[ We absolutely love our Coleman Dark Room Skydome camping tent! It was so easy to set up. It is very well made It comes with a carrying bag which is nice, we also like that the poles to this tent stay attached and had a little Velcro strap that keeps them all together, there is a nylon cover for the top of the the tent to prevent rain from entering. It also provides adequate room for up to 6 people to sleep comfortable It holds a big queen size air mattress easily and it stays pretty dark. I would definitely recommend it to those who are looking for space and comfort.

[ We are so very happy with our family ’s new tent! We are a family of four but if you are familiar with the camping world, a tent made for four is not actually super comfortable for four humans! I like to have some room between beds/bags and whatnot rather than be piled on top of one another. This tent is actually so generously sized I think, depending on individual sizes, it could possibly sleep 10+! And I LOVE it! It ’s like they were actually considering campers ’ personal affects in the design which is so refreshing. I also love the dark room technology. It is absolutely fabulous and really makes the tent feel so calming at any time of day. Not much is worse than wanting to sleep in a bit to the blazing sun in your eyes at 6 am. Cons: It did take closer to 30 minutes to assemble, and it was frustrating that it didn ’ t easily fit back into the bag after disassembly. But this seems to be the case of pretty much every tent manufacturer ever. Tentmakers, if you are listening, why oh why can ’ t you make the bag just slightly larger than the tent?! But I digress. This is a wonderful tent and I do highly recommend it.

We have used this tent for a couple of years now and still love it. Once we got the hang of it, set up was much easier. We place a tarp underneath to protect the floor, as well as some plastic sheeting on top of the flooring. I think this will increase the life of the flooring. We 've weathered some big storms and have remained leak proof. We are able to fit 3 cots in the main area, and two slim twin sized blow up mattresses in the bed of our van, thus we can sleep 5 fairly comfortably. This was an excellent start- up tent for new campers.

Set up& tear down are simple& intuitive and take only about 20 min. if you take your time. The tent itself is very spacious and easy to connect to the vehicle. It fits our vintage station wagon very nicely. Quality of workmanship and materials appears to be a little better than average, but not rugged. After unfolding the tent the second time we did notice some marring on one of the screens, apparently from the plastic pole sockets. Be sure to use the protective bags that go over these hard plastic pieces before folding for storage. Also while folding, I reached for a corner on the screen room& got only the tarp- like edging that borders the bottom seam& it tore away at the edge a little. Again, not really the fault of the manufacturer, just another area where you need to be carful when setting up& tearing down. To sum up, it is a great product, well designed and easy to use, but its not fool proof.

[ We go camping alot and always wake up with the sun blaring into the tent, with this we do n't have that problem. It keeps the sun out and the perfect temperature inside. I 'd been wanting this tent for a while. I also have a Tiger Wall, that I adore, but the Copper Spur material us a bit less delicate and the ability to set it up with my poles and under the rainfly really does make a difference. The pole option helps with the weight and my first trek out with it I got trapped in a torrential downpour and appreciated the ability to do the rainfly, first so the tent did n't get wet at all. I use a 2 person tent for just me as I like the extra space and so it's one of my weight compromises. You do n't need to, but I keep my pack with me( I hang food and all smelly things, but keep my pack) because I use it to prop up my legs at night as I have lower back issues. The extra size is helpful so I can move the pack around when I 'm in it without sleeping. One thing that seems silly but makes a huge difference, for me, is the color. I dislike waking up in green or blue tents because of the light. The red and yellow of the Tigerwall and Copper Spur mimic, more, the color of the sun and so I wake up feeling warmer and more refreshed.

Nice tent, cool and cozy color! It does n't get dark inside the tent when camping near other tents with lights. Though set up and packing is easy and fast. When the tent is wet it dries fast, that's nice too. Material feels breakable, but it's can handel a lot! Cords could be more visible in daytime, tripped a couple of time due to clumsiness:). Would not recommend sleeping with 2 persons( im 170cm 68kg female, another me would be too tight and no room for two- person backpaking gear to keep dry in rain. Very comfy as a 1p tent though( reason I bought it).

The 2 person variant of this tent is perfect for backpacking trips with your dog. The tent has a tapered foot box, so fitting two people in it will require some coordination with sleeping pads, I prefer to keep my pack inside the tent, and there was plenty of room for my sleep system, my dog's sleeping bag, plus my pack/gear. It even kept us dry in a surprise snow storm at elevation. I 've also woken up to a soggy rain fly during foggy alpine evenings where the day/night temps vary a lot but the interior has always stayed dry. The footprint is sold separately and is a must have( or make your own). Easy to set up and guy out, good ventilation, roomy and lots of storage.

I have owned a Copper Spur UL2 for 9 years now and used it on multiple backpacking trips each summer in the mountains of Colorado. My husband and I find it to be very easy to set up, durable, and lightweight. A couple years ago we noticed some minor wear to the tent and had it repaired by Big Agnes. We thought we might lighten our load a little and try out the Fly Creek but found it did not have high enough sides to protect us from the sudden rain and hail storms at high elevation. We are still using our original Copper Spur to this day and are very happy! I see there are some newer updates to the tent like increased storage inside and the option to convert the vestibule into an awning. I think anyone looking to enjoy the great outdoors would be well served by this tent.

