I had an old pair of UA compression leggings that I have been looking to all the running companies to try to find something comparable in fit, feel, pocket... and have not been able to. [ For a few years now the only socks I run in are Smartwool. Other similar brands pinch my toes together too tight but Smartwool does n't so I wo n't even look elsewhere. In previous winters I run with targeted cushion mid crew run socks. I did n't even know this cold weather sock existed until last week when I ordered it. I did n't expect it to actually make a difference but it totally DID! The initial cold top of my foot did n't happen. The occasional cold toes did n't happen. I swear these are n't any thicker than my other Smartwool Targeted Cushion Run socks but somehow they are warmer! My only wish is that they came mid- crew size instead of full crew since I have wide calves and these pinch a tad. I never would have bought a full crew sock if it was n't the only option, and this is probably why I never noticed the product before. In the last two days with my new socks I ran a 15k and a 5k in 40F weather. The lowest I tend to run in is 30F but I do n't look forward to that temp. With these socks I will look forward to the next cold day because I ca n't wait to find out if my feet stay warm at that temp, too.

[ I 'm certain these are the nicest leggings I 've ever worn. My initial reaction to them was realizing that they are incredibly soft and smooth to the touch. The material is light- weight. The nylon/spandex dri- fit material is unlike anything I 've ever worn. When trying them on, I was a little nervous the fit would be too tight. I am a curvy 8/10 in bottoms and the medium fits perfectly. As you slide the leggings on, you realize these have an amazing level of support. The leggings feature a comfortable mid- rise waistband that has an additional flat drawstring that can be used to further adjust the fit. I did n't have to adjust mine, so it laid comfortable against my belly. The leggings are so sleek, you may miss the 3 hidden pockets along the inner backside of the waistband. There are two small ones and a larger one in the middle. The leggings also feature a deeper side pocket on each leg and a single zipper pocket on the left leg. That's 6 pockets in total for maximum storage while remaining sleek in design. Lastly, the leggings feature a single Nike swoosh on the top, front side of the leggings. Overall, the design seems simple but a lot of thought went into constructing this masterpiece. These are perfect for hitting a trail or even running errands. I love the storage and the support. This set is overall one of the best winter base layer fits I ’ ve had the chance to try out in the elements( as of yet). The fleecy layer inside isn ’ t too thick, so it will keep you decently warm while not feeling overly constricting( it won ’ t ruin or take away from your outfit either). If I was to give constructive feedback on anything, it would be that they are a little short in length( mind you, I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ”). So, I ’ m really not picky about that kind of thing( for leggings in particular). Especially as they do have a bit of stretch. I would say that they are relatively true to size, maybe size down if you ’ re on the more petite side of the spectrum.

I do n't like reviews that say `` love these '' or some such, since it tells me very little. So... I am 5' 2 and weigh 152 pounds. My inseam is usually 28 inches, no more than 29. I ordered the large and they were perfect in length, landing right at my ankles with a little sag for give in the knees, and for squatting. I have a bit of a straight waist that is short- the waist band is about a 2 inch band that did NOT roll over or down and did not bind so the waist was just right. Fit perfect in the hips, and I have a butt so they stretched without gapping or sagging down in the back. I washed them in warm water, rinsed in cold and hung them up to dry. Dried quickly. They were warm without being hot, did not bunch in the crotch, and I had on jeans over them. Worked outside on the farm and stayed cozy. Went back and bought two more pairs.

`` Heavyweight '' is a little misleading. The fabric is very thin and see- through. On their own, they do n't feel very warm, but worn under jeans or other pants as intended, they function very well. I forget I 'm even wearing them under jeans, and they keep me very warm on cold mornings. A good comfortable base layer. Got the M and they fit great. I 'm usually a 6- 8 in pant size.
