I have several different brands of tumblers that I fill with ice, water and or sometimes iced tea. Each has had some kind of issue, one brand said their tumblers were dishwasher safe but it wasn ’ t and started peeling, another has a complicated lid to open and close, but my Hydro Flask never has a problem. It ’s the one I always go to because it ’s easy to use, I love the feel of the cup and the big handle. The top snaps in so it ’s so easy to fill it up and go. I now have two of them. A 32 Oz and a 40 0z one. I just saw a really beautiful pink one, so I may need a third one. Also they come out of the dishwasher nice and clean and with no issues.

I have 3 of these and they are the only bottles I use for running. They are super light, the handle is comfortable and never causes chafing, and no slosh as you drink. Make sure you clean the whole top every couple runs by removing two little plastic bits that make the valve, I hand wash them. In a rush, fill the bottle with hot ish water and squeeze the water out, make sure you turn the bottle as you go so the hot water hits all parts of the inside of the valve. I had an argument with my dad a while ago, he insisted that the velcro closure of the handle goes at the top by the lid and the button closure goes at the bottom. I inherited these bottles from him, I tried it, and I got chafing between my thumb and index finger. Now that I see the picture on the sight I know definitively that I was right all along. Always put the button by the top:)

The only negative is there needs to be more Velcro on the strap, I must have small hands because even when it full, the strap has a gap. I can ’ t make it as tight as I ’ d like. This thing is exactly what the doctor ordered! The lockable flip top without that stupid straw thingy is weirdly hard to find anymore! Most have a screw top which impedes single handed use. Also, I love the sleek hanging handle- fantastic for a carabineer or lanyard.