[ Was looking for a car camping tent, larger and more comfortable than the backpacking tent I 've had for ages. The DogHouse would sleep 2 very comfortably, you could sleep 4 if you do n't mind being a sardine. Steep sided walls gives the tent a very spacious feel. I could erect and take down the tent solo, but did struggle a bit the first time I pitched the tent to insert the tent pole into the final grommet. Also took me a while to figure out how to get the horizontal top pole out of the snap when breaking the tent down. Overall, the tent erected pretty quickly and easily in subsequent uses after the fabric stretched out a bit. Good ventilation, beefy stakes, seems to be a strong, stable tent, certainly fine for summer camping, probably 3 season. Worst conditions I 've been in are moderate wind and rain overnight, and the tent shed water no problem. I 'm assuming the fabric has a DWR coating, and it's unclear how long the waterproofing would last. I did not buy the ridiculously expensive footprint, just used a tarp close to the correct size and that worked fine. Tent material did catch in the zipper when zipping open or close the door. I wonder if anyone has solved this though.

After researching tents for about two years( seriously! I read reviews on everything out there), I finally decided on this one and so far I could n't be happier with my purchase. I just returned from camping in this tent with two other adults for four nights. We all agreed that it's just the right size for four unrelated adults with all their gear( i. e. friends who would prefer not to sleep 6 inches from each other's faces); for the three of us, it was luxuriously spacious. I sprayed the tent and rainfly with waterproofing prior to the trip. We experienced two heavy thunderstorms and the tent did n't leak a single drop and the overhang of the rainfly even enabled us to keep the windows cracked. While it's not a bathtub- style floor, the seams are double- sewn in a way that makes leaks where the floor meets the wall nearly impossible. We appreciated the spacious gear pouches along the walls; the gear loft overhead is too high in the air to be able to easily reach to put gear up there( the center height of this tent is about 86 ''!) but the lantern hook is great. There are other thoughtful touches in the tent's design, as well, including air vents along the floor and fabric that covers the door zipper to prevent rain leaks. The significant number of windows ensured a well- ventilated tent that was bearable even when getting pummeled with midday direct sun. Set- up takes about 45 minutes; it's not hard but there are a number of steps. I think it will get a little faster as I get more familiar with the tent. I definitely would n't be able to set this tent up alone. All in all, it's comfortable, well made, and kept me dry.

These has thoroughly impressed me so far, we ’ ve used this tent for several years on several annual camping trips now. Our tent survived the winds of a distant tornado that passed through our town. The wind flapped so fast it melted the fabric sleeves covering the joints and exposed some melted foam. The rain fly held on with extremely minor wear, otherwise perfect condition. I bought this tent long before the pandemic and have taken it car camping 2- 3 times a year since. Everyone loves how these set up so fast, including me, but putting it away is a bit more work, just FYI. I have found that sort of rolling it up and leaning on it with your body weight at the end works. I do n't think I 'll ever go back to the traditional pole tent set up. Favorite part of this tent is the mesh ceiling. If the forecast is dry, you can leave the rainfly off and look at the stars. After about a dozen times camping, during a windstorm, one of the pole connections broke and we 've had to hobble together a solution, but we 've taken it camping still at least 4- 5 more times since. P. S. It's pretty waterproof, but you really need to stake it well for the rain to go where you want it to. Also, because of the slanted walls, you do n't want your air mattress touching the sides during the rain either.

We have camped for 25 years, starting with a green canvas Coleman cabin tent aka the green monster sweatbox, and stayed with their products for most of that time. Then we were given a great cabin tent with an entry way, or foyer, as my daughter- in- law called it, and it was a nice tent. The setup was a bit of a challenge, but the entry way seperate from actual living space was awesome. Then a pole broke, a few wear holes appeared and it was time to go. This new Core cabin tent is the best upgrade, as the entry way has privacy panels to allow for extra sleeping space or to be inside when it's bad weather. And the cabin space is enough for a queen size air mattress, two small tables and our gear with plenty of floor space to move around. The set up, once we did it once at home, took less than fifteen minutes from bag to finish. Looking forward to many more fun trips with this tent. Customer service is awesome as well, we ordered a screen house, although functional, had stains from shipping or production, and they have replaced it at no cost. More products from Core will be part of our gear supply!

I bought this tent for me& my wife after her saying she wanted more room. This tent is awesome, the screen served to hold all of our stuff,& the bedroom section easily held 2 queen sized mattresses with plenty og room to spare. Ventilation is excellent,& the tent set up in about 15 minutes doing it the first time( Taking time to read the instructions). One night a storm front rolled in& dropped about 2 '' of rain in 12hrs on us, a real torrential downpour. Not one drop of water inside the tent, I was actually shocked by this seeing how much& how hard it was raining. Hats off to CORE for their build quality& tent layout. Only thing I wish they made, was a fitted footprint for it as I had to use a tarp instead. But overall, I 'm very happy with this tent.

