I recently switched to the North Face Stormbreak 2 tent from another model, and I 'm really impressed. It's durable, easy to set up, and perfect for camping. The 2- person version is spacious enough for two people and all their gear. Overall, a great choice for beginners or anyone looking for a reliable tent!

The tent, my dog and I have been in snow storms and bad thunderstorms. We remained warm and dry. Quick set up, first in the dark.

Bought the storm break 2 years ago when a local shop was shutting down on sale. And even if I did n't get it on sale I would buy it again in a heart beat. I have probably about 130+ nights in this bad boy and it still runs as flawless as can be. Only thing I have had to do to it is patch some holes that showed up on the bottom on a couple trips where I forgot my foot print and setup location was less than ideal.( Hunting trips in the mountains in BC) probably my favourite thing about this tent, is as the name says, storm break is its ability to stand strong in the wind. I have had this bad boy set up in some less than ideal locations, in less than ideal conditions and when all the lines are out, and the wind is howling, the tent barely wiggles. I 've been beside some hunting partners and heard their tent collapse and the wind just sailed on over the north face storm break. Zippers still work as good as the day I purchased it, fly is still nice and water tight. However I will say, when you have the fly sinched down and are spending lots of hours in the tent it does condensate inside the fly, wich is normal for every tent I have ever used, but if you 're able to open up the vestibule doors for a couple hours during the day the screen on the tent itself lets a lot of air through to dry it all up before bed again. 10/10 love this tent.

I am a tree planter in interior BC and basically lived in the stormbreak 2 for 4 months. I Stayed completely dry the entire duration of the season, as well as having no issues with wind. By the end of the season there was a slight bend in one of the poles but it was still very functional. The fly made it very easy to store a large bag( hockey bag) outside which also never got wet.

As I write, it is 2024. I have had the tent since 2016. I use it as a 1- person tent. I average about 45 days a year in this tent. It is not uncommon for me to pitch it, and leave it set- up, for 14 days at a time... this long UV- exposure use is hard on tents. I have had zero problems with the tent. Never got wet, never blown away, no repairs, zippers are still 100%. It is, of course, pretty darn snug if used by two people... but, that's the nature of 2- person backpacking tents, regardless of make/model.

When I ordered this tent I took a chance since I had never heard of this brand. I ’ m glad I did. It looks to be a high quality tent at about half the price of other brands. The seams are well sealed which is usually not the case. I set it up to seal them at it wasn ’ t necessary. I will probably be looking for this brand more often.

My 2p Marmot Tungsten has been very reliable. It kept me dry through a few very heavy downpours in the Midwest. With doors on both sides, access remains easy whether I am by myself or have a tent mate. Perfect for myself and my hiking gear. Rainfly can be used multiple ways for either privacy, easy access or wind- flow. For the price, it is durable and reliable.

This spring I took the greatest leap of adolescence and bought my first tent independent of my family. I knew I needed something that toed the fine line between durability and portability, as I would primarily be using it for river trips and backpacking. After an extensive and frankly obsessive research process, only the Tungsten 2p met my many demands. After some agonizing, I decided to take the leap, despite never owning a Marmot tent before. I am so glad I did! My first night in this tent, my dog and I stayed warm and dry despite the inch of snow that fell on top of us. This tent vents in a way that frankly I did n't know was possible and feels relatively spacious for being just a 2 person. I would say it can comfortably fit two average sized people and two medium sized packs. I have used it now for an entire spring and summer season in the peaks of the San Juans and various river canyons of the Southwest. Never once have I awoken to a drop of condensation nor had it rattle in obnoxious winds. Its quick and easy to set up solo and can pack down incredibly small. The wide open mesh top allows for spectacular star viewing and perhaps best if all, it's a spectacular color! I could n't recommend this tent enough if you need something light and durable or just want to make a wise investment in an introductory tent. 100/10

