The original skate was too small I got online with Dick's Chat line and within a few minutes a return was processed and a replacement skate was ordered in the correct size. I received the replacement skate in 3 days and the return slip was emailed to me the same day. Dick's went ahead and shipped the skate without me having to purchase the same pair and before they received the incorrect pair back in stock. This was not Dick's error but mine, I ordered the wrong size. The skate is great it looks like a good quality of material and is what I expected. For sporting goods Dick's will get my business.

I liked the leather uppers and stainless steel blades which were well sharpened out of the box. Stainless steel is harder than other steels and does not rust. The fit was great, but order a size smaller than your normal size. They are easy to skate on and well balanced, tho I am a beginner skater, I do love these skates. Good job Lake Placid.

I 'm a beginner skater and invested in some skates since I live near a rink now and can go skate at least three or four times a week. I tried out various skates( including the less expensive Lake Placid Cascade skates) before I settled on the Alpines. These skates were far superior to any of the others. They are sooooo comfortable- even after skating for a couple hours. The memory foam lining of the boot also feels like it's molding to my foot. Great ankle support and the leather boot was worth the extra money( the Cascade skates are plastic/pleather). I highly recommend these if you 're looking for a good, affordable pair of skates. A note about sizing: I wear a 9. 5 and the size 8 fit great.

These skates are my sister's but she has gone off to college so I have been practicing skating at our local outdoor rink. Even though these are ladies skates I want to practice using her figure skates until I get good at skating. So far I really like the feel and fit of these skates and my feet never get tired. If I wear them out I will have to buy her a new pair but I 'll keep hers.

As a young boy we could n't afford hockey skates so I always wore my sisters figure skates. Much later when I was now on my own I took back into ice skating but this time wearing men's hockey skates. The problem with the men's skates they did n't have toe picks and that was what I really missed. These Tricot Figure Skates in ladies size 11 fit me perfect and they are exactly what I needed to be able to enjoy ice skating again. It would have been nice if they came in black but I will get useto wear white figure skates again.

My Merrell moabs have been the best shoes I have ever owned. They last forever. I just get new inserts every year or so. Rain or snow even deep puddles and my feet stay dry. They are so much better for my knees, ankles and feet. They cost more upfront but last forever. I used to wear out the tread in my shoes and I have never done that with my moabs. I 've worn Merrells for 20 years and now that's all I buy.

The PowerStride shorts are the most comfortable hockey jock I have worn. The cup stays in a comfortable position unlike most jocks I have had. The waist band feels good and the shorts do not inhibit any movement. The only possible negative is I did not feel any compression support but, they are not as loose as non- compression.

Great short for hockey. I use this style for umpiring. Seems that people seeing us dress in parking lots do not get so excited about us in the shorts over the compression tight protectors. Weird how the works. For us umpires, the velcroe stocking connectors are not really necessary.

The aircore cup is by far the most comfortable cup on the market. It is better than Bike, NuttyBuddy, and the other ShockDoctor cups. The cup's interior is a little smaller volume than others, but should fit most. I am a 34 '' waist and ordered the Large. The waist is perfect, but the cup pocket is a little too loose allowing some movement. Would love to try a Medium, but do n't want to return for a Medium and find out the Large was better.
