Took this out on a 5- day rafting trip on the Owyhee River in Oregon. Everything stayed dry! Bomber construction, great texture on the material and more flexible than other, more plasticy- type dry bags. The extra lash- points and durable bottom fabric are great features as well.

[ I ’ ve been using the big river bag for my motorcycle touring now for 5 years and they hold up to the weather and the rough use I put these through. Now with this updated bag with the additional loops on its sides. This is a PERFECT bag with much more possibilities to attach anywhere on the motorcycle. Very happy with the bag and is my go to bag for packing. I have the 3/8/13/20/35 and the 65 liter river bags. YES, they are that good! Use these for motorcycle tours and kayaking.

5 Brian L.
[ These are incredibly useful for overlanding. I can keep them in the rig or if I need extra space, throw them on the roof.

I ’ ve used several of sea to summits lightweight dry bags in the past. The lightweight bags are great for application where abrasion is minimized but a susceptible to getting small holes in rough environment or after heavy use. The big river bag is the perfect heavier duty compliment to the lightweight dry bag for applications like kayaking, bikepacking and other adventures where you need to keep items out of the elements but where abrasion can ’ t be entirely avoided. I ’ ve used the 13L size in a few of my whitewater kayaks including my half slice and it a great size to slide behind the seat. Never had a drop of water get in. I like the 13L size, it could easily fit a sleeping bag and a light layer in it. Have yet to get it out on a bike packing mission but expect the lash points will be nice to have. The picante red color is awesome. Looking forward to taking it on more adventures.

5 Rick T.
The Big River dry bag as the perfect bag for sea kayaking adventures. With rocky shores on the Maine coast I do n't have to worry about punctures and abrasions. With the added tie loops I can even attach the bag to the outside of my kayak if needed. It's a great addition to my storage solutions.

Great 'little' bag. The 8l actually does n't fill a spot in my kit, but these are great waterproof bags. I really like the muted gray color and the white inside to make it easier to see items inside. Good size for spare clothes on a summer trip. Light and durable!

5 Matt
This bag is perfect for backpacking and hiking. This bag kept down clothing perfectly dry on a week long trek where it rained nonstop. The tab on the bottom of the bag is really helpful for hanging the bag off of my backpack. I highly recommend this bag.

5 Michelle S.
I have used the 8 liter bag for both backpacking and front country travel, it's great for both! I think the thickness of this bag is the perfect intersection of durable and light- good for a food bag while camping or a dirty laundry bag while traveling. I have never had a S2S buckle break on me, but it's cool that it comes with a field replaceable buckle. I 'm not totally sure what the benefit of the hang tab on the bottom of the bag is for, but I 'm sure there is a reason for it.

5 Alex C.
I use these lightweight dry bags on many caving expeditions. They are fantastic in that they hold up well and weigh almost nothing. The addition of the field repairable buckles has also really secured these as some of the best dry bags on the market. I would still prefer the seal design to be changed into more of an envelope style to ensure an even greater seal at the top but beyond that I really recommend these as long as you can put them in the secondary containment like a backpack.

I took this bag out on a 15 mile trek with new people to hiking. I showed them the importance of a good quality dry bag, as it started to rain! They watched me stuff the next days breakfast along with some personal items in the Evac bag. Worked well keeping the items inside dry. We had no issues. A couple asked me where to go to get one and I said Sea to Summit.

This is a great product for just about any sport that involves any sort of water. This spends most of the winter on my snowmobile keeping backup layers dry, and has held up really well. These ca n't get wet extra layers are essential in the backcountry, but I never have to worry about that with this bag. In the summer this transitions onto my bike and can take the wear and tear of being strapped on externally. I had an older version of these bags, but the new one is easier to use and more streamlined. The compression feature is well worth the( minimal) additional weight as it takes up way less space and gives you more options to strap the bags onto other things.

5 Scott M.
13L is the perfect size for my 20 degree down sleeping bag. It ’s critical to keep down dry and having the compression straps turn a full size down bag into the size of a small basketball which frees up lots of space in my backpack for other items. I have an older version of this bag that still works well but the new quick release buckles on this model make it easier to use. Note that you do need to be patient for the eVent to work. It ’s a dry bag so water can ’ t get in but air can escape with compression out of the eVent fabric. Pro tip: roll the top closed once and add pressure to get out a lot of the air, then add two more rolls and clip closed. Pull the bottom over the top and using constant pressure keep cinching the straps alternating sides for and even compression. Another quality piece of gear by Sea to Summit. Two thumbs up.

5 Mark M.
I 've been using compression dry bags for roughly 20 years and sea to summit has one of the best products available. Their dry bags are durable, effective, and reliable. If moisture is a factor, I will always bring this dry bag.

I have been using the EVX 13 L dry bag when paddling, climbing, camping and bikepacking. This bag is amazing! It is light, tough and above all keeps the weather out. I took this out on a multi- day bikepacking trip which turned into a multi- day snow and rain event. I stored my down jacket and other `` need to stay dry so you do n't cry '' items in it( down jacket/pants). Everything stayed perfectly dry. The compression straps allow me to get my gear into small areas in my bike bags without compromising the integrity of my gear. The compression straps worked super smooth, no twisting or locking up. I travel to remote locations, most of the time solo( unless guiding). I need to know that I can count on my gear to keep me in the backcountry as long as I want and not have to leave due to equipment failure or poor design. The EVAC bag is amazing. I am going to purchase more and I highly recommend it to anyone that spends time exploring, or traveling in areas you know the weather will test and punish the your gear.

