I really like the option of having rechargeable and AAA. A bit more slim then prior model, strap is also a little more slim. Not sure if I like the more slim strap but seems to compliment the unit as the unit is more slim and lighter. You can tell the brightness difference from the prior 400 model. Overall great modifications to a already awesome light!

We ’ ve had many BD headlamps and it were stoked that these feel like a true upgrade even from a few years ago. The locking features make us feel like we ’ ll keep our batteries in tacked and we are pysched on the ease of the last light function being locked as well for your favorite light style. 5 stars based on my assumption I ’ ll really like the features but honestly these reviews shouldn ’ t even be available till a year later. I have another black diamond head lamp and needed a back up. This one will be my primary. My old one was rock solid and based on what I ’ ve seen so far this one will be too. Love being able to lock in settings( i. e. red light and light level). Just pay the slight bump and get the light with this feature.
