I had a pair of Carhartt boots prior to these and the carhartts only lasted 6 months. I 've had these Timberland Pro's for almost 3 years now. They break in fast, comfortable to walk in all day. They 're really warm in the winter, not too hot in the summer. Very good water proofing. Slip resistant is very good for oils, hydraulic fluid, fuel, aircraft de- ice fluid. There are only 2 complaints I have; the oem laces are complete trash and so are the oem insoles. The soles lasted me only 8 months and laces tore in like 6 months. Buy better insoles and Kevlar laces. I 've dropped parts& tools on my foot and did n't feel a thing. These are also really good boots for welding and using cutting torches. 10/10 must have boot for mechanics. UPDATE 7/20/24: the boots are STILL GOOD AFTER 4 YEARS of daily abuse in all climates and conditions. These are the only work boots I will buy the rest of my life. UPDATE 11/23/24: The boots lost their waterproofing. Ordered a new pair. I will forever only buy these Timberland Boondock boots!!

Boots are very comfortable. Little to no break in time. They have a great arch support for when your standing for long hours. I have had them for a couple have held up through rain, mud, dust, dirt, snow. They are water proof. My feet we ’ re slightly damp standing in torrential down pours for my job but after what I was in I doubt any boot is that waterproof…. They are starting to wear out though. I mean I do put them through rough stuff but I don ’ t expect these to last 6 months in the toughest of conditions.

Second pair of these boots. Wish they came in half sizes. We put an insert in them and they fit better though. Freest boot that fits snug to the calf without cutting off circulation. I have fairly narrow feet and these fit perfectly and are very comfortable. You ca n't even tell they have a steel toe. My only complaint is the top lace grommet. It has a different type of hook so it is a little difficult to get the lace in it when it is pulled out. I still rate this as Excellent though.

I weigh any where from 155- 165 at any given point. I am fire sprinkler fitter and have loved every bit of these boots. Downside with my trade is often times being in standing water and you get what you get from them not being water proof, that ’s okay. My girlfriend tries to get me to wear a different brand, nah….. Ashby's for life lol I can still wear the ones I have now but the bottoms are to slick for me, has holes all in the leather and I ’ ve tied together the shoelaces to many times. I bought these boots about 4 months ago as a dress/casual boots as I was wearing Irish Setter Ashby 83908( a Union IW wearing safety toes, 100% BS right?). Well I was moved to another crew and was walking Iron and need a pair of lace ups. These boots have exceeded all expectations. The have been subjected to climbing columns, welding, cutting torches, and grinders( cut off wheels, tiger paws, and grinding rocks.) I wear these boots everyday for 18 hours+ from 4: 30 A. M. to about 10: 30 P. M. when I finally get to bed. I have walked 5+ miles a day( sometimes up to 15 miles a day) in them and the just keep going. My only gripe is Irish Setter does n't make an 8 '' version of this boot! I will be upgrading to Redwing 411/2418 in the next few weeks, but I will still wear these a a pair of 2nds. I will ALWAYS and FOREVER SONG THE PRAISES OF IRISH SETTER as the BEST entry level work boot! Oh lastly, I love Irish Setter boots so that I actually got married in a pair of them. I bought these boots last year for work. A couple of months ago I was at a customers house and stepped on a live wire for an old well pump. The wire was cut and sticking out of the ground an inch. I have had a pair of these Wingshooter ST for 1. 5 years working in a wet and dusty granite shop 9 hrs a day. I keep track of my miles and I have just over 1000 miles on these boots so far in extremely harsh conditions. I have had these boots for 5 years. Humping through the snowy mountains of Vermont on the job. Taking them off and on tens of thousands of times in customers homes. They have gone under many houses, crawlspaces, and under porches. In knee walls and trenches. Put away so wet that my socks were soaked the next morning( step in knee high snow and any boot is gon na get wet). I 've only had to change the laces on one boot. All I ask is that my boots hold up to the abuse I put them through. I wore them untied during the summer even, and the backside of the inner heel has just started to wear through. Only on one side again! They are waterproof, durable, comfortable and dang if they do n't look good. I have n't even looked to buy a new boot since I got these and thank goodness I had n't rubbed off the tag yet. I hope they 're just as good 5 years later. These are very comfortable boots.. They fit and feel like sneakers but have great ankle support. I do busway work for power plants, which requires a lot of climbing and crawling and these boots have held up very well over the past three jobs( total of almost six 70- ish hour work weeks) so far with no signs of degradation. They are lightly insulated for the waterproofing, so I think they could get a little warm for the hot and humid months.

These boots are ok, just not what I thought they were. The leather in the pic seems to be the softer suede type material, but they are actually the slick type of leather that is very stiff. They do not have the broke- in feeling right out of the box. Because they are stiff it's not that easy to lace them up tightly. The sole seems very comfortable, but I do n't think I 'll keep them.

boots are comfortable. This is my 2nd pair of Georgia 6 in. Boots. Previous pair came with 57 in. Laces, which didn ’ t allow me to lace to the top of boot. Had too replace with a 60 ” lace. Which works better “ could ’ ve used a few more inches to be right. My newest pair came with even shorter laces. 55 in.. which is obviously worse. This is not a good place to scrimp on qaulity for such a good boot.
