Bought this tent a long time ago, about fourteen years. Has held up great for that time. Ten min. set up time with two people. Hooked this tent to the back of my truck that has a cap. Worked great as a second room. I use the truck as a bedroom. Sleeve zips off for a third door option if using the tent alone. The only problem was when it rained one time and a pool formed between the cap and the tent on the sleeve. If it was on the right car maybe this would n't happen. The other thing that should be done to make set up easier is to mark the center of each tent pole. This is to mark the apex of the tent to tie the roof ties to. You will see what I mean when you set up. Would I buy this tent again? Yes. And I have never put any kind of waterproofer or seam sealer on and never had a leak.

I used the tent for the first time this past weekend and thought it was great!! My wife even enjoyed camping and I was n't sure that was possible. I heard from reviews that people said that it was hard to set up, but me and my friend set it up for the first time in the dark and only took us 10 minutes, very simple. They even have a video that shows you how to set it up, I would advise watching it first if you are unsure. Others said that it wouldnt fit back in the bag that it comes with, but again, I had no problem with it at all. The only cons were the tent pegs that came with it. They had no point at the end and bent everytime you hammered them in. I went to REI and bought some titanium tent pegs and problem was solved. The only other con was that when using the zippers, they sometimes catch the overflap fabric. Not sure how to fix it yet, but not a big concern. The tent is big and very roomy. I 'm 6' 5 '' and could walk around the tent with no problem. I have a 2004 Toyota 4Runner and the fit was perfect. Great tent, cant wait to use it again!

Love the idea of attaching this tent to my SUV. My wife and I have spent many a nights stacking stuff form the back into the front seats to make room for us in the back. This tent arrived and we headed out to go camping, first stop Holter Lake Montana, fee for camping sights vehicles on pavement tents on grass, you can imagine that we could not drive stakes into the ground when half would have to go through pavement. Headed out of Holter to camp at the Bridge where the access road to Holter meets up with the river at wolf creek canyon. Pitched the tent, pole, stakes everything and lit the barbeque and settle down for the night. Then the wind came and tent blew away. Lesson learned point the vehicle into the wind if known or possible( keep in mind, Eastern Montana is some of the windiest area in the United States. Packed up and headed home in the middle of the night. Two days later headed out to Yogo Creek Montana, found a remote site and set up camp, some wind but it was steady and we pointed vehicle into the wind. Everything else went off without a hitch, beautiful clear creek, camp fire and tent did fine in the 10 to 12 mph wind gust. One small problem, the straps that attach to the tent and come over the top of the vehicle and attach under the hood. When the wind blows is raddles those straps and makes a noise like a semi using air brakes. I will be going to the dollar store and buying some cheap pool noodles, slicing them half way and attaching them over those straps to stop this in the future. Over all glad I bought the tent, roomy and pretty easy to set up and break down.

Had the Storm Break 3 years so far, and maybe a couple/few dozen uses. At half the price of the similarly featured tents from the pro competition, it's an impressive tent IMO. It's a couple pounds heavier, but that has very little effect in my application( mostly motorcycle camping). I 've had zero problems with poles, zippers, stitching, fabric, or other parts/details. I 'm relatively careful and use common sense in setup and breakdown of the tent. I use a decent ground cloth to protect the floor and avoid exposure to sharp sticks and rock etc. Also avoid over tensioning the loops and holding points when staking and setting up guylines. I 'm careful with zippers and do n't force them or zip/unzip carelessly or super fast. In my limited experience, the zippers have been excellent. The vestibule flap zippers can be a bit fussy, and I simply use a finger to `` lead '' the zipper- pull path; this prevents the overlap fabric from getting caught in the pull. I 've used it in light rain and moderately windy conditions, but not in extreme weather. It has performed and held up just fine. Having read some of the negative reviews, I do n't understand how poles can just `` break '' or bend into some strange wavy deformed condition that some have claimed- that's odd IMO, and makes me wonder if those individuals are n't revealing the entire story/truth or maybe were careless? Setup is quick and pretty simple, and is doable in the dark if you 're familiar with the process and the tent. I really like the overall design and features: roomy, vestibules, inside mesh pockets in all 4 corners, interior hanger loops, the fly- great tent in my experience!

