I had an old pair of UA compression leggings that I have been looking to all the running companies to try to find something comparable in fit, feel, pocket... and have not been able to. The only issue with that old pair is that they would fall down until I started sweating, then they would stay in place. Also, they are very lightweight and I needed something warmer. So I came back to UA to see what else they have to offer and found the Vanish Cold Weather leggings, they looked like the same fit as my old leggings, I decided to give them a try. Well what I thought could n't get better is so much better! They do n't fall down AT ALL, they have added warm panels where needed, and they have TWO pockets instead of the one so I can alternate what leg my phone is on. These babies move with me like I never thought possible- I usually have a tough time with the shape of leggings... too tight in the wrong places, too loose in other wrong places, but these hug just right with no extra material bunching and no digging. Thought I just needed a vest as part of my running wardrobe, but little did I know this was a must have I never knew about. Now in cooler weather I ’ m wearing this for pretty well any temperature below 50F. Seems shocking that you could do 6- 20 mile runs at near 50 degrees with what seems like a hot article of clothing but somehow it ’s fantastic at regulating heat. I ’ VE NEVER FELT HOT WHILE WEARING THIS!!! Sure I ’ ll still sweat, but there ’s no worry about thinking you need to plan for how warmed up you ’ ll be 2- 3 miles in. One slight ding I ’ d give for how small the zipper pulls are and it ’s easy for the bottom one to not quite line up and get off track.

[ For a few years now the only socks I run in are Smartwool. Other similar brands pinch my toes together too tight but Smartwool does n't so I wo n't even look elsewhere. In previous winters I run with targeted cushion mid crew run socks. I did n't even know this cold weather sock existed until last week when I ordered it. I did n't expect it to actually make a difference but it totally DID! The initial cold top of my foot did n't happen. The occasional cold toes did n't happen. I swear these are n't any thicker than my other Smartwool Targeted Cushion Run socks but somehow they are warmer! My only wish is that they came mid- crew size instead of full crew since I have wide calves and these pinch a tad. I never would have bought a full crew sock if it was n't the only option, and this is probably why I never noticed the product before. In the last two days with my new socks I ran a 15k and a 5k in 40F weather. The lowest I tend to run in is 30F but I do n't look forward to that temp. With these socks I will look forward to the next cold day because I ca n't wait to find out if my feet stay warm at that temp, too.

Great and warm tights. I usually wear an x- small but the last tights I ordered are tight so I ordered a small. I think i needed the x- small. I am 5' 3. 5 '' 115lbs and these are a little big but not too big that I ca n't wear them!! I wore them on a morning that it was 29 out and hey were great!

I ’ ve owned these for a few years but just always remember why I love them after every cold run. Today I shoveled in them for 75 minutes and sledded for 30 and, yes, my skin was a little red underneath afterward, but I was comfortable. The side pocket is clutch, too.

[ I could go on and on about this whole line from Smartwool. It's their best thing in a very long time and I 've been a fan for years. The material is very soft, has a great but comfortable fit. These bottoms also have a nice wide and sturdy waste band so there is no bunching or other uncomfortable nonsense in that area. These are very warm, so perfect under a shell pant or bib for alpine skiing, but I do n't think I would wear them on a tour.

Fit is great. Very warm for Chicago winter runs, but a little bit itchy. Also I would like it to be thinner like the ones in the smartwool Tercel material. Sadly could not find those in mid rise online.

[ I did not buy these pants to ski. I usually ski in very cold places so I prefer thicker and looser pants for that. I did get them for all other cold weather and snow situations. They look GREAT, and fit great( if you size up). I am 5' 7, 145 lbs. I have a long torso, slim waist and wider hips with a big butt. I am usually a size 6 in tops and 8 in pants( Size 8 fit my hips and is usually a bit to big for my waist) After reading the reviews here I ordered a size 12. They fit perfectly. Just barely loose on the waist( but that gives space for tucking in thick baselayers tops) and perfect on the hips. I could have gotten a size 10 but I suspect that would give me a flattened butt. These are perfect. So like most reviews recommend: size up 2 sizes.