We bought this tent from your website and it is very nice so far. we set it up in the back yard once to get familiar with the tent and the setup steps. good thing we did, when we went camping the following weekend, the incoming storm looked strong. We put the tent up fast since we had done it once already, as I was setting the guy lines the hail started I only got 4 set before the hail was too large... pea sized to begin with the storm raged for well over 45 minutes, the hail grew to BASEBALL sized! we stood in the corners to help hold it down to the wind... we could see the hail pummeling the tents rain fly. After the hail finally stopped we dealt with the flash flooding. The damage to the tent was a 1- 2 inch tear in the rain fly on the right side. So is it possible to buy a replacement rain fly if needed? also one of the grey fiberglass poles does not hold tight together, its like the internal elastic cord is too long? other than that the tent is great, we love the screen room aspect and the way the windows open for venting, and our dog loves the ground level air intakes to keep cool. If you would like pictures we have pictures of the the tent up after the storm as well as the hail and the total aftermath. overall the tent is very strong, easy to set up, and good for us.

We just used our new tent last weekend. It was easy to put up and take down, had plenty of room for a queen air bed and 2 adults with all our gear. It rained both nights and the second night was a storm like I had never seen before. It rained really hard for several hours, totally filling a 4 inch pot that was sitting outside. We were dry in our tent with only a very small amount of water coming in and most of it was near the door. We were very pleased with how the tent performed and would buy again. A larger storm flap, especially over the door would be a nice addition. So for all the reviews of people complaining about the tent leaking, please be realistic, if it is raining while you are camping, water is going to get into your tent, if it leaks like a sieve that ’s a different issue, maybe you have the tent set up in a bad area, if you have maybe a 1/4 cup of water in your tent after a rain storm that dropped 4 inches of water in about 3 hours, you have a good tent. As a frequent beach goer, I have tried many types of umbrellas/tent for sun protection such as Cool Cabana, Tommy Bahama and Shibumi. By far, Sun Ninja is the best product to date. Between the consistent sun coverage, UV protection and height of the poles, it is a no brainer purchase. The setup and takedown of the Ninja is extremely simple, as well as the compact storage provided. Even on windy days, we have not had issues with this umbrella staying put- as long as you fill the sandbags plus some. The number of complements and requests for links we have received on the beach is more than any product we have used. Hopefully, Sun Ninja comes out with additional beach products to add to our collection!

I could n't love this more. When. Im camping with a partner, having a `` stuff '' tent vs a sleeping tent is awesome. Makes the nights cozy and fun and keeps the area small enough to stay the right temperature but keeps our stuff nearby. When camping with a friend, we each get our own space and have chairs set up in the middle for morning coffee. The set up is a bit comicates, as opposed to normal tents, but that's to be expected. It's not hard, just requires a bit of thought as it's different. This would be a great tent for small families enabling a kid tent and a parents tent, just know the two sides are n't huge so would n't be great for people who bring a lot of stuff they want to keep with them in the tent. My only complaint is that I wish it came with a couple color options. I like reds, yellows and oranges for the color of the morning light when I wake up, but brown is better than green so it's ok:)

Camping with a family of 4 on a rainy weekend put this to the test. We loved having our own tents, within the tent. Camping with just two adults had plenty of shelter under the vestibule. Even used this as a lunch shelter at a Girl Scouts field day, using just the fly. Worth the price tag. My only `` negative '' feedback is that I think this should be sold with the foot print and the 2 extra poles to make an awning.

Excellent tent for camping with a family. My wife and I typically camp to ride, so we have weighed whether this setup could be used for MotoCamping. For our smaller middle weight ADVs that might be a tall order. Possibly doable on something the size of a GS1300 or Pan America. For now it makes an ideal tent for car and truck camping. This was our 4 year old's and our dog's first camping trip. I truly envy their ability to sleep the whole night. My wife and I slept on one side while our child and dog slept on the other. The vestibule made for easy day to day load outs and occasional drying of clothes. Convertibility is an awesome option as you can opt to use just one tent to have a larger vestibule which could potentially be used to cover motorcycles, but realistically would be more suited for bicycles. It could potentially be mounted on a bicycle pannier if rearranged. Just pay attention to your pole placement, they are long which means they could be easily bent in a fall. I would note that despite the site photos there are no poles to hold up the door flap.

We just got back from ten days in Yellowstone, and this tent made the trip fantastic! We usually bring a six- person tent for our family, but this fit the four of us perfectly. We are four adults. Each tent is big enough for two regular sleeping pads. We fit an Exped MegaMat with a Big Agnes Boundary in one tent, with only minor overlap. The space was amazing. We were able to hang a small clothesline across one door for towels. The tent made it through a couple big rainstorms with no issues. The temps outside got into the 30s, and the tent remained fine. This is definitely a car camping tent, but it packed in much nicer than our old tent. We bought the optional footprint, which I think should just be included. It makes setup and teardown a dream. It kept everything very clean. We got a lot of compliments in the campground!

