I have been out of recreational tennis for quite a few years, but always played with Wilson racquets in the past. So in doing my research the Hyper Hammer seemed to hit on all of my needs. I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my dad. He plays tennis 2- 3 times a week pretty competitively. At first I had bought this on Amazon, 6- 7 days before Christmas but they apparently went so low on their stock that it would n't arrive until after. So I cancelled that order and purchased it in store here, the price was for$ 10 less than Amazon, and I had a$ 10 off so I was thrilled. Dad has been playing with it and has had no problems, great quality by the one of the best racket brands out there. Definitely recommend it!

I use 3in and 4in Big Hammers as my go to swimbait on 1/4th and 3/8th ounce swimbait heads. They have a great tail thump/ body wobble that it just right, not too little and not too much. The tail swims on the fall and does it's thing on the slowest of retrieves. I really like the keeled body because it helps it get down to the bottom quick, rather than round body swimbaits that might suspend in comparable situations with a ton of line out or in moving current. They are reasonably durable and they have a great color selection. They are literally the only swimbait I use on a swimbait jighead!

[ Went back and forth with Quark and Nomic several times. Now I finally decided that I like the Quark better than the Nomic on pure ice. I lead WI4. But even when I follow WI5, I also prefer the Quarks. Some minor annoyances. The new thing that allows the pinky rest to fold is nice for plunging, but sometimes on route, if you bang it against ice, it may accidentally fold, and you lose the pinky rest.... I do n't really like the index finger rest, and there's no good way to get rid of it.

[ Needed a second quark to replace a hybrid tool/axe that was n't working for me on water ice. The quark is a good all- rounder for ice and snow. Does n't plunge as well as a regular axe, does n't handle the steep stuff as well as a more aggressive tool. But I 'm not the type to get specialized gear for every situation, so this suits me fine.
