[ I recently had the pleasure of using this fantastic 6- person tent on a camping trip, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! Although it ’s labeled for six people, it comfortably fits four with plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and relax, but that ’s common for tents and I expected that going in and in a survival scenario you probably could squeeze six in there. The black- out interior is really nice as it provides a perfectly dark environment for a restful night ’s sleep, even if the sun is still out as can be common during the mid- summer evenings. I thought the interior would be hotter being mostly black, but it actually wasn ’ t bad. Regardless we were camping during the summer, so we opened the air flow flaps that still have a mesh covering to keep out bugs but allow for additional cooling. What truly impressed me was the ease of setup. I was skeptical of the 60- second advertisement for setup, but I actually had the tent pitched and ready in under 60 seconds, which made settling in a breeze and left more time for enjoying our surroundings. The design is intuitive and straightforward, making it ideal for anyone new to the outdoors. I will say that it is bulky, so there would not be a way to take it on a backpacking trip, but it is great for and really shines at a campground site. It ’s in a long bulky bag, so it might be a little difficult to pack in the car with camping equipment. Overall, this tent combines comfort and convenience in one nice package.

We just had a backyard camping, and the blockout tent was great! I love that it ’s so easy to set up and my kids were able to sleep in thanks to the darkening effect. We got some rain, but didn ’ t get wet at all. We were able to fit 4 wide cots inside. I like the screen ceiling, so you can look out to the sky when you don ’ t have the rain fly on, and have light and breeze come through even with the rain fly on. All the windows zip up tight to keep rain and light out. I hope it lasts for many years of camping fun.

Used for the 4th of July holiday. It was 114 degrees out all 4 days. The tent worked out great. We were able to sleep in until around 8 am because it stays so dark but of course it got hot inside with the extreme temps. Any tent would. We are 100% satisfied with our purchase. Set up and take down is quick and easy. Goes back in the bag included easily. My husband is 5 ” 11 and can stand up all the way through the tent. Worth the$ for us.

[ This is the second tent I ’ ve owned and I love how spacious it is! My brother goes on an annual camping trip every year in July and he found this moderately easy to assemble( with help from the instructions). This is a large tent and comfortably has room for 9 people. It is weather resilient and can withstand rain. Strongly recommend to all the campers out there!

Just took this tent camping for the first time. I thought the blockout technology was going to be a gimmick... BOY WAS I WRONG. it was so dark i literally had to have a flashlight to go into my tent. really enjoyed camping in it. it was easy to setup, easy to pull down. lots of space inside. came with a center divider that was not see through. 2 doors on the `` front '' and one on the `` back ''. I 'm going to be completely honest. I went camping one time and it rained so long and so hard that my tent literally flooded inside to 2 1/2 inches of water. I really would love to be able to buy a full rainfly for this tent to make me completely satisfied. I 'm always skeptical of `` water resistant '' tents. Other than that, this tent rocks and i actually want the larger 12 person or 3 section cabin tent with blockout tech. i think my only gripe is that it does n't have a door matt with it. but that is not always a bad thing, and i understand that. PLEASE LET ME BUY A FULL RAINFLY FOR THIS!

As a frequent beach goer, I have tried many types of umbrellas/tent for sun protection such as Cool Cabana, Tommy Bahama and Shibumi. By far, Sun Ninja is the best product to date. Between the consistent sun coverage, UV protection and height of the poles, it is a no brainer purchase. The setup and takedown of the Ninja is extremely simple, as well as the compact storage provided. Even on windy days, we have not had issues with this umbrella staying put- as long as you fill the sandbags plus some. The number of complements and requests for links we have received on the beach is more than any product we have used. Hopefully, Sun Ninja comes out with additional beach products to add to our collection!

[ We are so very happy with our family ’s new tent! We are a family of four but if you are familiar with the camping world, a tent made for four is not actually super comfortable for four humans! I like to have some room between beds/bags and whatnot rather than be piled on top of one another. This tent is actually so generously sized I think, depending on individual sizes, it could possibly sleep 10+! And I LOVE it! It ’s like they were actually considering campers ’ personal affects in the design which is so refreshing. I also love the dark room technology. It is absolutely fabulous and really makes the tent feel so calming at any time of day. Not much is worse than wanting to sleep in a bit to the blazing sun in your eyes at 6 am. Cons: It did take closer to 30 minutes to assemble, and it was frustrating that it didn ’ t easily fit back into the bag after disassembly. But this seems to be the case of pretty much every tent manufacturer ever. Tentmakers, if you are listening, why oh why can ’ t you make the bag just slightly larger than the tent?! But I digress. This is a wonderful tent and I do highly recommend it.

These has thoroughly impressed me so far, we ’ ve used this tent for several years on several annual camping trips now. Our tent survived the winds of a distant tornado that passed through our town. The wind flapped so fast it melted the fabric sleeves covering the joints and exposed some melted foam. The rain fly held on with extremely minor wear, otherwise perfect condition. Little front&# x27; porch&# x27; area is convenient, as are the pockets on the front outside wall. Stayed dry inside after rain showers- put a tarp on the ground and the tent on the tarp. When we packed up we were surprised with some water between tarp and tent- tent floor inside never got wet. The original bag expands and the tent, when folded up neatly, fit back in to the bag and the bag zipped up. A con- I wish the screen windows were bigger so more air could flow into tent. Otherwise I&# x27; m completely happy with the quality of the tent.

I bought this tent long before the pandemic and have taken it car camping 2- 3 times a year since. Everyone loves how these set up so fast, including me, but putting it away is a bit more work, just FYI. I have found that sort of rolling it up and leaning on it with your body weight at the end works. I do n't think I 'll ever go back to the traditional pole tent set up. Favorite part of this tent is the mesh ceiling. If the forecast is dry, you can leave the rainfly off and look at the stars. After about a dozen times camping, during a windstorm, one of the pole connections broke and we 've had to hobble together a solution, but we 've taken it camping still at least 4- 5 more times since. P. S. It's pretty waterproof, but you really need to stake it well for the rain to go where you want it to. Also, because of the slanted walls, you do n't want your air mattress touching the sides during the rain either.

My tent was more than 5 years old and needed some added protection. I am so glad I spent the money and time to apply this product. During the second day of our trip we were caught in a full on squall. This added protection kept us dry and comfortable for the storm and remainder of our trip. Love Nikwax products!

[ I 've been using Nikwax on my leather boots for decades but was n't aware of this product until a rep from MSR suggested I use it on an old tent fly that was losing its water repellency. This stuff works amazingly. I was probably most impressed with how it restored an old rain jacket to like- new. I subsequently used it on all my wet bags, gaiters, and packs. Be careful with overspray when applying it though. There's a section on my faux wood kitchen floor that is still slippery from the stuff.
