The mechanism to open and close this canopy is genius. It takes a minute to get the hang of it, but can absolutely be fully opened with legs extended in a minute, by yourself. More importantly, you can close it yourself( also very easily) in just seconds, and without needing to recruit three other people to help you like other canopies. This canopy is far better quality than any of the typical canopies you see at tailgates or soccer tournaments. It's heavier than other canopies, but it comes with a great quality bag with wheels which makes it easy to move. The straight- leg design means that you have a full 10 x 10 covered area as many other brands have angled legs which make the space under the canopy smaller than 10x10. This one feels much bigger than a typical canopy. I will be showing this off and recommending to all of my tailgate friends and fellow lacrosse parents. I got the grey color which is simple and neutral.

This canopy is incredible. We use it for youth baseball tournaments and everyone that sees it thinks it's awesome. It is absolutely the easiest canopy I 've seen to put up and take down. It is of better quality than any others also. Only thing that you will need to get used to is that is much heavier than others you may have used in the past, but that is due in large part to the quality. It would have benefited also from having tie points for the anchor system to tie it down but it is manageable. Be careful also not to drop it on the wheels when unloading as the pins that hold the wheels will bend due to the weight.

Hats off to the engineers at GCI.... The old days of 2 or four people pulling each corner of a canopy outwards are over. This canopy makes it crazy simple for one person to quickly set up a canopy without needing any support from others. Be ready to have onlookers impressed with your new rig. In the first week of owning this canopy, I was able to use it camping with my family and also at a Lacrosse Tournament. While we were setting up our tent, a quick thunderstorm was passing through. We quickly set this up over our tent to prevent rain from getting in the tent.( we did n't trust the rain fly on our tent). We also used this canopy as a sun shelter while camping. At the lacrosse tournament, this canopy stood out among the others with its stylish branding and blue color. The lax team and families were able to quickly find our home base under the canopy. This was our location for gear, drinks, snacks, and resting between games. The biggest challenge with this canopy is the expectation that it operates like canopies from the past. Knowledge and experience with past canopies and their design may impede upon learning a new technology and design. People will find that the Initial set up is very different. GCI created clever instructions and a great video to learn the new method. I 'm not someone to read directions so the video was useful for me. Once you 've learned the set up method... subsequent set ups are like riding a bike. Bonus features of this canopy are- Solid carrying case with wheels, handles, pocket for stakes and big opening for sliding the canopy in and out.- Robust sturdy framing- Double layer padded friction spots to prevent any tearing- Flick down legs for quick assembly- Stylish and robust canopy fabric- Air vents at the top to allow wind and air movement areas that could use improvement...- bigger wheels on bag would help with rough terrain but current wheels do alright- maybe a longer velcro pull strap on the canopy to wrap around the corner of the tent frame to get more adherence to velcro.- Would love it if there was an optional mosquito screen accessory All in all, I 'm loving this canopy... its a game- changer! I will never go back to the old style of canopies!

Best beach shade
We were vacationing in a spot where you are only allowed to have a shade structure with a monopole in the middle and this was perfect. It was so much cheaper than the other monopole that ’s more well known. It was easy to put up and in fact, I like it more than our neso grande shade tent which cost four times as much when we purchased at five years ago. Just wish this could work in the yard or at soccer games. It ’s a breeze to set up and take down. I can ’ t say enough good things about it. I bought this to replace an old pop- up which had bowed, bent and broke at the middle brace points. I bought this one specifically for the reinforced braces in the middle and it did n't bow in once even during a rain storm in the mountain of Southern CO. The vented top was perfect for the wind, which was n't super strong, but was moving the top quite a bit! Really liked the idea of closing and opening these vents. Even had one side closed& the other open during the rain so it would n't come in us while we were cooking! Also bought this because of parts replacements, even thought I have n't needed it, very nice to know that it's available! The issue we had when putting it up, was a screw in the inside leg at the bottom was n't put in straight and it was catching the outer leg from extending. In step 3 of the instructions, Figure D was impossible to do! Had to have 2 people work at this to get it to click!

The fabric is extremely soft and lightweight, and it feels great while running. It doesn ’ t have that stiff or crinkly feel some jackets do. [ The canopy jacket is a perfect spring layer. Right out of the box, I really liked the feel of the jacket and it looked flattering when I put it on. I am typically a small and even though I am in my 3rd trimester, I was surprised to find that the jacket still fit due to elasticity in the material. It will be perfect when I get back to my typical size. The two zipping pockets are great to keep my keys secure on a run and big enough for a phone if I am wearing it more casually. The material also did a great job keeping me dry in a slight rain. I do n't believe the jacket is completely water- proof, but it is certainly water resistant, which I would n't have expected with how soft and non- plasticy the material feels. The trade off with jackets that keep water out is that they are not the most breathable, but the canopy jacket seems to have found a nice balance between the two. The vent in the back helped to let some of my body heat escape so that I did n't feel like I was trapped with heat and sweat. Overall, this is a piece that I will come back to often.

I used the weight bags for the first time at a four day music festival. We set up in the rain and expected wind so we used the bags. I filled them with pea pebbles which worked really well. It never got really windy so I do n't know for sure how they would have held up, but the bags are made with a heavy material and once in place they stayed there. Overall I thought they were a little pricey but they are made of good quality material so in this case you get what you pay for.

We use these weight bags, filled with pea gravel, on the four posts of our garden gazebo( metal frame with sun- fabric top and sides). Our area frequently gets strong winds of 20- 80 mph. Since using these bags, the gazebo no longer lifts up nor moves at all. The strong material holds up well to sun, wind, and rain; there is no sign of deterioration after one year. Hint: if you do n't like the black color, wrap a scrap piece of colored sun- fabric around it. The only thing I can recommend the manufacturer to improve would be to add a 2nd strap, so that there's one on top and one near the bottom; in the meantime, you can do this yourself by buying straps at a hardware store or outdoors store.

Do n't waste your time and money with anything else. Invented right here in North Carolina. Easy to carry and set up/take down. We used it for our first time at a ball game. It was indeed easy to raise and lower. It was a slight wind so we used the stakes. I could see high wind being a problem for anything of this design. The wheeled bag was awesome for lugging to and from the field. Very pleased.

After weeks of procrastinating, I finally ordered this canopy sight unseen. Why sellers do n't add the fact that their canopy has Velcro inside to hold it in place is beyond me. That's the feature I was looking for. This canopy is a step above others and I love it. Well worth the extra few dollars.

Not realizing the mistake until we were tailgating! I am quite surprised the Dicks sells straight leg tents but not straight leg side walls.

This is a must have to keep the sun from scorching you in the late afternoons when the sun is at an angle. And it's thin and small enough that it will slide in the bag with the pop up. I did think it was a little expensive, but it's worth it not to get sunburnt.

This is the second of these canopies( Quest 10X10 Slant) that I ’ ve purchased. I have used the first for five week- long beach trips where it saw all- day daily use. It is only now beginning to show some wear and tear but is in good shape to continue to use. I purchased this( second) canopy simply to pop up a second canopy and have more shade. If the original gets to a point where I can no longer use it, I look at it this way…I got the opportunity to use it for approximately a dollar a day. At that price, I can just continue to buy another of these when the previous one deteriorates. Well worth the money!