We were looking for a tent that would replace our Chimney Creek 4 mtnGLO tent. Our kids are 10 and 7 and we have a new puppy and our 4 person tent was getting a bit tight. We took the Wyoming Trail 4 out on our first camping trip of the summer to the WA coast and it worked really well. The tent sets up pretty easy once you have done it once and figure out where the poles go and which ones go on top and bottome of each other. Very intuitive color coding of clips which makes setting up the raincover very straight forward. We loved the space in the large vestibule as we set up a chair and small table inside it and were able to also have a dog bed for our puppy to sleep in at night. I think we may have even convinced some friends with kids that were with us to think about getting the same tent! I think the only issue would be the size of the footprint of the tent. It is very long and it could be a tight fit in certain campsites.

We 've used this tent a few times and really like it. This weekend we had a heavy rain for about 8 hrs and the only leak was where the electric cord came in through the port... very little water. The only thing that could be improved with this tent is putting it back in the bag... it's a bit difficult. Also note when it's packed up it's very long and may not be able to be fit in a car. We have a Ford Escape and had to put the seat down to fit it in.

We have a big crew, 4 kids ranging from 2 to 12 plus a 10 month old 70 lb puppy. It was a lot of work to set up and take down, but it was worth it! The first night it DOWNPOURED! Like really really heavy rain. Not a drop ended up inside. Tent and rainfly dried really fast the next day no problem. Tent was large enough for all of us and our gear comfortably. The divider and where it attaches was perfect for our projector screen and was a wonderful added bonus. Movies in the forest! Overall this was a fantastic purchase. Won ’ t know on durability until we ’ ve used it more. But the bottom did withstand our puppy ’s rambunctiousness( claws running around), so that ’s good!

I bought this in April to replace my last Core Equipment tent. I was looking for more room, headspace, and weatherproofing. So far it has not disappointed me. The first night and first use of this tent exceeded my expectations. We got pounded by a thunderstorm and fairly high winds. We stayed bone dry, and even with the straight walls, the tent survived fully in tact. It can be setup with one person, but it is much easier with two. It is a bit heavy, but I consider that a feature. This tent will not be used far from a vehicle, so weight is less important to me than structural integrity. The doors work great, althout the double door would be improved if I could unzip the top somehow. But, i am not sure how that would work while maintaining water impermeability.

Great tent! We used it for the first time this week for a family camping trip in the Adirondack's. We encountered a torrential downpour but all of our gear stayed dry! We comfortably fit( 1) queen cot and( 1) twin mattress on one side and( 3) twin mattresses on the other side and still had a large walkway between for a cupboard and gear. Very easy to put together as well. Downsides would be:- the main entrance and rainfly; it's very narrow, minimal and difficult to get in and out of. Enlarging or create a `` porch '' attachment option would be great.- Durable tent base wall should extend up a few more inches to create an overlap with the rainfly- Include an additional `` separating wall ''; only( 1) provided

I have mixed feelings about this tent, but after taking it on a four- day family camping trip, I ’ m ultimately very impressed with it. The tent is huge and genuinely comfortable for family camping. We had plenty of room for two adults, two young children, our gear, and fans, without feeling cramped. The straight walls make the space much more usable than the stated floor dimensions alone would suggest. Setup takes some work because of the size, but after doing a practice setup at home, I found it manageable. Before the trip, I accidentally punctured one of the outer sleeves for the roof support pole during setup. I repaired it myself with a baseball stitch and was somewhat concerned about how it would hold up. On our last night, we had a serious thunderstorm. The wind and rain were strong enough that our separate pop- up canopy collected water, bent its metal roof supports, and was completely destroyed. Campground power also went out. The CORE tent survived. Even more remarkably, a tree branch fell during the storm, struck the apex of the tent, bounced off the roof, and then punctured a small hole in the rainfly door as it fell. We were extremely fortunate that no one was hurt. After the trip, I set the tent back up and inspected the structure, poles, and repaired sleeve. Everything was still fine other than the small puncture from the branch, which I will repair. There are some negatives. This is a very large tent, so it takes up substantial campsite space and requires a large footprint. Setup is not something I would want to figure out for the first time at a campground. The pole sleeves also require some care — I caused the original damage by puncturing one with a pole during setup. The tent is also highly dependent on a properly installed rainfly for weather protection. But after what this tent went through, I trust it. It stayed dry, the structure held through severe weather, my hand- repaired pole sleeve survived, and the tent even absorbed a direct impact from a falling branch without structural failure. I bought another tent before this trip because I was unsure whether I could trust the repaired one. I ended up taking the repaired CORE tent instead, and I ’ m glad I did. The new tent is still unused. Pros: enormous usable interior, excellent straight- wall headroom, held up extremely well in heavy rain and wind, and proved much tougher than I expected. Cons: large packed and pitched footprint, setup requires practice, and the pole sleeves need careful handling during assembly. After this trip, I would absolutely use it again.