I 've used this tent for backcountry camping, hunting, using it as my tent while working wildfire in Alberta. I 've had my dog in it with my( 110lbs). and spent probably 50 nights in it since i bought it a couple of years ago. Nothing has broken on it, its still waterproof, it packs well into my backpacking bag, it was relatively cheap. Really nothing i can complain about. Nice job North Face

Do you have fond family memories of fighting over tent assembly? Not anymore! I ’ ve put it up three times( 43F) with my son( 6) in our backyard. The first time took the longest obviously due to learning parts, reading instructions etc. 2nd& 3rd time literally took 5 minutes. The first two times I took it down before rain, but this last time I figured what the heck? Let ’s find out what this thing is made of. It ’s been rainy& extremely windy all day and she ’s dry inside and in place( and truthfully I don ’ t have all ties done). I ’ ve never enjoyed a tent more& am excited to know we can go “ real ” camping and stay high and dry even during rough weather. One note- I did also have a clip break like the person who rated this tent 1 star for that reason but didn ’ t find it to be a big deal at all to tie it another way. Half of the enjoyment of camping and being outside is relying on creativity and ingenuity. I ’ m also betting Coleman would put a clip in the mail if it did bother me. Very minor issue for this very glorious tent. Do not hesitate to buy. [ I made my bestfriend put it up when I went camping. She slept in it. I went in there in the morning it was so dark so I do have to say it does keep the light out super easy to put up for both of us of course we are fairly small women. The only issue is the fact that no Coleman tent I have owned goes back into the tent bag in came in. But yourself your own bigger tent bag.

The Reluctant Camper
We have used this tent for a couple of years now and still love it. Once we got the hang of it, set up was much easier. We place a tarp underneath to protect the floor, as well as some plastic sheeting on top of the flooring. I think this will increase the life of the flooring. We 've weathered some big storms and have remained leak proof. We are able to fit 3 cots in the main area, and two slim twin sized blow up mattresses in the bed of our van, thus we can sleep 5 fairly comfortably. This was an excellent start- up tent for new campers.

Set up& tear down are simple& intuitive and take only about 20 min. if you take your time. The tent itself is very spacious and easy to connect to the vehicle. It fits our vintage station wagon very nicely. Quality of workmanship and materials appears to be a little better than average, but not rugged. After unfolding the tent the second time we did notice some marring on one of the screens, apparently from the plastic pole sockets. Be sure to use the protective bags that go over these hard plastic pieces before folding for storage. Also while folding, I reached for a corner on the screen room& got only the tarp- like edging that borders the bottom seam& it tore away at the edge a little. Again, not really the fault of the manufacturer, just another area where you need to be carful when setting up& tearing down. To sum up, it is a great product, well designed and easy to use, but its not fool proof.

As I write, it is 2024. I have had the tent since 2016. I use it as a 1- person tent. I average about 45 days a year in this tent. It is not uncommon for me to pitch it, and leave it set- up, for 14 days at a time... this long UV- exposure use is hard on tents. I have had zero problems with the tent. Never got wet, never blown away, no repairs, zippers are still 100%. It is, of course, pretty darn snug if used by two people... but, that's the nature of 2- person backpacking tents, regardless of make/model.

My 2p Marmot Tungsten has been very reliable. It kept me dry through a few very heavy downpours in the Midwest. With doors on both sides, access remains easy whether I am by myself or have a tent mate. Perfect for myself and my hiking gear. This spring I took the greatest leap of adolescence and bought my first tent independent of my family. I knew I needed something that toed the fine line between durability and portability, as I would primarily be using it for river trips and backpacking. After an extensive and frankly obsessive research process, only the Tungsten 2p met my many demands. After some agonizing, I decided to take the leap, despite never owning a Marmot tent before. I am so glad I did! My first night in this tent, my dog and I stayed warm and dry despite the inch of snow that fell on top of us. This tent vents in a way that frankly I did n't know was possible and feels relatively spacious for being just a 2 person. I would say it can comfortably fit two average sized people and two medium sized packs. I have used it now for an entire spring and summer season in the peaks of the San Juans and various river canyons of the Southwest. Never once have I awoken to a drop of condensation nor had it rattle in obnoxious winds. Its quick and easy to set up solo and can pack down incredibly small. The wide open mesh top allows for spectacular star viewing and perhaps best if all, it's a spectacular color! I could n't recommend this tent enough if you need something light and durable or just want to make a wise investment in an introductory tent. 100/10

[ Very nice tent and very easy to set up even with one person. Purchased sometime ago a 4 person Core tent and have been very satisfied with it as well. Have not used the new 10' x 9' tent as of yet due to current winter season. Can not really see difference in material between two tents. Advertisement states a heavier tent material for the 10'x9' model, I hope so. Again the set up is extremely easy and fast even for one person. Wanted to make sure because I often take with me on a solo fishing trip in early March and just wanted to make sure there would be no hassle in setting the tent up. Lots of ventilation ports at the base in a huge area under the rain fly for ventilation including the screens in door and sides which are ideal for the 90+ degree temp we have during the summer months. Great height for this straight wall tent more than 6 feet and center. Will add further comments after first couple of use of the new tent which I am looking forward to as the spring come around. I recommend this tent. The Core company I believes will stand by their products and not disappear overnight as so many in this line of products. Their reputation appears to be very solid.

