Huge fan of this! It's a go to for slightly warmer to hotter temperatures. It's comfortable and feels far more breathable and quality than alternative sun hoodies on the market( REI Sahara sun hoody) Also, the protection I get with it from the sun is amazing. The hood is more oversized so it's easy to wear over a helmet or to sorta pull to the side to provide extra protection from the sun-- even when you 're just driving and there's bright sun coming from the side window. I own two and am dreaming of a third!

I took this shirt with me for walking the Camino in the early fall( ~35C on the coast with no shade). I 'm very sensitive to heat( due to both MS and some of my medication), but after soaking this shirt in water, the combination of the quick evaporation and the UV protection was enough to keep me comfortable even at noon. It was great to be able to skip out on sunblock and still not end the day looking like a tomato. Like other reviewers said, it's a little rougher that ideal, but I do have to say, it held up to backpack friction much better than the Abisko wool shirt I took on the same trip and I did* not* get any irritation despite walking all day with a 10- 20kg bag for the first time. Dries very very quickly, which is great when conditions are damp.

I have two minor complaints: 1. is that it's quite expensive for how simple it is. 2. The t- shirt version fit differently than this version, it was quite tight around the chest, I was expecting the same fit. The t- shirt version is great for working out in the gym on a hot day where they still insist you wear a shirt.

My only small giggle is I wish there was some way to secure the hood. In my size it's a bit over large and I find it sliding off my head backwards quite often.
