I recently purchased the Callaway Chrome Soft golf balls from Golf Galaxy, and I ’ ve really enjoyed playing with them. Bought a sleeve of these on Friday to test out this weekend and was very shocked at how much I enjoyed them. The ball had a little more pop off the tee than the Chrome Soft, but was still soft around the greens. Will continue to play the Chrome Tour.

[ I did n't expect these top- of- the line balls to be distance balls necessarily, but was immediately impressed by the fact these were consistently further than normal. I rarely hit the clubface center; I 'm happy if I hit a drive 220; my first round with Chrome Tour my drive distances were 223, 217, 236, 252, 189( toe), 237, 226, 230, 215, not counting the drives which hit trees. I hit a number of irons thin, and the ball seemed to almost self correct, continuing in the right direction and running up on the green. The ball has a medium soft feel, neither too hard or soft. A couple of full swing wedge shots spun back about 10 ft. I am a 72 yr old with 14 index. That first round I hit 8/14 fairways and 7/18 GIR.

Purchased ball 2 weeks ago and was able to get a couple of rounds in with it and I like the way it performs, it flies higher than previous chrome soft and has great greenside manners. It does seem to be a bit firmer but that ’s not a deal breaker for me, it will certainly be staying in the bag.

I purchased the new Chrome Soft to see if there was a difference from my older Chrome Soft golf ball. I enjoyed the flight off of the driver, I need to measure to see the improvement but it looks like there is a distance improvement. The ball flight from the irons was great and the action on the green acted the manner in which I wanted it to. The putting was great in that it had a great feel and roll, resulting in me making 8 one putts on my first round.

I read a lot of reviews about this 2026 version. I am a senior trying to reclaim some lost distance. I found one reviewer, youtube, who found 5mph increase in ball speed over the previous version with his driver. So I field tested it during a round against the new 2026 AVX. The 2026 chrome soft, for me, was consistently at least 10- 15 yards longer than the AVX. Sort of fits with that 5mph increase review. I am happy.

I 'm a 9 HDCP, so certainly not highest- level, but I can play a bit on a given day. So many quality balls to choose from, the reasons I love Chrome Soft are the feel primarily, and I really feel it holds up with all others in terms of distance and accuracy. I have no issue getting it to flight high and come down softly in order to hold greens. Again, I love the soft feel on and around the green too. Great stuff.
