Simply set up the tent to face the direction of the wind. If you do that, then it is stable and good for several hours until the wind direction changes, it is a simple adjustment. You would just drag the sandbags and move the poles slightly to face the wind. Setup was really quick. Honestly, the kids could have dont it themselves. It provided enough shade for 4 of us and our folding wagon. I also loved how lightweight the whole thing was, so it would be easy to travel with if we flew to a destination and wanted to take it with us. So far, we have used it for 7 days, every single day, for about 8hrs per day and it is holding up well. I bought the Army green color and LOVE it!

I bought this basically the second I found out it existed. I ’ ve been looking for a portable shade option since forever, but I didn ’ t want an entire tent production and umbrellas weren ’ t cutting it anymore. I wanted something that moved with me, or the direction of the sun, quickly- no bulk, one- person setup. I knew there had to be something better than the just tents or umbrellas. In walks the Shibumi Park Vista... and it was love at first sight. I ’ m 5 ” tall and even I can set this up, by myself, in about 2 minutes. The design is so clever! You can tell that Shibumi thought through the details and practical application. It ’s very lightweight and has a small footprint when you ’ re packing. I can toss it in the back of the car, carry it to our destination, and have shade almost anywhere, without looking like a clumsy fool trying to set something up that isn ’ t worth the work. I love this hat!!! It is my favorite Sunday Afternoons and I have many others. The only negative is it runs a little small. One Size. After stetching out the elastic band by pulling on it hard repeatedly, it fits comfortably. My head measures 22 1/4 '' around. Now I love it. Good sunblock and better looking than some of the others. I bought the cream with the black band. I would buy the blue and black too but I hate the multi print on the inside of the brim. If they came in plain black on the underside like the cream, I would buy both other colors. Why the multi print? Looks old- ladyish! Please offer all colors with a plain black under side of brim!!! An addendum to my review the black hat should have either solid black trim or back and white, like black and white stripes on the band with black solid under brim for shade protection. The red multi print is aweful!!!

I used it over the July 4th weekend at Emerald Isle NC and Shackleford Banks NC. It was fairly easy for one person to put up. It ’s really a 2 person job when it ’s windy. But one person can get the job done. I got the classic( larger size) shade. It definitely covers a lot of area. 4 people, a cooler, and a golden retriever fit easily. I got a lot of kidding from my son( age 30) about the$$$ I spent on this but after seeing the simplicity and coverage he was convinced it was a great investment. Of course he estimated the dollar figure of Shibumis up and down the beach. They are very popular in NC. I love mine and do not regret my purchase one bit. I shopped around looking at the different shade options but kept coming back to the Shibumi. The newer ones are very quiet. No more “ I can hear this photo ”. Buy it… it ’s worth it. Photo shows just my setup not with the whole family. They were on the pier. But I promise we all fit. My son called my set up … The Queen ’s Castle LOL.

It was easy to set up, although it was easier with four people than two, just for trying to keep the legs going up evenly.