[ So I bought this tent for a trip into the Angeles mountains with friends and it was great!! It ’s the little things that matter with this tent. I purchased the Alto TR1 after having a disastrous experience with the MSR Freelite 1. The Alto provides superior shoulder and headroom, with a well placed door. Its super easy to pitch, and the little triangular space that pops out on the otherwise rectangular floor space makes the tent feel roomier, and provides space for my dog or gear. The vestibule is large and the ventilation, overall, with the fly closed, is pretty good. I bikepacked in below freezing overnight temperatures, and there was a bit of condensation at the foot of the tent, and overhead- even with the peak vents open and the cover unzipped. However, somecondensation is always expected when there is ice on the outside of the fly. 🥶 I highly recommend this tent for anyone looking to lighten their load backpacking or bikepacking. The tubular storage pack strapped down nicely on top of my handlebar dry bag. Well done, S2S!

I bought this tent almost 2 years ago, and am not mad about this purchase. Over the couple years I 've owned it, I 've used it 10- 15 times maybe more not sure. So far it has held up very well. I like how it has three different bags one for tent, fly, and poles. This allows for packing it separate in your pack, or between two packs. You also have the option to connect the pole bag to the fly and tent bag to make it on unit vs three. Also these bags also can serve a purpose inside you tent as gear holders and the pole bag as a lantern which is cool that they have more than one use. However the lantern is a joke as it's hard to snap on and comes off easily, so a good idea just needs some improvement. I found when I first bought my tent that it was hard to pack up as I was folding it up, and then it was extremely difficult to get into the bag, same with the fly. After a few times I started just stuffing in into the bag like a stuff sack, works way better and can have it all packed in minutes. Another thing I love is I was on an overnight backing trip by the coast, and during the night it started to rain and continued till mid morning. I was able to take down my tent and pack it up and fold up my footprint all under the fly. After my pack was pretty much ready to go, still under the fly where it was dry, I then took down my fly and poles packed that and hit the trail! I did get a 2 person mostly to use as a one person and have plenty of room, but have once used it with one of my friends which was pretty tight. So do n't highly recommend sleeping two unless you ’ re comfortable sleeping really close together. There is room for a backpack and some gear under each vestibule so completely doable. All and all I really like this tent it's versatile, practical, and light.

It's only little over 2 pounds and stood up against hurricane like thunderstorm and it's warm in the cold too. They market it a three season but you can definitely take this on super cold nights. Setup is crazy fast and easy. The material they used to make this is VERY durable. I forgot my footprint and for 10 nights did n't get one hole or anything. I was dry the entire time, no leaks at all. I believe this is the redesign. A lot of effort was put into the engineering for this monster tent. I do n't think I 'll ever get another tent. If you 're hiking a long ways and need something lightweight and durable this is what you get hands- down. Light weight, warm and resilient. Do n't mess around. This is another SeaToSummit outstanding product! I went from camping in heavy Kodiak Canvas to a tiny Telos TR2- Two Person Freestanding Tent. This tent is incredibly light weight and suitable for air travel. It conveniently packs up into 3 small stuff sacs that are provided. Freestanding is great, especially when you 're trying to set up on a wood platform. Most of my camping is during the summertime months or in warm climates. I brought this with me down to the USVI and the screens gave me plenty of airflow. I had zero issues with moisture. Personally, I do miss the optional zip up and down windows. I think that option would afford an individual a bit more privacy and night time warmth. As of yet, I have n't personally tent camped during a heatwave.
5
FRANK B.
[ This tent replaces a well- worn SD Clip Flashlight. The Telos is about the same weight, a bit less bulk but considerably roomier on the inside both floorspace and headroom- wise. Important consideration is that the Telos is free standing whereas the CF absolutely had to be staked out. Not a big deal on a forest floor or meadow but much of our useage is streamside, sand and gravel bars. As usual, Sea to Summit's design and engineering is thoughtful and innovative, down to simple things like color coding parts and the modular stuff sack. These guys make crazy good stuff!