[ I recently received the Core Equipment 10- Person Instant Cabin Tent( 14x10) and I ’ ve got to say — it exceeded expectations. Setup was effortless for a tent this size. The pre- attached poles make it genuinely “ instant ” — I had it standing in under a few minutes without breaking a sweat. No confusing instructions, no wrestling with separate pieces — just unfold, extend, and you ’ re done. The space inside is impressive. It feels more like a small cabin than a tent, with enough room to move around comfortably without feeling cramped. The nearly straight walls and tall ceiling give it an open, airy feel, and you can stand up and walk around with ease. Ventilation is excellent — the large mesh windows and' ceiling' keep the air flowing, so it stays cool and comfortable even on warmer nights. I think it would hold up well during a light rainstorm — the taped seams and water- resistant fabric would keep everything dry. I ’ d still recommend giving it a quick waterproofing treatment if you ’ re heading into heavy weather, but for typical use, it holds its own. My only gripe is that it ’s a bit bulky when packed up, so you ’ ll need a decent amount of trunk space. And while it ’s technically rated for 10 people, it ’s more comfortable for 6- 8 if you want room to stretch out and store gear. If you ’ re looking for a spacious, easy- to- set- up tent that feels more like a portable cabin, this one ’s a winner. Highly recommend for family or group camping trips!

Bought this tent for a last minute camping trip. My daughter and I each wanted `` space '' in the tent. Literally received it and just took it to the campsite( never even opened the box until set up). I 've had `` insta- tents '' before, so we pretty much knew how to set it up. Everything went smoothly and the tent worked GREAT! I would definitely recommend this tent. You definitely need two people to set up. I 'm a 59 year old woman and my 28 year old daughter and I were able to set it up and take it down no problem.

[ This Tent is huge! I put a queen size mattress( 80x60) in it and still had enough room to walk around it while standing( I 'm 5'8 '' and had 2 feet on the right and 2 feet on the bottom around the mattress to walk around). If you are looking for a true 6- person tent this, is it. The zippers are really high quality just need to go slow getting in an out as they can snag on the material just like any other tent. The rain fly and tent material is really nice waterproofing, feels like 15K. Be aware that Big Agnes currently does not sell extra tent poles to put up the shelter and the tent at the same time. Also, make sure to buy the Footprint( its not included), it adds longevity to the bottom of the tent and is necessary for the shelter to set up by itself.

We purchased this for our New England adventure. Let me tell you it was a game changer. In New York in 32 degree weather we were cozy. In New Hampshire in the flood we were dry warm and out of the wind. We camped New England for 10 days and were cozy each night and it rained and was flooding for three nights. We used this tent camping at the lake with the captain comfort double pad and the double sleeping bag, and it is fantastic. You can see the stars without the mesh and easily pull back the rain fly, and leave attached. There's so much space! We love the addition of the vestibule and just ordered another one for the other side! I used the tent this weekend for the first time and it was great. It was easy to set up with two people. It is very spacious. I was by myself in the tent but it could easily fit 3 or 4 adults comfortably. The only issue is that it did rain. Not heavy but steady for around 2 hours and there was some water on the inside. Only on one side and not too much. It does have a lot of mesh and the seams do n't appear to be sealed. Overall it was a good purchase for the price.

We just received our new tent and set it up this afternoon. It practically set itself up. My wife and I easily had it set up in about 5 min, her first comment was `` Well that was easy, a lot better then the Coleman '' I 'm anxious to see how fast I can put it up next time, knowing the routine. Our biggest issue was the rain fly, but again knowing the routine it will go better next time. The lights were a definite highlight for my wife, she really liked this feature. One thing we liked with our Coleman that is n't on the Core is the D- shape swinging door. Not really a big deal. We ca n't wait to go camping!!!

I have never in my life wrote a review but I buy based on reviews and I couldn ’ t let this one go. This is a very durable tough build tent. I got caught in a very nasty storm with high winds and this tent stayed in tack and nothing broke or ripped. I had to hold the side wall so it doesn ’ t collapse on us but eventually we left everything in the tent and ran to the truck. That tent took a bitting for 5 hours in the wind/rain and didn ’ t not break. I had some water in the tent but compare to how bad the storm was the water was nothing. The stakes did pull up but didn ’ t damage the eyes, seems held up wonderful, metal poles didn ’ t brake or bend, zippers work, lights work. I thought I would had just to throw it in the trash after the storm but oh boy I was wrong. Great buy and I hope this review helps someone make the decision I did 3 year ago!