This tent is AMAZING. I was able to put the tent up by myself. The directions were clear and attached to inside the bag. The material is thicker than the normal tents. Take down went great and everything went inside the bag, with extra room no less! For the price, I am very impressed with this tent and would definitely recommend it. I would say it sleeps about 4 people if you are using cots or blow up mattresses. 6 if you are using mats.

We bought this and used it a couple of weeks ago when we went camping. It was great! It was a nice upgrade from our short two person tent. We were able to fit a two person cot in here and also stand up, have room to change, etc. It lightly rained when we were camping and it stayed dry and held up. We haven ’ t tested it out with heavy rain, so the jury ’s out on that. We can ’ t wait to go camping with this again!

Bought this a few months back. We have two children and two dogs. I decided to go big, because when we go campgrounds, I like to have a little more space to move around( I have hiking backpacks for those adventures). This tent did not disappoint. We have it set up with two twins air mattresses on one side, one king on the other, and the dogs sleep in the middle. One mistake I made was assuming all Core 12 Person Footprints are the same. Make sure you get the Straight Wall Cabin Footprint or you 'll be left with one that doesn ’ t quite fit( see picture). I just ordered the new Straight Wall Footprint and can ’ t wait to use it! Overall water resistance is good, we did get rained on one night with no leaks. Airflow is decent with all windows down. If you want to be a bit extra, we did use an EcoFlow Wave 2 portable air conditioner in the tent and it dd help lower the temp and create more airflow at night( TX gets a little warm). Unlike the other 12 Person Instant Tents, this Straight Wall Cabin can be used without staking it into the ground. I enjoy that feature as some places it ’s hard to drive a stake in. The Instant cabin will collapse without it being staked in. The Tent Kit is also a great addition. Everything you need is there and convenient. I can set it up by myself, but is better with 2 people, especially with the rain fly.

Big Tent, Great Quality- But Could Be Better… Missing A Few Things. This tent is really big inside having the straight side wall design. I have the Core 10 person 14 ’ x 10 ’ instant lighted tent to compare this against for reference. The 16 ’ x 11 ’ straight wall tent seems twice as roomy, able to push items closer to the tent sides and stand every where in it. The instant tent with the sloped side walls kind of bunches the mass towards the middle and it forces you to stand more central in the tent. But the instant tent with the built light in makes for a nice feature. Also, the 16 ’ x 11 ’ straight wall tent is missing the long mesh storage pockets that come with the 14 ’ x 10 ’ instant tent. The instant tent has mesh storage along each end of it that runs side to side and several smaller mesh pouches strategically placed around the tent. The 16 ’ x 11 ’ straight wall tent only has a small mesh storage pouch placed on opposite ends of the tent. Give me the long storage pockets and a built in light and this tent would be the best around. It ’s already great with the space it provides and the material/build quality. It was a little time consuming to assemble by myself, but very intuitive with color coded poles that “ pop ” together when unfolding for length and easy insertion into the pole loops. Take down is a breeze, quick and efficient. I ’ ve put it up twice and camped overnight once having just purchased it. Wanted to try putting in all the stuff the wife and I bring camping- air mattress, small tables, chairs, coolers, etc. No buyer ’s remorse, just can ’ t wait for cooler weather and longer camping trips. I ’ ve had the 14 ’ x 10 ’ instant tent for several week long trips and was always moving items around to get at things or find a place to sit and stand. This 16 ’ x 11 ’ tent will put an end to that. I would recommend the 16 ’ x 11 ’ straight wall tent for a family needing space and freedom to move around inside with several occupants.

Bought the storm break 2 years ago when a local shop was shutting down on sale. And even if I did n't get it on sale I would buy it again in a heart beat. I have probably about 130+ nights in this bad boy and it still runs as flawless as can be. Only thing I have had to do to it is patch some holes that showed up on the bottom on a couple trips where I forgot my foot print and setup location was less than ideal.( Hunting trips in the mountains in BC) probably my favourite thing about this tent, is as the name says, storm break is its ability to stand strong in the wind. I have had this bad boy set up in some less than ideal locations, in less than ideal conditions and when all the lines are out, and the wind is howling, the tent barely wiggles. I 've been beside some hunting partners and heard their tent collapse and the wind just sailed on over the north face storm break. Zippers still work as good as the day I purchased it, fly is still nice and water tight. However I will say, when you have the fly sinched down and are spending lots of hours in the tent it does condensate inside the fly, wich is normal for every tent I have ever used, but if you 're able to open up the vestibule doors for a couple hours during the day the screen on the tent itself lets a lot of air through to dry it all up before bed again. 10/10 love this tent.