This tent worked perfectly. I took it on a week long canoe trip in Maine last week. Had a mix of weather conditions. Two nights dropped to freezing with a heavy frost. One night had heavy rain. The fly cinched down very nicely and nothing got wet. Tent is super light and packed nicely into one of my dry bags. Once set up it was very sturdy in the wind and rain. Im 6 ft tall and liked the wide area for head room and I didn ’ t have issues getting in and out. I would definitely recommend buying the ground tarp which actually attaches to the tent frame itself so there was no slippage and nothing hung out with the rain. I also got the gear loft which was nice for me because I always seem to loose things while sleeping. Overall I would definitely recommend.

[ Two person set up is easy and quick. 1 person a little trickier, but I got the tent for 2 person camping anyways. One night was 17 and it stayed warm enough to keep the water unfrozen. We had condensation that night. Next night we opened all 3 vents and had no condensation, a little colder but our water was slushy, not frozen solid. Overall I ’ m very pleased. They did send me the wrong sized foot print, but that ’s not really a quality issue. Overall I like it.

Absolutely the best single wall 4 season tent! I have yet to have any condensation on the walls even with two people, snow covered gear after a long exposed trek! I do own three other 4 season tents and this one is by far superior. I have only used this tent in an alpine environment. It handles wind so well, I sleep so much better in here without a fly flap flapping. This tent is so quite in the wind. The 3 zips on the door allow good high low ventilation. And the top vents honestly seem enough airflow in an alpine environment. Also because of the shape snow loading isn ’ t really a problem. Iv also found it keeps you quite a bit warmer then most tents as well. I would not use this tent in the summer. This is an above tree line tent for light and fast missions where you need excellent cozy protection. My only complaint is I wish they made it 2- 4 inches longer. I ’ m 6. 4 and with an inflatable pad I do touch both sides. I am most comfortable solo in this tent at a diagonal.

Eldorado Tent arrived as expected in October 2022. Still waiting on winter conditions in White Mountain area of New Hampshire, so have yet to test it in real conditions, but after setting it up in the house I can confirm it feels sturdy and warm, appears to have reasonable ventilation, and is spacious for one person. For two people, it will not fit gear- so the optional vestibule will be a must for inclement weather. The interior Todd Tex material is interesting- unlike any tent I 've ever owned. If you have ever felt the inside of the cheap `` Frog Togg '' rain jackets, that is what it feels like- except much burlier. I would be concerned about durability, but it the outer shell material feels bomber and the guyline attachment points should help to shed wind in bad weather. In short, I 'm pleased and have high expectations- and looking forward to a bomber tent to test in the alpine!

If I 'm not on a bike tour somewhere in the world, I am more than likely at my home in Nepal or Colorado. I am always on the lookout for a lightweight well- made, high quality, self- standing and weather proof tent. Yes, I use this while on my bike and when away from home in either the U. S. or Nepal, I find it extremely useful to have this tent sitting in the bottom of my pack ready- to- use at a moment's notice. When I let people know that I do n't need my own room, I 'm suddenly an invited guest! I am a huge supporter of Bibler/Black Diamond tents and have used several models extensively around the world for decades.

I 'm pretty much just a weekend warrior and go car camping. I used it when the weather dropped around 50°f and was pretty comfortable. Had the Storm Break 3 years so far, and maybe a couple/few dozen uses. At half the price of the similarly featured tents from the pro competition, it's an impressive tent IMO. It's a couple pounds heavier, but that has very little effect in my application( mostly motorcycle camping). I 've had zero problems with poles, zippers, stitching, fabric, or other parts/details. I 'm relatively careful and use common sense in setup and breakdown of the tent. I use a decent ground cloth to protect the floor and avoid exposure to sharp sticks and rock etc. Also avoid over tensioning the loops and holding points when staking and setting up guylines. I 'm careful with zippers and do n't force them or zip/unzip carelessly or super fast. In my limited experience, the zippers have been excellent. The vestibule flap zippers can be a bit fussy, and I simply use a finger to `` lead '' the zipper- pull path; this prevents the overlap fabric from getting caught in the pull. I 've used it in light rain and moderately windy conditions, but not in extreme weather. It has performed and held up just fine. Having read some of the negative reviews, I do n't understand how poles can just `` break '' or bend into some strange wavy deformed condition that some have claimed- that's odd IMO, and makes me wonder if those individuals are n't revealing the entire story/truth or maybe were careless? Setup is quick and pretty simple, and is doable in the dark if you 're familiar with the process and the tent. I really like the overall design and features: roomy, vestibules, inside mesh pockets in all 4 corners, interior hanger loops, the fly- great tent in my experience!