Not sure why all of the neg reviews on cleaning and use but this thing is very easy to dry out and works perfectly at 80 mph on a Harley you have to be smarter than the reservoir Yes hose when it's hot out gets very pliable but what product would n't just have to be smarter than the hose To clean 2 paper towels empty out the water then wipe out u can get around the hose attachment area and then once again for a almost complete dried out reservoir I then took a spaghetti spoon and stuck it inside to keep the reservoir open woke up the next morning and it was dried out Other than that most of you are on two feet I was on my Harley 10 states mostly 80 mph and it was flawless I truly do n't see myself needing to purchase a new one ever

I bought this as a replacement for a 10- 15 year old reservoir. This one seems like better quality than my old one and I love the removable drinking tube. Makes filling and dumping out excess so much easier. I do n't notice a huge difference with the big bite valve and whether there is `` 20% more '' water with each drink. I was a little worried that the shape looks different but still fits in my hydropak perfectly. The cap is also easier to remove than on my old one.

I have been using this bag for weeks and it still looks as good as new. This was used as a replacement for a food sack and sees use multiple times a day.

I 've been looking for good BPA free water containers and Aqua- Tainer is a good choice. The container comes with a spout for easy pore. I bought a few of these for just- in- case power loss. It's better to be prepared and not need it, than not prepared and need it.

5 Smitty
Bought it for hurricane/storm prep and it is pretty stout... much better than the collapsible ones we used to own. The plastic seams on th ehandle are rough but a few minutes scraping and sanding took care of that issue. May rarely need it but ca n't see any future problems with this product.

I love it. The strap is nice and long. Unadjusted it fell to my knees and I ’ m 5 ’ 5. Kept my water cool all day and was easy to clean. Totally spill proof. Realize, this is not double- walled so it will not keep your ice for hours and hours — but that ’s actually a pro for me considering I used to lug around a 64oz bottle that, when full of ice, sounded like I was carrying marbles around all day. That it was loud was an understatement. This is not. It ’s slim so it doesn ’ t get knocked around when worn. Took it to walk the dog and to work and found it really convenient to carry my water and still be hands free to hold the harness and carry stuff in and out of my building. If you ’ re a person who enjoys being hands- free AND doesn ’ t care about having icy cold water all day, this is the one for you. Me? I predict I ’ ll be carrying this on my adventures this summer just because of how easy this is.

5 LaurenH
My first Canteen and I love it! The strap is adjustable to fit me or my kids, and the lid is easy to open. This will be great for trips to the Beach, Camping, Hiking, pretty much anything!

5 HappyStanley
Love this cream colored canteen ❤️. Just the perfect size and light- weight.

5 spacesloth
Love this product and I am rating 5 stars in comparison to other canteens I have owned in the past. Previously, I have never owned a double walled canteen nor one that was specifically good at keeping water cold. I find, if I put cold water in this it is still cold hours later. As for the metal clinking noise, I 'll say we got a green on and a metal one and the metal one is noticeably louder than the green which has a paint coating on the body. So, if you want to minimize the noise do not get the all metal one. I love the top, yes it can be tricky to open but not for more than a few days then you will find the top does really well at keeping liquid in while also providing a finger hold to carry it around that is super sturdy. We also like the straps and I like that they can be easily wrapped around the body and loosely tied off if you want to carry it for a bit by hand without the strap dangling everywhere. All in all, while it is not perfect, I feel it is squarely a 5- star product performing well in all areas it represents that it will.

Frequently Asked Questions For Water Storage for Camping

Water storage solutions for camping are essential for ensuring you have access to clean drinking water while outdoors. They help keep water safe from contamination and can be designed to be lightweight and portable, making them easy to carry. Additionally, many options are durable and can withstand various weather conditions, ensuring your water supply remains secure throughout your trip.

Camping water storage containers are typically made from durable materials such as high-density polyethylene, nylon, or PVC. These materials are chosen for their resistance to punctures and leaks, as well as their ability to withstand exposure to the elements. Some containers may also feature UV protection to prevent degradation from sunlight.

Choosing the right size water storage container depends on the length of your trip and the number of people in your group. For short trips, smaller containers may suffice, while longer excursions may require larger capacities to ensure you have enough water. Consider your daily water needs and the availability of refill options when selecting a size.

When selecting camping water storage containers, look for features such as leak-proof seals, easy-to-carry designs, and compatibility with water filtration systems. Some containers may also have built-in handles or straps for convenient transport. Additionally, consider options that are collapsible or lightweight for easier packing.

Yes, camping water storage containers can be used for various purposes beyond just storing drinking water. They can be utilized for washing dishes, cleaning, or even for cooking if the material is safe for such uses. However, it's important to ensure that containers used for non-drinking purposes are thoroughly cleaned before storing drinking water.

To maintain your camping water storage containers, ensure they are cleaned and dried thoroughly after each use to prevent mold and bacteria growth. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prolong their lifespan. Regularly inspect for any signs of wear or damage, and replace them as necessary to ensure safe water storage.
