than handling by hand alone. It grips very well and releases smooth with just the right amount of tension. As for both lanyards it comes with, it is perfect length for the corded to be attached at waist level. The magnetic one you can attach anywhere that is comfortable and easy reach that is out of the way. The magnet also is strong enough that if your within a 6 inch area of the attached magnet, it will start drawing together. Magnet is very secure with no issues of it easily detaching. It just takes a simple deliberate pull and it's ready to use. I did pick up a second one. One is attach to my spyder tackle bag to the shoulder strap attachment point and the other is attached to my fishing vest using 2 different point for ergonomics, ease of use, and out of the bloody way from fishing. I can unlock and close it one handed.. if there was a pivot on the main blade, I could open it one handed.. The file could be a bit better, last revision coming up pretty limited abrasion.