Most spacious, lightweight tent I 've owned! It packs down amazingly. Have biked and hiked with this tent and ca n't recommend it enough. So nice to have room inside for two people to sit up! I would recommend picking up some extra guy line for the fly to be able to stake out the centre of the fly and not just the corners. In colder weather, I find that the fly sticks to the tent with condensation. Nothing a little extra staking ca n't fix.

[ I purchased this a couple of months ago and really like it. It was a little more than the other tents that I was looking at, but I decided to go for it. It is unbelievably light, so it is no factor when hiking. The spacing inside is good. The construction is solid. I would recommend this tent to anyone who wants a simple, light tent.

[ The tent is very light and easy to carry, which can save space for more planning. The rainproof effect is good. I have spent several night shifts in the mountains this spring, which brought me many beautiful feelings. Through the star network, I can see the sky full of stars and feel happy. The only thing that needs to be improved is the windproof performance. In the fifth and sixth level mountain winds, there is a lot of shaking, and the windproof rope needs to be particularly stable.

A little weird to set up at first because stake location needs to be clear of roots and rocks, and it requires all 4 corner stakes to raise it soundly but very light and can be set up quickly if there's nothing in the ground to block the stakes. Camped twice in this amazing tent. Once in a rainstorm. Kept me completely dry. The setup video on the Sea to Summit site is awesome on how to pitch it properly and once you 've watched it a few times, setup is super easy. Only grip is the ties for the fly door opening are not elastic like they are for tent doors. Please please please make that change

[ I 've only been able to take it out a couple times, but the Copper Spur has been worth the money. I got the mtnGLO on a whim, but it really is nice to have a non- harsh light source built in. Easily worth the extra bucks.

[ Ok, let me start out saying I have a few tents( well, WAAAY too many tents). All of them were carefully selected, and are pretty great, but each has a fault or two. Too heavy, too much condensation, only one door, small vestibule for my pack.... Anyways, I did n't need a new tent, and it is not exactly a cheap purchase, but I must say, I am completely satisfied, and blown away. It is lightweight, but seems to be durable after 10 days in the backcountry. Very light, without having to go to a non- freestanding tent( seriously, how many of us really want to spend 10 minutes properly staking out and adjusting a non- freestanding tent after a 15- 20 mile day). Great to have two entries and vestibules so we do n't have to climb over each other to get out or get to our packs. The awnings are great, and totally an unexpectedly useful bonus. Even without it, it would be my favorite tent. My two cents- go for the mtnGLO. I am usually very aware of my pack weight, doing hikes in the High Sierras that start at 9, 000 feet, but it is so cool to have built in( and not overly bright) lights, and leave the rainfly folded back halfway to see the stars. Highly recommended, and if you buy a great tent to start with, you will save a bunch of money not buying more tents looking to resolve some shortcoming in a compromised tent...

[ Just recently used this tent on a back packing trip. Amazed at its quality, durability, and weight. Sporadic rain/wind throughout the days and it handled it very well. Go for the MTNglo lights, worth every extra penny. My friends were jealous.

[ I used this tent on a gravel bike trip in Wyoming and Montana. I didn ’ t have to pack it on my bike- it was carried on a van. This tent is easy to set up. I loved that it has 2 doors and how spacious it is. It has lots of pockets for storage. Im happy with my purchase of this tent!

