I love the tight- fitting hood, the zip pockets, and that it folds up into a travel pillow. ... It ’s everything I didn ’ t know I needed — lightweight, incredibly warm for how thin it is, and so easy to travel

I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. I love how lightweight it is, and that is compacts down if it warms up during the day and I need to pack it away for my commute home. It is also roomy enough for layering underneath, and I enjoy the big pocket for storage in the back. 10/10 would recommend.

I am obsessed with the Bessie Packable Jacket. It ’s everything I didn ’ t know I needed — lightweight, incredibly warm for how thin it is, and so easy to travel with. I love how it packs into itself and even turns into a pillow( seriously genius for flights or road trips). The fit is relaxed but still flattering, and the cinch at the waist gives it shape when I want it. I ’ ve worn it in rain, wind, and chilly mornings, and it holds up perfectly. The recycled materials are a huge plus — I feel good wearing it in more ways than one! Also, shoutout to the pockets — there are more than enough and they ’ re actually functional. This jacket goes everywhere with me now. Can ’ t recommend it enough!

This jacket definitely rivals my Patagonia nanopuffer in warmth and comfort. The color is a perfect shade of brown IMO. I 'm 5'10 '' and it hits right at my waist. I wound up going with a size small because it's rather boxy( I 'm usually a M/L). Great travel jacket that packs down into nothing. Even wore it out into the rain and I stayed remarkably dry. Granted, I was running from the car to the store, but enough that I would 've felt it had it not been water resistant. I would definitely recommend. This brand is new to me, but I 'm now excited to see what else they got cookin'.

Super cute color and a comfy fit- it is a little boxy but that works for my frame and style. Fits true to size- could probably size down for a more fitted look.

I love this jacket, it ’s literally perfect!!! It ’s lightweight enough to bring anywhere and warm enough that I feel comfortable from about 45 degrees up. Great product!!

Frequently Asked Questions For Winter Travel Outfits

When selecting winter travel outfits, it's important to consider the climate and activities you'll be engaging in. Look for layers that provide warmth without bulk, as well as materials that are both breathable and moisture-wicking. Additionally, prioritize comfort and ease of movement, especially if you'll be on the go for extended periods.

To stay warm during winter travel, opt for outfits that include insulated layers, such as thermal tops and bottoms, along with a good quality outer layer that protects against wind and moisture. Accessories like hats, gloves, and scarves can also help retain body heat. It's beneficial to choose clothing that allows for easy layering, so you can adjust based on changing temperatures.

The best materials for winter travel outfits include synthetic fabrics like polyester and nylon, which provide insulation and moisture-wicking properties. Wool is another excellent choice for its natural warmth and breathability. Look for items that combine these materials to ensure comfort and functionality during your travels.

Yes, practical styles for winter travel outfits often include versatile pieces that can be layered, such as long-sleeve tops, fleece jackets, and packable outerwear. Additionally, consider items with pockets for convenience and those that can transition from day to night. Functional footwear is also key, so look for insulated and waterproof options.

To pack efficiently for winter travel, focus on versatile pieces that can be mixed and matched. Choose lightweight, packable items that offer warmth without taking up too much space. Rolling your clothes instead of folding them can save space in your luggage, and using packing cubes can help keep everything organized.