I am a tree planter in interior BC and basically lived in the stormbreak 2 for 4 months. I Stayed completely dry the entire duration of the season, as well as having no issues with wind. By the end of the season there was a slight bend in one of the poles but it was still very functional. The fly made it very easy to store a large bag( hockey bag) outside which also never got wet.

Hope we can find the straight wall add on- it would be nice in case it ever did rain. Love the bag it came with so packing it up and storing it is easy as well.

This is another SeaToSummit outstanding product! I went from camping in heavy Kodiak Canvas to a tiny Telos TR2- Two Person Freestanding Tent. This tent is incredibly light weight and suitable for air travel. It conveniently packs up into 3 small stuff sacs that are provided. Freestanding is great, especially when you 're trying to set up on a wood platform. Most of my camping is during the summertime months or in warm climates. I brought this with me down to the USVI and the screens gave me plenty of airflow. I had zero issues with moisture. Personally, I do miss the optional zip up and down windows. I think that option would afford an individual a bit more privacy and night time warmth. As of yet, I have n't personally tent camped during a heatwave.

This is a very nice tent. Very lightweight, but seems very durable. It's a great size for two people( I suppose that technically three people can fit, but that seems a stretch). I really like how tall it is and the big doors and vestibules on each side is very handy. We have n't used the tent in any kind of rain yet.

[ This was an upgrade from our old three person. It is nearly as small and light as my Fly Creek 2 but with much more room obviously and significantly more head space. The two of us sleep easily in here with our German shepherd. I love it because it's packability and weight allow me to carry it myself as a one person if I want to. Definitely not bombproof, but rarely ultralight stuff is n't, just needs to be babied and it will last a thru- hike.

I bought it I think three summers ago. I only camp 8- 10 nights a year, so it's held up great. It's hard to find a tent that's completely open on top, save for the mesh screen. It's lovely to leave it open and look at the sky or observe the leaves/bugs during the day and hugely helpful for ventilation. It has pretty excellent bug protection and the color is just so dang pretty. If this one falls apart, I hope I can get the exact same one!

Perfect size and easy set up! Instant tents are amazing and there is no going back to pole tents for my family. The rain fly was a great quality but may be a tad difficult to put on for one person just because of height. The ONLY gripe I have is how it is next to impossible to get the tent back in the bag, but all tents have this issue. Id recommend not even trying and putting it in a different bag or wrap it in a tarp. Otherwise it is perfect!!

This is a Great product. I had no issues in setting this up. There is tension in the bars that hold up the tent but by not over forcing the extension of these bars it went up easy. I saw posts where others bent the bar but i suspect they were overly aggressive during set up By not rushing into it my tent was up quickly. As for 6 person, if small kids the ok but i am 71 and an air bed is a must. So plenty of room for myself and wife.

[ As first time campers, when my partner and I first saw how compact and light the package was, we were skeptical of whether it would be large enough. However after setting it up- which was super easy- it was as roomy as you need it to be. The hardest part was putting it back into the bag as neatly as it came. However if you are impatient like my partner and prefer to just stuff it in, it still works, which is great! It is a three person tent, but is a tiny bit cramped imo, for two people however, it ’s perfect with some spare space. As a two person tent I ’ d rate it 5. As a three person, only for size I ’ m rating it 4.

Great lightweight backpacking tent. I was able to take this on a multi day 10+ miler and did n't have any issue with the weight that it added to my pack. Like most tents, 3 person more than likely means 2 person. My buddy and I both have the Ampex lightweight sleeping pad( long/wide size) and we were able to fit just two of those pads in the tent and were still comfortable. I have yet to experience any crazy rain or anything in the tent, but with the rain cover on there seems to be a solid amount of coverage. My favorite part of the tent is the base of the tent seam is actually quite high up the tent, this is great for any water that may try to get it, youd literally have to have flooding happen before anything really comes through the tent.

I bought this tent long before the pandemic and have taken it car camping 2- 3 times a year since. Everyone loves how these set up so fast, including me, but putting it away is a bit more work, just FYI. I have found that sort of rolling it up and leaning on it with your body weight at the end works. I do n't think I 'll ever go back to the traditional pole tent set up. Favorite part of this tent is the mesh ceiling. If the forecast is dry, you can leave the rainfly off and look at the stars. After about a dozen times camping, during a windstorm, one of the pole connections broke and we 've had to hobble together a solution, but we 've taken it camping still at least 4- 5 more times since. P. S. It's pretty waterproof, but you really need to stake it well for the rain to go where you want it to. Also, because of the slanted walls, you do n't want your air mattress touching the sides during the rain either.