[ I purchased this tent for my teen age daughter. She likes to camp and her old tent was just worn out and not worth repairing. So far we have been lucky and have not experienced any severe weather so i can not attest to how this tent holds up in the wind or rain. Its sets up quickly and looks to be very sturdy. The rain fly is good and large. I like that the screens on the sides of the tent are well above the ground. This should prevent wind blown rain for making its way in like it does on tents where the screen is lower to the ground. The top vents zipper closed but i have to wonder if there is still not a chance of wind blown rain entering at the top of the tent. I guess we will just have to wait and see. The zippers work very well. The tent is very roomy for a two person tent. So far my only suggestions for improvement are to make the compression straps on the bag go all the way around the bag so they are not dependent on the stitching and add a carry handle. Other than that I am very satisfied so far.

[ We purchased this tent after our lovely loyal LLBEAN 3 person needed to retire. It ’s a great design, lots of headroom, handy inner pockets and loops, helpful colour coding. For some reason there was a leak happening during our first 2 outings. I reached out and true to their work a replacement fly was sent. I still wonder why the first one leaked, one of life ’s mysteries I guess. Many thanks Sea to Summit for your support

[ I bought this tent a few months ago, in preparation for a multi- day trip to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. It is super easy to set up; I specifically like the colorcoding of matching orange poles to orange tent corners and silvery poles to white tent corners. I slept two nights on Third Beach and two nights on the Enchanted Valley trail. I love love love the front door, which means I can crawl in while keeping my feet outside the tent easier, thus dragging less dirt in. The material is thin, but it has robustness to it, and it kept all sorts of tiny bugs out. I like the ventilation options. I did get overly warm in the middle of the day if I was inside with everything zippered up, which means it 'd hold heat well in cooler temperatures. Did n't happen to have any internal moisture problems during my trip and it even rained on the last day. It was very nice being able to reverse fast- fly the tent in the rain. I was able to take down the inner portion while staying under the fly and on the ground tarp. Just a matter of disassembling it while inside and then popping the tent poles out of their holders, re- putting them into the tarp's holders, and doing that for all four corners. All of the pockets were great. I did take my big orange safety whistle and its necklace cord, and put the cord through a loop on the main overhead pocket in such a way as to fasten the pocket up a bit higher. It does hang a bit low once it's filled with stuff. Overall, this is a mansion as a one person tent with plenty of space to sit up and move around. I 'd have been fine also making this an actual two person tent with my partner, especially since with the multiple entries there's plenty of space to get in and out and store stuff. Overall, I 'm really glad I went with my gut and splurged on this tent. It's not the lightest out there, but I felt very safe in it since it was a standalone, rather than something that required needing stakes, and it did n't feel super flimsy.

[ The defining feature of this tent is that 3rd door and it is awesome! It's like a giant picture window. You spend all that effort hiking to some beautiful place, why not have a tent that allows you to continue to enjoy the view from inside the tent. It also does wonders for ventilation. The volume is really nice. The floor size is pretty standard 2- person. The gear loft over the foot area is pretty roomy. I kept a lot of seldom used stuff there while camping over the weekend. Off the floor and out of the way.

[ I did a lot of research trying to find a new tent. I was drawn to this one because of the 3- door feature, it being a somewhat lightweight backpacking tent, the awning setup for shade during my morning coffee, and the many many pockets and thoughtful design. So far I have used this tent once on a backpacking trip in Utah. It did snow one evening during the trip about 2- 3 inches and the tent held up just fine and I was completely dry inside. The tent is very intuitive to set up. I am looking forward to using this again.

