They ’ re light and somewhat thin( in a good way), yet strong, and have already been beach tested during a recent super sunny and bright windy- winter 30#, 6 mile, beach ruck, down along the mixed snowy and soft sand of Rockaway Beach; they are great all around! Since I live close to the beach, I do prefer a wrap pair, so for me, these are tied for second best! But, like all my other Maui Jim sunglasses, these are: AwSoMe, nonetheless. Incredible shades. I started with the Red Sands, which were great. However, since my head is NOT the size of a parade balloon, I swapped 'em out for the more streamlined Pokowai Arches. They fit my medium- sized melon perfectly. I love these things because they 're stylish( translucent gray frames, Hawaii blue lenses), but they are also incredibly light- weight... if you 're after comfort, you simply will not find a pair of glasses that can compete with these. Well done, Maui Jim! Now, it's on me- I need to cherish these, and hold on to them, unlike the 6, 300 pairs of shades I 've lost throughout my life( approximate count).

It helps your local economy, along w/ getting you some professional assistance! 2) For me, it came down to the Southern Cross vs. the Kanaio Coast( KC). I actually ordered a pair of each and then decided from there. My concern was that the Southern Cross initially seemed too big for my face and that the KC was a smaller version of the Southern Cross- thus better. And, indeed, the KC is very much like a mini- Southern Cross. 3) But I found the Southern Cross an absolute upgrade over the KC. They are more substantial- the Southern Cross very much feels like an expensive, significant pair of sunglasses in your hand, what you 'd want for the high cost.... The KC does not give off this feeling- they seem much less quality in your hand, more like a department store brand sunglass. Do n't get me wrong, the KC are nice glasses- I almost bought them. But the Southern Cross pair is simply a superior build. 4) I needed a reader put into my lenses and because the KC is smaller, the reader sat too far up the lens- it was distracting. The larger Southern Cross seems custom made for the reader- the lens having plenty of room to allow the reader to sit low and unobtrusive. 5) The smaller KC also sat too close to my eyelashes- I had to adjust them to not hit my eyelashes. The Southern Cross, no issues. 6) If you are looking for a pair of high end Maui Jim wraps, the Southern Cross is a fantastic choice. I 've had these for a little less than a year and I love, love, love them! The Blue Hawaii lens is the best sunglass lens I 've ever had. The HEV blue light filter is excellent. I have macular degeneration and I do a lot of gardening. With regular sunglasses I see turquoise everywhere after I go inside from working outside. No turquoise anymore with these. An eye saver! The Blue Hawaii lens is awesome. the colors are very vibrant and real. I ca n't say enough about this lens. I use them when I 'm gardening and with the polarization the colors are so true that I 'm able to see all the different flower shades with them on. I 've had these for a little less than a year and I love, love, love them! The Blue Hawaii lens is the best sunglass lens I 've ever had. The HEV blue light filter is excellent. I have macular degeneration and I do a lot of gardening. With regular sunglasses I see turquoise everywhere after I go inside from working outside. No turquoise anymore with these. An eye saver! The Blue Hawaii lens is awesome. the colors are very vibrant and real. I ca n't say enough about this lens. I use them when I 'm gardening and with the polarization the colors are so true that I 'm able to see all the different flower shades with them on. The Blue Black Stripe frame is light weight, comfortable and fits my face and head well. I love that the wraparound keeps the sun off my eyes from the side. This is the first pair of Maui Jims I 've had and my husband is now purchasing the same ones for himself. He likes them so much.

Just received my new Ohai with Maui Sunrise lenses. This is my second pair of Maui Jim ’s. The first pair lasted me 10 years! This pair is as stylish and good looking as the first. Very light weight and comfortable, I forget I ’ m wearing them half the time. They fit nicely under my motor bike helmet, an added bonus! The customer service from Maui Jim is SECOND TO NONE! I wasn ’ t sure about the lens colour at first but it ’s grown on me and I now wouldn ’ t have gone for a more run of the mill colour.