I used this tent for the first time in the Smokey Mountains this summer( summer '24) and a strong thunderstorm hit us for about 16 hours. There were four other people with different tents... all had water that permeated except for my Stormbreak( I guess you could say it really did Break the Storm- sorry of the pun). The tent cover provides a good amount of cover around the tent and is supported off the tent keeping water from coming through where items may be touching the wall. Additionally, the floor of the tent comes up probably 6- 8 '' which helped keep the flowing water around my tent OUT( Most of the other tents in our group got water in them from water flowing around their tent vs the rainfall itself). Two of the other guys in our group ended up buying my tent after they saw how well it held up. I would 100% recommend this tent to anyone.

I actually paired it w/ the bike packing footprint for this model on account of more ground coverage in the vestibule so my pack would n't sit on damp ground. I do n't personally find the tent to be very fragile, like others suggest, but it's also not as robust as other tents I own. Take care of it& it 'll take care of you. I own other Big Agnes gear& I 'm never let down. They also have a great repair team( had to send my Big House 4 tent in for repairs after the dogs busted out one night chasing chupacabras)

[ I have had my eye on the tent for a few years now. While it is a bit more expensive than what I have spent on tents in the past, I can honestly say that I am very happy that I decided to go ahead and get it. The lower weight and smaller pack size of the Copper Spur UL1 made a big difference in my base weight and pack volume requirements. I am trying to get down to a smaller pack size for trips more than 3 days and the tent size was one of biggest issues. I know this tent is marketed as `` HV ''( high volume), but I was honestly surprised how much roomer it feels compared to my previous 1P tent. I am 6 '' 3 '' and there is plenty of head room for me to sit up without worrying about touching the top with my head. I really like the quality of the stakes that come with the tent. This is one of the first tents that I did not immediately replace the default stakes with something better. I have n't had a chance to really, truly use the `` porch '' that you can create with your trekking poles, but I can see how that will be very useful for cooking in a light rain. It did rain slightly on the second night of my first trip out with the new tent and I had no issues, as you would expect in that scenario. I did break one segment on the pole the very first time I used the tent. It was 100% user error. I called and emailed Big Agnes, provided the required info, and they gave me the option to send it in for repair( no charge for the repair service) or to just have the part shipped to me, along with a video that explains how to perform the repair, which was quite easy. I did have to pay shipping, but that was not much.

Forget how beautiful and visable the color is against fresh white snow! This tent can handle 2. 5 ft of heavy wet snow loading, as I discovered LAST winter in the Catskill Mountains, NY. Now I have 100% complete confidence that it can handle 40- 50 mph winds, that is wind, NOT gusts, as well. For myself solo, the 3P with vestibule is my Kingdom. Sharing the tent with friend was acceptable. Not too cramped and we were able to melt snow, cook, eat, lay down, sit up, lounge, stretch, sleep, hang out, change clothing and not bump heads. Plenty of space. The vestibule, I feel is mandatory in bad weather.. Definitely with 2 people in there and if you plan on being mostly tent bound. The entry doors/bay windows are fantastic for views and ventilation, let a! one entering and exiting. My only 2 grips are small, tight toggles and latches for the doors! Very hard to do in freezing weather, bare handed.. With gloves even harder, but this is something I can probably modify myself, or not, because its not that bad, just could be better. The 2nd gripe is the storm flap on the vestibule door can snag easy if you not careful. And in bad weather sometimes you may want to close it up quickly... So be careful. But that's the vestibule and this is review of tent.. So disregard. I wish I could post pictures of it in action. I also love the blue on the inside!! Its cheery and inspiring even on the dark gloomy days.. stimulate the mind a bit!! This tent is almost the unicorn! Search it on you tube!

Have used this tent in multiple climates and terrain. It ’s the perfect size for 1 person with a good amount of gear. Will work for 2 people. Holds well up to water without vestibule. Confusing to set up at first with poles used inside of tent. Very lite weight tent for back packing. Kept warm in 20 degrees and held up in 50+ wind. I do recommend buying vestibule to use for gear storage and heavy rain.

So easy to put up! Literally took a minute. Also, really big, but lots of activity space for our family inside. Poles seem really sturdy. Could totally have a tom Haverford set up, if that was your thing. Honestly could have gotten a smaller tent, but I guess I just got greedy. Our 3 year old and dogs loved hanging out in it. Plan on taking it camping this weekend. It is a little heavy packed up, kinda obvious, but if you ’ re a smaller person, you may need a buddy to help carry it.

Our new favorite piece of equipment. Heavy, but worth it. Got it up with the rain fly in less than 5 minutes, which is priceless when you have an on- the- go toddler that hates to be contained! Love the rings throughout the tent for hanging lights. It lets in a tremendous amount of airflow, and it feels like I can use the WHOLE tent with the straight sidewalls. [ Bought for trips with two people and a dog. It was easy to set up and overall light weight. Only thing is the stakes are pretty heavy but easily swapped with lighter ones so no big deal! The mesh has such high visibility that my dog actually tried to jump through it. The tent didn ’ t budge and she sort of flopped backwards. No damage to the tent so it ’s durable too!