[ The quality and ease of this tent is amazing. The perfect pitch every time. If you 're looking to get into ultralight or switching from rocking a hammock-> this is the way to go. Tested hard on a thru hike with two of the 8 days a complete soak out, the inside of the tent stayed absolutely dry. Even when you think you picked the perfect spot, 1& 1/2 ” of rain changes things. Using the fly and BA ’s footprint, you can quickly set that up to gather yourself saving all the crap in your pack and keeping the inside tent dry to set up. Never be wet and try to sleep@ 40 degrees. The hang dry time is fantastic and packs down easy every time with the provided sacks that hold up great in your pack or very securely on your bike. There ’s plenty of room& storage inside and out to divide your clean( dry clothes/ electronics/ etc) stuff& your dirty( just funky) stuff. In a pinch you could fit 2 people but it ’s perfect for you, all your gear, and maybe a dog. Anyone that ’s been out 5+ days of hitting hard backcountry knows it doesn ’ t smell peachy- no need to x2. I can ’ t say enough about the easy of setting up and breaking down. It almost want to put itself together, the rods with act like a Transformer once you get them going and the buckles/tie downs leave you with a nice strong tent. Got a bunch of dirt and leaves inside, no worries- just grab the frame attached to the tent, leave a vestibule open and lightly shake that out. Go easy with the zippers, stay away from open flames, watch for sharpe rocks/ thorns, clean with recommended soap, and this tent should be a winner for many years of adventure!

[ I was stuck between the Fly Creek and the Copper Spur for bike camping and hiking uses. I went with the Copper Spur because it's just a little bigger. I 'm very happy with the tent so far, I might have sixteen nights in it to date. The ventilation is well done, the extremely light materials are strong and breathable. It fits between the drops on my bikes. The bags it comes in are super nice too. I stick the poles under my half frame bag, 20 '' top tube length of the frame, and 12 '' pole segments fit just right.

I love it, I have only used it one time so I am still learning how to set it up. With the tail gate down and window and gate open you have over 10 feet of leg room and can almost stand up in it. I wish I had bought this many years ago. Another owner of an Avalanche saw it this weekend and wanted to know where to get one. I would recommend setting up in your driveway with help the first time so you have an idea of where the straps go before just setting out on a trip. I glad I did. When I went camp I was by myself and was different when you have help. I enjoyed it.

I bought this before a soccer tournament with rain in the forecast. It works great at keeping the rain and wind away. Even though it says two people, that would be a tight fit for two adults and chairs. Set up is very easy and can be done in seconds. Tear down is a little tricky and takes some practice.

I bought the Carbon Reflex 2 to start my serial section hike of the AT. It has been fantastic. It is light weight for a 2 wall tent. I have been out 22 nights last year and 10 night this year. I have been in 9 degree cold with wind and rain, and 85 degree high humidity. I have never had any condensation in the tent. Even though I hike solo I chose the 2. I like to have all my gear in the tent with me. I feel that the little extra weight is worth it. Setting up is quick and easy. I have even learned how to in the rain set up the rain fly first and then the tent without getting any water in the tent. Last year on a cold rainy morning I was in such a hurry to get packed up, I lost the short tent pole. I stayed in shelters the next two nights not missing the pole. The third night setting up I realized what I had done. I was able to cut and use a small branch as a sorry replacement. I phoned customer service, and they shipped me a new pole in just a few days. Thanks MSR! This tent is light weight, durable, and it works. If you need a tent, this is it. Only negative is that it is not free standing.

I bought this tent about 3 years ago after eyeing it or it's aluminum counterpart. I had the hubba before. I had worked for an out fitter for about 7 years when I purchased this tent so I had put much thought into it as well as been able to see a little bit of what else was out there. We did n't carry this tent and I thought it was the same configuration as the Hubba hubba- not quite. It is not entirely free standing but that's fine it's not as bad a most other non- free standing types. The side doors are amazing and the biggest plus. No climbing over each other and amazing light weight. You ca n't get a better tent weight without going to something like say... a big agnes where they have the single front door configuration which if you are tall or not flexible is not the easiest to get into. Also the side door configuration gives you twice the vestibule space. Personally I used this as a single person tent and enjoyed my extra space. It is small enough and light enough to pass as a one man shelter. I am a hair over 6' 2 '' '' and while I might have to slouch a bit; I can sit sideways in the door and get my boots on or cook under the vestibule in a storm. It is long enough that I do n't have to worry about my feet or head picking up condensation from rubbing the end of the tent. Still big enough for two. Location Used: Florida- stormy weather Location Used: New Mexico- Philmont( guide 4 months)