We ’ d previously had the 6 person instant cabin which was too small for us. We roll with 2 queen air mattresses and there wasn ’ t room to even stand in that one. The 9 person lighted tent gives us plenty of real estate for our 2 mattresses and luggage and even leaves some space to spare for a chair and kids to play cards on the floor. The lights are a bonus. It has rained each time we 've used it and we 've never had a single drop of water inside. dry every time. Have gone on one trip with the tent and it did fantastic. Did a run through before hand and all equipment was included and no holes, etc with the tent. Did not have any leaks during the two storms we had that lasted a few hours each. Did not have heavy winds so can not comment on wind durability. [ Took this on a two night backpacking trip in the Rockies and the extra space from the gear wings was the envy of everyone in our camp. Definitely got called the Vienna Sausage tent a lot, but if it's functional, who cares what color it is. Makes it easier to spot your camp. Got rained on plenty and this thing stayed dry-- that's probably the most important part. Set up was all color- coded so super easy. Clips in like other backpacking tents. My only gripe is the door. The fly only has a vertical zipper to access the door and the bubble of the D is on the other side. So you really have to reach around to open it and I felt like I was always battling the tent to get in( my partner did not hate this as much as I did). I 'm sure it's not the lightest tent on the market but weight was n't a huge concern on our trip and I really appreciated the extra space to keep our packs inside the tent. The ol Vienna Sausage tent will be continue to be our backpacking go- to. Its flaws can be overlooked for the convenience of extra space.

For the price, the Limelight is a solid performer. It's the style and size that the majority of outdoor folks will at some point. It also wo n't break the bank. While ultralight tents shine for the fast packers and the weight conscious, the price for weight savings is a non linear formula. In other words you 'll pay a lot more for a lot less when it comes to shaving ounces. I 've used the lImelight in all its configurations over the years. Mine has been to Mexico, the Andes, and all over the US. It's a good three season performer and works even in the odd snowstorm. It's light enough to travel well and carry( if load is shared between two people).

Pound for pound the best two person backpacking tent I have used. I have used many different brands. This tent replaces a five year old MSR Hubba Hubba. This tent has much taller and straighter side walls. I am 6 ’ 4 ” and I had plenty of leg room. My partner is a petite women and I do think it would be tight for two large men. I have only used it once am pleased with the purchase so far. I did get rid of all the stuff sacks and replaced the with the one from my Hubba Hubba. I kept the pole/light tube.

They go out into the rugged forests of Northern California, they use them at wind swept dunes, the cliff sided Pacific Ocean in the rain and in the deep forests of old growth the Redwoods. They camp for 8 days in a row, come home for a few days then go back out again. They also respond to emergencies like wild fires, floods and even pandemics. [ I recently had the pleasure of using this fantastic 6- person tent on a camping trip, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! Although it ’s labeled for six people, it comfortably fits four with plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and relax, but that ’s common for tents and I expected that going in and in a survival scenario you probably could squeeze six in there. The black- out interior is really nice as it provides a perfectly dark environment for a restful night ’s sleep, even if the sun is still out as can be common during the mid- summer evenings. I thought the interior would be hotter being mostly black, but it actually wasn ’ t bad. Regardless we were camping during the summer, so we opened the air flow flaps that still have a mesh covering to keep out bugs but allow for additional cooling. What truly impressed me was the ease of setup. I was skeptical of the 60- second advertisement for setup, but I actually had the tent pitched and ready in under 60 seconds, which made settling in a breeze and left more time for enjoying our surroundings. The design is intuitive and straightforward, making it ideal for anyone new to the outdoors. I will say that it is bulky, so there would not be a way to take it on a backpacking trip, but it is great for and really shines at a campground site. It ’s in a long bulky bag, so it might be a little difficult to pack in the car with camping equipment. Overall, this tent combines comfort and convenience in one nice package.

Have you ever had a piece of gear that just makes you smile when it reminds you of the great memories you 've had with it? That is what the Chogori does for me. It has been great for solo overnight ski tours, and comfortable for two when doing a weekend outing with my wife. Setup could n't be easier. The tent is spacious enough for 2- although the 2p tent maybe lacks a little bit of head room, but I 'm not complaining. The structure of the tent is solid. I 've had this up in pretty high winds and it was confidence inspiring for me. Needed a Good Tent
I got this tent for a winter kayaking trip through the Grand Canyon, and it just happened to be a year of atmospheric rivers. I had tons of days and nights of rain storms, wind storms, and even snow. This tent was just awesome. It's easy to set up and really feels high quality. It held up to all the elements and kept me dry and warm. Lots of space and lots of convenience features, like pockets, door flap ties, and stuff like that. I only had a condensation issue on one night out of 26, when the temperature change from early evening to morning was really crazy. I was a bit wary of spending so much money for a tent, but it was worth it.

