Great product... its my third Simms wading staff. One bent after falling on it crossing a river in Montana and another snapped in two after a bad fall negotiating high spring water in Colorado. I would NEVER BE ON A STREAM WITHOUT THIS PRODUCT. It has saved me too many times to count. Over the last 60 years years I used a lot of different wading staffs and this is the best. One thing I do n't care for is the way they have integrated the holster and the retractable leash. I would much rather have two separate components- I never bother using the holster. I sling it over my right shoulder when not in use.

I love G3 Guide Wading Boots, I 've bought two pair. One pair is rubber bottomed, I use them in the winter and in the summer when I am hiking into distant waters. The second pair is the Felt Sole. We have many streams and rivers in my area that are VERY slippery or have bowling ball sized rocks. The Felt Sole works like a magnet making wading much safer. As an older angler, the felt bottom works like magic. Not sure what the T tab on the back is for, I 'd prefer the old- style loop when pulling on my boots.

Not a problem at all – I put my flyweights on brand new with a pair of neoprene socks and was perfectly comfortable from the get- go, hiking miles through rocky riverbeds, crossing rivers all day long, wet- wading in total comfort. A fantastic product.

I bought these for wet wading. With most wading boots, I really struggle to find something that ’s comfortable for the kinds of miles I hike to a fishing spot, then the duration of my fishing, too. Others either don ’ t offer any support, are too clunky, or too heavy. These have finally solved all my problems!!!! They fit so well and feel like a good pair of hiking boots. I do a lot of fishing and these boots are great. I usually wear a size 12 but since I would be using these with waders I went up a size to a size 13 and they are perfect. The different treads on the bottom are a little hard to change but that ’s not something you do often anyway.

The studs were exactly what I needed for my new Flyweight boots. Easy to install with a simple 1/4 inch nut driver. You might consider including an installation template in the package, but that's just a very minor quibble. I simply copied the pattern on the sole of my G3 boots.