[ I bought this tent last year, but was only able to use it for the first time a few weeks ago. I was excited to give it a try and was not disappointed. Some high level thoughts: 1. I wanted a tent with a large vestibule AND that I could stand up in. I live in the PNW and we get a lot of rainy days. The amount of space was perfect for my setup. 2. The initial build is a but confusing at first, but once you figure it out is a breeze to setup. The tent uses a snap system that I have n't encountered before but that I find clever. 3. It took me more than a few minutes and few tries to figure out which is the front door when adding the tarp. BA likely could have added some big arrows or something here. 4. Yes, this is a two person tent, but I use a larger sleeping pad, so really only have space for one( ok with me since I solo mostly). 5. Definitely a car camping tent. But it is compact enough when stored to not take up too much room. 6. My only real complaint is the vestibule has about a 6 '' gap around the bottom edges. So you do n't get a real feeling of 100% privacy. I also use the separate footprint and I kept kicking dirt into the vestibule area that required me to constantly sweep out. On the other hand, did n't have any problem with bugs. 7. Love the amount of doors, including the front and side door. Bottom line: This will be my go- to tent for solo car camping, especially on wet/rainy weekends.

[ I bought this to replace my 14 year old kelty for backpacking with my dog. I was surprised by the strength of the material considering it feels very thin and fragile in your hand. I am happy to report after two trips with a two year old lab with uncut nails, this tent has held up phenomenally with out any tears or punctures. It is incredibly lightweight and packs well. The overall construction of the tent( zippers, buckles, poles, ect.) is very well made and worth the price. Its also one of the more user friendly small tents, as it is equipped with pockets galore.

[ I purchased this tent late last summer and could not wait to give it a try on a bike packing trip. I love the size of this tent both packed and set up. It's perfect and spacious for one person, with lots of room to spread out and store gear. I placed my bike in the 'garage' as it rained the first trip out. Everything stayed dry. Lots of internal storage pockets and I slept comfortably( it was a warm night and a cool morning with light rain overnight). It was an easy first time set up... no issues at all. I used a tarp for a foot print but ended up purchasing the foot print later when it came back in stock. I will be using this bike packing tent in 2022 for a 300 miler. The reason I purchased this tent is that I can keep my bike in the large vestibule( garage. There are two entries with a smaller vestibule on the other end... I could exit on that end. I still had room in the larger vestibule( where my bike was) to use for heating water for oatmeal and coffee in the morning. The tent has ample room to sit up and get dressed inside. The tent weighs about 6 lbs. Yes... there are lighter bike packing tents... but for the security of being able to keep your bike inside the tent and the price of this tent... that extra weight.... No problem for a bike packer! The tent fits easily back into it's stuff sack.

[ My first Big Agnes tent and I 'm pleased with it. I took it out for a 7 mile hike two night stay and two different camp sites last weekend and was happy with it, the apprecated the pound in weight I would have gained if I went with another brand I was considering. I use it for just myself 5' 10 '' and it fits me just fine with a little room at top or bottom as well as room for pack if desired. I did stand my pack up in the vestibule second night and that fit fine with enough room to get out. I use Big Agnes ultra core sleeping pad and that fits fine. Appreciate the two stuff pockets on sides and smaller pocket on top. Zipper door operated well. I like all the different stake out points and options. I ended up using one sticks on each side to raise the upper guy lines on the fly about 2ft. This really helped with air flow. I read in a review that you may need additional stakes for this tent, I bought 6 additional and found that I needed to use 5 of them to stake every guy out. I will use this tent for many many years to come.