Brought the Chogori 4p for two people on an 18- day human- powered ski expedition on the Southern Patagonian Icefield. Interior: We were hauling 100lb+ pulks, so the extra weight of the 4p( no longer available online) was well worth the weight for the space. We originally planned to have a third team member, but he could n't make it because of an injury. As it were, the 4p version was perfect for an expedition with two people where space= sanity. We had plenty of room for stretching out, prepping food, and drying gear during endless storm days. And thank god for all the pockets and a large vestibule that was perfect for cooking, melting snow into water, and putting on/ taking off boots. Exterior: The only way to describe the weather we encountered for the vast majority of our 18 days was, well... Patagonian. We received 100+ km/h winds daily and more than two meters of snowfall during the expedition, and the Chogori performed as admirably as could be possible in such conditions. `` Bend do n't break '' became our rallying call for the tent as any structure will sag and contort when subjected to such conditions, yet the Chogori held strong through it all. A few poles bent slightly from constant pressure( the infamous Patagonian W and NW wind+ windswept snow that accumulated> 50cms every night for days on end), but they never felt close to snapping.( For comparison, I saw a Samaya tent pole snap in half and tear the tent in far lighter conditions earlier this season.) We literally entrusted our lives to the durability of the Chogori, and I could n't be more stoked with its performance. If adverse alpine conditions are likely and space is necessary, this is the tent for you.

I really appreciate the incremental design improvements over the previous version, that make a real difference, especially with rain resistance: 1. Longer rain fly, now reaching close to the ground 2. Staking loops and stakes for all 3 rain fly midpoints, so you can maintain separation between the rain fly and the tent 3. Velcro rainfly vent 4. Two tentpole grommets at each corner, so you can use the far one for raising the tent, and tighten the tent up with the close one later. 5. Two interior mesh pockets instead of one 6. Tapered closed tentpole ends, so that they slide through more easily, and do n't clog up with dirt 7. Expandable bag, which makes the tent easier to pack up quickly The only issues with the tent are inherent in the design and materials, but still pretty good for this price and weight: 1. No full rainfly over the front door, so you may want to put a tarp over the front if you expect heavy rain 2. Rainfly does not go all the way to the ground, but it should still give very good rain resistance if you stake it out well 3. The tentpoles slide through instead of clipping to the tent, which makes it a little more tedious to set up, but not a big deal after you 've done it a few times. 4. The fiberglass tentpole may break after a few years, at the stress point where the fiberglass meets the metal segment end, but if that happens, you can easily fix it with some duct tape.

We just had a backyard camping, and the blockout tent was great! I love that it ’s so easy to set up and my kids were able to sleep in thanks to the darkening effect. We got some rain, but didn ’ t get wet at all. We were able to fit 4 wide cots inside. I like the screen ceiling, so you can look out to the sky when you don ’ t have the rain fly on, and have light and breeze come through even with the rain fly on. All the windows zip up tight to keep rain and light out. I hope it lasts for many years of camping fun.

Used for the 4th of July holiday. It was 114 degrees out all 4 days. The tent worked out great. We were able to sleep in until around 8 am because it stays so dark but of course it got hot inside with the extreme temps. Any tent would. We are 100% satisfied with our purchase. Set up and take down is quick and easy. Goes back in the bag included easily. My husband is 5 ” 11 and can stand up all the way through the tent. Worth the$ for us.

Just took this tent camping for the first time. I thought the blockout technology was going to be a gimmick... BOY WAS I WRONG. it was so dark i literally had to have a flashlight to go into my tent. really enjoyed camping in it. it was easy to setup, easy to pull down. lots of space inside. came with a center divider that was not see through. 2 doors on the `` front '' and one on the `` back ''. I 'm going to be completely honest. I went camping one time and it rained so long and so hard that my tent literally flooded inside to 2 1/2 inches of water. I really would love to be able to buy a full rainfly for this tent to make me completely satisfied. I 'm always skeptical of `` water resistant '' tents. Other than that, this tent rocks and i actually want the larger 12 person or 3 section cabin tent with blockout tech. i think my only gripe is that it does n't have a door matt with it. but that is not always a bad thing, and i understand that. We prefer some extra space, so got this spacious 3- person tent for just two people. It's still very light weight with a quick setup and easy breakdown. You can leave the cover off for breathability in warmer weather or to just be able to look up at the stars. And the cover is lightweight and waterproof for rain or that early morning dew. We have a lot of accessories, so I appreciate all the storage pockets. The big doors on either side are also convenient so we do n't have to crawl over each other to get in and out. And even though everything is very lightweight it still feels sturdy. Overall a really solid tent.

I used this tent on a 4 night canoe trip in the Boundary Waters and had an amazing experience! It rained the first 2 days of the trip and this tent kept everything really dry while still being well ventilated. I loved that it came with a footprint that is super lightweight, this kept the bottom of the tent mud free in the rain and it cleaned up great when it was dry- I even used this footprint as a picnic blanket for lunch breaks between campsites which was an added bonus! 2 people in the 3P tent was ideal to have some extra room to move around, and I love that is has 2 doors with kick outs/vestibules on the rainfly to store items outside the tent while still being covered! My favorite bonus feature on the tent is the guyline bag that has a light diffuser for headlamps, so you pop your light into the bag and hang it on one of the many loops on the top of the tent for a perfect diffused light! The `` stargazer '' mode with the rainfly off was also amazing for stargazing without getting eaten alive by bugs! This is the best backing tent I have used( and a great price!) and I cant wait to take it with me on future trips!