PROS:- Very easy to set up.- Main tent body is mostly mesh; nice for ventilation and stargazing. Rain fly provides full coverage, for a little more warmth and privacy.- Included footprint is a nice addition. CONS:- Quite heavy, but this is to be expected at the price.- The bag has no handle, and it can be a little tricky to get all the pieces stuffed back in.- The included stakes are a little flimsy. I 've already bent one of them, on our first trip out.- The stake- out loops on the rainfly do n't work very well( though I plan on tying them out with line next time, which should take care of it).

A little weird to set up at first because stake location needs to be clear of roots and rocks, and it requires all 4 corner stakes to raise it soundly but very light and can be set up quickly if there's nothing in the ground to block the stakes. [ A little over two years ago we bought this tent for car camping. When it first arrived we were impressed by how light it was. We set it up which was easy for one person and noticed how spacious this tent is! Personally I am coming from the two person dome tent land but we decided we wanted to be able to stand up to change and have a queen raised air mattress. There is so much room in this tent it ’s amazing. The fly goes to the ground so in a few severe thunderstorm we stayed dry. Wind 30 mph gusts might blow it down the back side in a headwind but if you anchor the guy lines it will withstand it. The walls are almost completely screens which could be a weakness in the design. We tent to camp into late September in northern Maine in New Hampshire and some nights get into the 30 ’s but we have heavy sleeping bags for those nights. The vestibule is so large we have played cards by sitting in two chairs and having a small table set up. Overall we are very happy with the quality and design of this tent!

And pretty darn affordable. There ’s an odd detail on the rain fly at the front vestibule. The pole sleeve creates a kind of gutter that will push water back toward the tent and seam in the fly. I have yet to test the tent in a real howler so I can ’ t say if the issue is of serious concern. Also I think the older model had clear plastic on the fly windows. This model has kind of a cheesy flap instead which is disappointing. Overall though me and the fam love the tent and look forward to many great adventures in it for years to come.

Absolutely the best single wall 4 season tent! I have yet to have any condensation on the walls even with two people, snow covered gear after a long exposed trek! I do own three other 4 season tents and this one is by far superior. I have only used this tent in an alpine environment. It handles wind so well, I sleep so much better in here without a fly flap flapping. This tent is so quite in the wind. The 3 zips on the door allow good high low ventilation. And the top vents honestly seem enough airflow in an alpine environment. Also because of the shape snow loading isn ’ t really a problem. Iv also found it keeps you quite a bit warmer then most tents as well. I would not use this tent in the summer. This is an above tree line tent for light and fast missions where you need excellent cozy protection. My only complaint is I wish they made it 2- 4 inches longer. I ’ m 6. 4 and with an inflatable pad I do touch both sides. I am most comfortable solo in this tent at a diagonal.

Eldorado Tent arrived as expected in October 2022. Still waiting on winter conditions in White Mountain area of New Hampshire, so have yet to test it in real conditions, but after setting it up in the house I can confirm it feels sturdy and warm, appears to have reasonable ventilation, and is spacious for one person. For two people, it will not fit gear- so the optional vestibule will be a must for inclement weather. The interior Todd Tex material is interesting- unlike any tent I 've ever owned. If you have ever felt the inside of the cheap `` Frog Togg '' rain jackets, that is what it feels like- except much burlier. I would be concerned about durability, but it the outer shell material feels bomber and the guyline attachment points should help to shed wind in bad weather. In short, I 'm pleased and have high expectations- and looking forward to a bomber tent to test in the alpine!

Just took this tent camping for the first time. I thought the blockout technology was going to be a gimmick... BOY WAS I WRONG. it was so dark i literally had to have a flashlight to go into my tent. really enjoyed camping in it. it was easy to setup, easy to pull down. lots of space inside. came with a center divider that was not see through. 2 doors on the `` front '' and one on the `` back ''. I 'm going to be completely honest. I went camping one time and it rained so long and so hard that my tent literally flooded inside to 2 1/2 inches of water. I really would love to be able to buy a full rainfly for this tent to make me completely satisfied. I 'm always skeptical of `` water resistant '' tents. Other than that, this tent rocks and i actually want the larger 12 person or 3 section cabin tent with blockout tech. i think my only gripe is that it does n't have a door matt with it. but that is not always a bad thing, and i understand that. We were able to sleep in until around 8 am because it stays so dark but of course it got hot inside with the extreme temps. Any tent would. We are 100% satisfied with our purchase. Had very strong winds that collapsed one side( while nobody was in it and I don ’ t have it tied down, just staked) and it popped right back up when the wind stopped. No damage. Set up was easy, although a small hiccup with the fly. I was centering the vestibule zipper and things weren ’ t wuite lining up. I went back to the photo of the tent and once I realized that the zipper aligns with the wing, it was easy peasy. The tent is plenty roomy, and just love the wings. Whichever Marmot engineer thought of that is a genius!!! I thought it might just be a gimmick, but it ’s utilitarian and thoughtful. I also love the extra large doors which make getting your gear in a breeze. All the stitching looked great. Time will tell once I get this tent out in the outdoors, but so far, Im delighted with my Limelight 3P

