[ I do n't like a lot of weight on my head because I suffer from chronic migraines. I love how much sun protection this hat offers for so little weight. I also love the structure of the hat. I had another brand hat that was lightweight, but it was very floppy. It just did n't hold any kind of shape. I have had other hats with nice structure, but it was a lot of weight on my head. I got this hat because the brim is slightly smaller than my full on sun hat, so it ’s not as awkward to wear in the car or indoors, but still provides a good amount of sun protection. I got the goldenrod color, and it ’s a little darker in person, but still a cool color. It does seem to run a little small compared to my other hats of the same size, so if you ’ re in between sizes, probably best to size up. Oh, and the sunglasses holder is awesome! After having them in a couple of sun hats, I would never want to buy one without.

I go on birdwatching trips, and on a bird- watching Safari, we were advised to be sure the hat we wore would n't obstruct the view of others in the vehicle, so I chose this hat. I have three of these hats. I keep one in the car and one in my backpack so I always have it on hand. I am a redhead and these do the best job of protecting my neck, scalp, and face of any hat I have owned. I also love the folding brim so it can go in a pocket. It stays on well in windy conditions if you snap it under your chin. I wish it came in more colors. Fun ones. I would love orange or teal or fuchsia.

I bought the Oat Sunset Hat first, to wear while gardening and walking the dog. I live in NE FL and the sun can be brutal at times. Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. Very versatile and can be used in any number of scenarios. Thanks for a great product!
