I have always had a great respect and admiration for Ping as a company and its products! Started with Eye2 and the Zing back in the day. I have had many different Ping products over the years all incredible performers. However I could never get along with the drivers. They either had a look or sound that wasn ’ t appealing or they didn ’ t perform for my swing too much spin, floaty trajectory with no penetration. So for the last almost 4 decades I ’ ve played drivers from various manufacturers recently playing Cobra ’s and Callaway ’s. I ’ m 63 and a competitive golfer. However I was starting to show the effects of age. Swing speed slowing, launch lowering and on our course which is usually soft that was a bad combination. Time to do something. Enter the G430LST! I had heard so many good things about the G430Max10K and its older brother the G430LST that when the opportunity came up to get one at a good price I reluctantly took it. I wasn ’ t really expecting much but was I in for a shock. Right out of the gate the ball jumped off the face with a ferocity I hadn ’ t seen in years. The flight was piercing and landed with the perfect trajectory to maximize roll. Mishits were straight with just a minimum loss of distance and direction. What surprised me the most was the sound! It sounded like a driver instead of an out of tune glockenspiel! Normally a good drive in the past would carry about 240 averaging in the low 230 ’s. Immediately I was averaging in the mid to high 240 ’s with a good drive carrying over 250. Since then I have been working on speed with the Stack system and my good drives are mid 260 ’s. Hopefully carrying 270 by spring. All of this with more fairways hit. Ping! I ’ m back!

My beloved practically insisted that I get this driver after trying during a lesson at GG. Thus far, I am pleased with the purchase even if I do n't have the kind of consistency I believe I will have soon. I like the ability to dial up different setting. As my swing changes, I 'll be able to adjust the bias and loft. Definitely more forgiving than my previous driver.

I was recently fitted for a driver and of all the drivers I hit, including some a few hundred dollars more expensive, this was by far the best feeling, sounding, and straightest. On the course, it just doesn ’ t miss. I ’ m a relatively inconsistent ball striker with the driver and this driver refuses to miss. Purchased this driver and it is super forgiving, solid on mishits and golf balls fly a long way! Being a smaller sized head, it looks very good at address and lines up perfect. Ping have been known to make the best drivers, and they definitely nailed it on this one!

I recently got the Ping G440 LST driver 9* with a Ventus TR black 6X shaft. My swing speed is around 115 and I play to about a 5 handicap for reference. I had been gaming the Callaway AI Smoke TD with same shaft. I had always enjoyed Ping woods in the past but had strayed away from them in the past 3- 4 years. I am so happy I went back. The feel of this driver is great. For a “ low spin ” head, it is very forgiving. Simply as I can say it, it is easier to hit. If you ’ ve liked Ping before or are considering it now, this driver is legit. I have the 4 wood ordered also and I am looking forward to hitting it.

A few months ago I purchased the ZXi 3- metal. I opted for a Tour AD DI- 6 shaft upgrade. This club has been amazing. Without hitting it first I ordered the LS driver with matching upgraded shaft. What I hoped would happen has happened. This new driver is incredible. I reversed the weights to make it a tad bit more forgiving. My spin numbers are down and carry is way up. Tried the G440 Max and I was hitting every shot right. Hit 5 shots with the SFT and all were long on the center line. Bought the 10. 5 with Chrome 2. 0 regular shaft. I 'm 65 with a recent hip replacement. This club is a game changer. Minimal dispersion even on less than perfect strikes. Very straight.

I played the G430 Max for about a year or more and switched to the G430 SFT. I found it more forgiving. I turned around and bought the 440 Max because it had a draw setting not present in the G430 Max. I returned it after a couple of weeks and exchanged it for the G 440 SFT. I have been extremely pleased. Although I play a draw and do n't slice too often, I still like to eliminate the potential. I do n't necessarily need to or want to `` work '' the ball and if I know my drives are going to go straight, slight draw or at worse weak fade, that works for me. The G 430 Max and G 440 Max definitely allowed the occasional slice.

This driver is fantastic. I have fought a fade/slice for over 55 years. Now at 72, with this driver, I do n't even have to think about going right. It's straight to a baby draw every time. I had the G400 for 4 years and last year `` upgraded '' to a Calloway Epic Max. Was not the upgrade I was hoping for so I was back this year shopping drivers. I found the G430 with the Alta black 55 on the demo rack. After hitting 5- 7 other drivers it was immediately obvious this was the right fit for me.