I received the six- person tent yesterday. My husband and I unpacked it last night and set it up in about five minutes. We did not use the guidelines but staked it. I wanted to try it out, so I slept in it overnight. During the night, the wind picked up, and the only thing I noticed is we must not have had the sides tightened up enough because the wind kept slapping the sides of the tent, which you heard much of the night. [ I recently had the pleasure of using this fantastic 6- person tent on a camping trip, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! Although it ’s labeled for six people, it comfortably fits four with plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and relax, but that ’s common for tents and I expected that going in and in a survival scenario you probably could squeeze six in there. The black- out interior is really nice as it provides a perfectly dark environment for a restful night ’s sleep, even if the sun is still out as can be common during the mid- summer evenings. I thought the interior would be hotter being mostly black, but it actually wasn ’ t bad. Regardless we were camping during the summer, so we opened the air flow flaps that still have a mesh covering to keep out bugs but allow for additional cooling. What truly impressed me was the ease of setup. I was skeptical of the 60- second advertisement for setup, but I actually had the tent pitched and ready in under 60 seconds, which made settling in a breeze and left more time for enjoying our surroundings. The design is intuitive and straightforward, making it ideal for anyone new to the outdoors. I will say that it is bulky, so there would not be a way to take it on a backpacking trip, but it is great for and really shines at a campground site. It ’s in a long bulky bag, so it might be a little difficult to pack in the car with camping equipment. Overall, this tent combines comfort and convenience in one nice package.

[ I and my wife set this thing up after it was delivered, we didn ’ t notice any issues with the seams, zippers and so on. It surprisingly has a lot of room, we are both 5 ’ 11 ”, and we could lay in it with plenty of room left over for our dogs; 60& 50 lbs both approximately. Even at our heights, we had plenty of room to sit up, move around and simulate changing clothes and so on. It looked well made and the seams looked good, I am still going to spray them just to make sure though, but even if I didn ’ t, I doubt they would leak. I love the dark green colors, I am ex- military and like to keep a low profile if I can. If the millennial ’s and the “ Z ’s ” want the bright colors and the attention, let them have it. This wouldn ’ t be a tent for the “ uber- ultra light ” through hikers, but for day hikers, I think it would be fine. It appears to be very sturdy, which I think it would be great in snow/rain/wind. I think you get a lot for the price with this one, no complaints here and am really happy I picked it up!

[ We purchased one of these back in 2015. It was for my husband, myself, and our dogs. Since then, we 've also added our daughter( 3yro now).. [ Great tent to replace my 4- 5 year- old almost perfect Halo 6p. I ’ d thought it was indestructible, but it didn ’ t stand up to a flying chair from a neighboring site during a thunderstorm. Although the Limestone has slightly less floor area, it feels larger since the walls are more vertical than the Halo ’s. I ’ m 6 ’ 3 ” and can walk around upright in more than half the tent. Both vestibules are smaller than the Halo ’s, but I ’ d never really needed/used the enormous front vestibule of the Halo. The Limestone ’s vestibule held my chair with no problem and will hold my bike with no problem on the next trip. Just did a 3- day trip in rain and 35+mph gusts and the Limestone appeared to be every bit as sturdy as the Halo. Added benefits: it ’s lighter, packs smaller, and is slightly easier to set up since it ’s got one fewer pole and the rain fly is smaller and easier to handle. Although I do appreciate the increased privacy from the non- mesh white front door, I almost wish it had see- through mesh and a zippered privacy screen like the Halo. We ’ ll see how that affects summer ventilation. For this winter trip, ventilation was great- no condensation at all on those 35 degree nights. Bottom line is that Marmot knocked it out of the park again.

We 've had our Limestone 6p for about 8 camping seasons in the PNW. I got it after constantly getting wet in our other tents and so that my tall husband could stand up comfortably and move around. It felt like$$$ at the time but it has been amazing which is why I 'm here to write this review. I love the extra dry front and back porch areas for shoes and things we want to protect. Nice large doors for coming and going, lots of pockets inside and a hook to hang a light. So quick and easy to put up. We 're always careful to store dry and clean. For the first time this year, it had one tiny drip coming through the rainfly where the seam tape was peeling up.( I 've submitted my first warranty claim so we 'll see how that process works.) Admittedly, most of our camping is in forested areas but I can see how the lightweight poles might not hold up as well in a place with high winds. 100% would buy this tent again.

