I have always had a great respect and admiration for Ping as a company and its products! Started with Eye2 and the Zing back in the day. I have had many different Ping products over the years all incredible performers. However I could never get along with the drivers. They either had a look or sound that wasn ’ t appealing or they didn ’ t perform for my swing too much spin, floaty trajectory with no penetration. So for the last almost 4 decades I ’ ve played drivers from various manufacturers recently playing Cobra ’s and Callaway ’s. I ’ m 63 and a competitive golfer. However I was starting to show the effects of age. Swing speed slowing, launch lowering and on our course which is usually soft that was a bad combination. Time to do something. Enter the G430LST! I had heard so many good things about the G430Max10K and its older brother the G430LST that when the opportunity came up to get one at a good price I reluctantly took it. I wasn ’ t really expecting much but was I in for a shock. Right out of the gate the ball jumped off the face with a ferocity I hadn ’ t seen in years. The flight was piercing and landed with the perfect trajectory to maximize roll. Mishits were straight with just a minimum loss of distance and direction. What surprised me the most was the sound! It sounded like a driver instead of an out of tune glockenspiel! Normally a good drive in the past would carry about 240 averaging in the low 230 ’s. Immediately I was averaging in the mid to high 240 ’s with a good drive carrying over 250. Since then I have been working on speed with the Stack system and my good drives are mid 260 ’s. Hopefully carrying 270 by spring. All of this with more fairways hit. Ping! I ’ m back!

Thus far, I am pleased with the purchase even if I do n't have the kind of consistency I believe I will have soon. I like the ability to dial up different setting. As my swing changes, I 'll be able to adjust the bias and loft. Definitely more forgiving than my previous driver.

I recently got the Ping G440 LST driver 9* with a Ventus TR black 6X shaft. My swing speed is around 115 and I play to about a 5 handicap for reference. I had been gaming the Callaway AI Smoke TD with same shaft. I had always enjoyed Ping woods in the past but had strayed away from them in the past 3- 4 years. I am so happy I went back. The feel of this driver is great. For a “ low spin ” head, it is very forgiving. Simply as I can say it, it is easier to hit. If you ’ ve liked Ping before or are considering it now, this driver is legit. I have the 4 wood ordered also and I am looking forward to hitting it.

I bought this over the winter as my other driver cracked during a simulator session. I 've been able to use this driver a few times now outside and I think it has helped my game. It has a good fade for me, but not over into slicing territory. Do n't know how much is the driver vs my lessons but I wo n't complain as I 'm hitting more fairways than before.

Taking penalties strokes out of the tee box is a killer as I 've made improvements in the rest of my game. Not to mention the embarrassment. This club has absolutely taken the curvature out of my drive. I still tend to miss right more often than not but it stays in play. A lot of that is set up/alignment for me as I used to have to play for my slice. When I do find the center of the face, it flies as far as any non draw bias club I 've owned. On top of the performance this club sounds amazing. A muted `` thwack '' is how I would describe it. Feel is great too. You can tell where on the club your hitting it but it feels buttery soft no matter what. It's also nice to know as I improve with driver( hopefully), I can slide the weight from Draw plus to Draw. Looking forward to a full season with this bad boy.

Let me say I ’ ve love swinging a Ping. I ’ m a mid 80s player but can strike the ball well majority of the time. I ’ ve got the i230s which are fantastic! I230s are great for a miss hit as well! I recently picked up the LST 440 driver and WOW! The forgiveness and the distance I could never get with the 430 10k. For some reason the g430 was never my friend and I wanted to make it work. When I first hit the 440 LST is was butter. Smooth swing and feel. Sound is so much better from the g425, which was another reason I stayed away from a ping driver. It ’s crazy how this LST handles the miss hits. It ’s definitely a driver I should not be using but it just works perfectly! With that, I looked at upgrading my 430 3 wood and tried the 440 3 wood. I ’ ve gained another 15- 20 yards CARRY with the new fairway. Now looking to see if my 430 7 wood needs an upgrade. Unbelievable technology coming from Ping! Only thing I ’ d like to use on my ping driver/fairway is a PING adjustment tool.

I had the G400 for 4 years and last year `` upgraded '' to a Calloway Epic Max. Was not the upgrade I was hoping for so I was back this year shopping drivers. Great deal on this driver on sale for$ 279! Much more forgiving than the 10 year old TaylorMade driver I was using. It is supposed to be new and it looked brand new, but strange that it came loose in a generic blank brown box( was expecting a TaylorMade box specific to this driver) and the grip seems backwards( the logo/marker faces opposite of the club head).
