I 've used a number of golf balls in my golfing career usually opting for the cheaper ones. I 'm a high single digit index and that has worked for me for quite a while. I decided to try these as they are a step up from what I normally use not expecting much difference. I was surprised. I like the soft feel and I do n't feel like I 've lost any distance( over the Velocity's). The added benefit is that I 'm getting more spin now. Of course that means I have to learn how to control and use that spin.

I 've played ProV1s for several years, but I 'm getting older and losing speed. This ball feels soft but still has goid carry and bite on the green. Slightly cheaper does n't hurt. Good all around golf ball.

Great for cool weather golf ... The flight and spin are comparable to a ProV1, they last longer and less expensive. ... Also pretty durable ... I like how the ball feels off the club, and still get some spin around the greens despite “ low spin ”

Soft golf balls are designed to provide enhanced feel and control around the greens, making them ideal for players who prioritize short game performance. They often feature lower compression, which can help with distance for slower swing speeds. Additionally, the softer cover material can improve spin, allowing for better shot shaping and stopping power on the greens.
Choosing the right golf ball depends on your playing style, swing speed, and personal preferences. Players with slower swing speeds may benefit from softer balls that compress easily, while those with faster swings might prefer firmer options for added distance. It's also important to consider factors like feel, spin, and durability based on your typical course conditions.
Soft golf balls can perform well in various weather conditions, but their performance may vary based on temperature and humidity. In colder weather, softer balls may feel less responsive, while warmer conditions can enhance their performance. It's essential to consider the course conditions and your playing style when selecting a golf ball for different weather.
Soft golf balls typically feature a softer core and a cover made from urethane or other soft materials. The core is designed to compress more easily upon impact, providing a better feel and increased control. The cover material also plays a crucial role in determining the ball's spin and durability, with softer covers generally offering more grip on the clubface.
Soft golf balls generally provide less distance compared to harder balls, especially for players with higher swing speeds. However, they can offer better control and feel, particularly around the greens. For players with slower swing speeds, soft balls can help maximize distance by allowing for better compression at impact.