I purchased our tent Christmas 2015 and started camping with it in 2016. We have camped in her 20- 48 days per year from as early as April to the beginning of November. Most of our tent ’s time was spent in the Canadian Rockies in a variety of weather. She has experienced Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories and North and South Dakota. She has kept us dry, cool, warm and cozy all these years. Both tent zippers to the front and back have been replaced. The fly has numerous patches. This year 2 sections of both poles were bent during a strong wind while trying to set her up in Grasslands National Park in Saskatchewan. Unfortunately they can not be straightened. The fly is very thin from exposure to various types of weather. I chose the Limestone tent as it ’s tall enough to stand up in, otherwise my husband wouldn ’ t have agreed to camp in a tent. It ’s also very easy to assemble, take down and store in provided bag. The main tent is still in great shape. My husband is 81 and his memory is starting to fail. He wants to continue to camp as long as he is able, therefore, having the same tent would be beneficial as with a little reminding, he can still assist in tent assembly and take down. She will last a couple of more trips this year then I ’ ll be searching for a replacement.

After doing significant research on multi person tents, I decided on a Marmot Limestone 6 person tent. That was back in 2012. We have been camping in the tent every season except two. We have taken exceptional care of this tent( never putting it away damp, keeping it away from campfires, and storing it in a suitable tent tote) and in turn, this tent has kept up warm, dry and given us many memories of mother/daughter camping. One summer we were camping in WI and were hunkered down during a severe thunderstorm. As loud as it was with the rain AND hail pounding on the rain fly, we were safe and dry in our Marmot Limestone tent. We actually had a small stream running under the tent, but not a drop inside! The gear pockets are great and it sleeps three people quite comfortably on twin air beds and our gear. The entryway are a bonus for keeping your gear dry from the night dew and there is plenty of head room for standing up and changing clothes. We did have warranty work done this year and service was fast helpful! We absolutely love our Marmot!

I bought this tent maybe 5 years ago now and it has held up through more than I ever thought it would. I 've camped recreationally a number of times but I 've also been in a couple situations where I was homeless and had to make this tent my home and I could not have asked for a better product, i lived in this tent in the cold and the hot in nice weather and storms with 50mph gusts of wind where the side wall was on my face while I was sleeping. Received our wine colored purchase 6/4/24 and set it up in the back yard. Forecast predicted showers and thunderstorms the next couple days so wanted to put it to the test. IT PASSED with flying colors IMO. Predicted thunderstorm came through the night of 6/5 in our north Alabama county. Watched the tent sway with wind gusts of, I ’ d say, 40mph. Was a bit concerned as I was watching but it held up and stayed anchored. Now, I did use Coghlans 7 ” aluminum stakes as opposed to those provided and insert on a 30- 45 degree angle as well.

[ My first Big Agnes tent and I 'm pleased with it. I took it out for a 7 mile hike two night stay and two different camp sites last weekend and was happy with it, the apprecated the pound in weight I would have gained if I went with another brand I was considering. I use it for just myself 5' 10 '' and it fits me just fine with a little room at top or bottom as well as room for pack if desired. I did stand my pack up in the vestibule second night and that fit fine with enough room to get out. I use Big Agnes ultra core sleeping pad and that fits fine. Appreciate the two stuff pockets on sides and smaller pocket on top. Zipper door operated well. I like all the different stake out points and options. I ended up using one sticks on each side to raise the upper guy lines on the fly about 2ft. This really helped with air flow. I read in a review that you may need additional stakes for this tent, I bought 6 additional and found that I needed to use 5 of them to stake every guy out. I will use this tent for many many years to come.

[ The quality and ease of this tent is amazing. The perfect pitch every time. If you 're looking to get into ultralight or switching from rocking a hammock-> this is the way to go. Tested hard on a thru hike with two of the 8 days a complete soak out, the inside of the tent stayed absolutely dry. Even when you think you picked the perfect spot, 1& 1/2 ” of rain changes things. Using the fly and BA ’s footprint, you can quickly set that up to gather yourself saving all the crap in your pack and keeping the inside tent dry to set up. Never be wet and try to sleep@ 40 degrees. The hang dry time is fantastic and packs down easy every time with the provided sacks that hold up great in your pack or very securely on your bike. [ I was stuck between the Fly Creek and the Copper Spur for bike camping and hiking uses. I went with the Copper Spur because it's just a little bigger. I 'm very happy with the tent so far, I might have sixteen nights in it to date. The ventilation is well done, the extremely light materials are strong and breathable. It fits between the drops on my bikes. The bags it comes in are super nice too. I stick the poles under my half frame bag, 20 '' top tube length of the frame, and 12 '' pole segments fit just right.