I took this tent on a three- night backpacking trip to Colorado and I highly recommend it. My buddy and I were very tired after reaching our campsite and we were able to get the tent set up in under 10 minutes. The tent includes several unique features to make this process as quick as possible, including color- coded corners on the tent and footprint, a cool idea that I had never seen before. The tent also has a few other neat and useful features worth mentioning including two doors, large vestibules, and numerous interior organizational spaces and tools, such as pockets along the walls and a clever integration method that allows you to hang the removable top of an Ampex pack inside for easy access. Once we got it up, it performed very well. Our campsite had a significant amount of flies and wasps, but the tent ’s fabric kept all the bugs out for our entire trip. It also rained one night and the rain fly kept us( as well as my boots and pack in the vestibule) entirely dry. Additionally, our campsite overlooked a valley and we experienced some wind gusts during the trip. The tent never felt unstable and handled the wind well. In fact, I carried the tent in and I was surprised by how strong the tent was when considering how light it weighed. Finally, the temperature of the tent stayed well moderated because the tent has several vents. I would guess the temperature got down to the 30s or 40s at night and I was never too cold or too warm. Overall, I highly recommend this tent. I ’ ve camped in numerous tents over the years and the Ampex 3- person is by far my favorite. I look forward to using it on my next trip.

I have been looking for a new camping tent forever. Being a bit of a penny pincher I had been burning through one cheap tent after another. I recently got the Limestone for an weekend camping trip and I love. It was rainy and windy all weekend but my tent stayed bone dry. More than that, I could actually stand in this tent and the walls being so vertical I could actually fit my wife and two kids in it without us rolling over each other all night. [ Had the chance to spend 5 nights in the 4P Limelight in Voyagers National Park recently. This tent replaced an old 3P Eureka I had for many years. The ease of set up for this tent given the size was amazing! Was super easy to setup with one person and could only imagine how quick it would go up with two! Really love the space inside this tent. The pre- bent poles offered a lot of space inside and the addition of the clothes line was great for drying out a few shirts that i left out overnight( dewy). The part I like most are the two doors- the larger door made it easy to bring all my gear in, no tripping over people, bags, etc to get in or out and the vestibule had the perfect amount of space to keep all our shoes dry too! Love this tent!

[ The tent is really well designed and made. I used it for the first time, all is as described. It's lightweight, easy for me to put up alone, including the rainfly. The zippers seem really strong, no extra flaps to get caught. Seams are strong, along with the clothesline and pockets. It's well ventilated but yet I was very warm and dry- 50- 60 degree nights The space between the rainfly and the door is a bit small for me. Took some bending over to get in and out as you unzip the fly, then unzip the tent, and if you 're carrying something, it's harder. A little bit of coordination and all worked. There is n't privacy if you leave the rainfly flap up as the tent is all screen. I used it as a leader tent for a scout trip so privacy is a must. I think that it actually will keep everything very dry and not a deal breaker for me. Overall, excellent tent.

Have had this tent for a few months now and have taken it on a handful of backpacking trips. Have n't experienced more extreme weather in it quite yet, but I 'm really pleased with how it's help up so far. I think it's the perfect combo of lightweight, easy to set up, not terribly cramped with two people, good ventilation, and packability. For reference, The two tents I 've used multiple times before are the Copper Spur UL2 and the REI Flash Air 2. The Tiger Wall UL2 beats out both of those when trying to optimize well for weight+ comfort. I also love the Fast Fly Shelter feature. I 've recently set it up a few times at the beach for shelter and shade, but am unsure if the fly fabric protects against UV rays. Would be grateful if y'all could advise me on this. Thanks!

I absolutely love this tent. It meets my comfort needs while being ultralight. The side entries are what sold it for me. I have never enjoyed contorting my way into front single entry tents. I find the double vestibules and doors to be so much more functional and comfortable. My partner and I sleep very comfortably in this tent. I 'm 6' 220lbs and she's 5' 10 '' and 130lbs. We 're not super small folks, especially me lol, and we find it very comfortable.

This tent is what I wanted in a backpacking specific tent. Lightweight, compact, easy to use, and provides enough protection to keep moving the next day. I 've used this tent in many different weather conditions, it's great in warm weather, and kept me going when recently struck by a snowstorm at 11, 000 feet in Colorado( image attached). I do have trouble with the door and fly keepers. They loop and tab fly keeper system feels to be attached too low on the fly body, so that the vestibule door tents to unroll and flop down. Overall this is a great tent that will serve me well in years to come.

Nice backpacking tent. Withstood heavy wind gusts like a champ. If I could change a thing about this tent, then I would prefer that there would be only one zipper around the screen door. The way this is designed currently requires two hands always, which is n't practical. Otherwise, good storage options inside and super light!

Just got my new Tiger Wall and have already used it twice. Did a mountain ridge hike and followed it up with a beach camp out. So far I love the tent- it's super light and compacts well in my compress bag. Really easy to clean and love the double doors for my girlfriend and I.
