I was fortunate enough to be able to grab this when it was half price and I 'm so glad I did! The color is exactly as shown. The inside has a beautifully soft fleece layer. I also like that it has a loop near the tag inside for easier hanging. I often wear a size large in most women's clothing, but this was described as being a little bit of a loser fit and I would definitely agree with that. And I feel like it fits well while even having a little roof to spare, which is great for when I want to wear layers. I also like that it's a little bit longer in the back, so if you 're wearing leggings and would like to cover up a little bit more, this offers a little more coverage. Coverage. There are two good size pockets in the direct front on either side of the jacket and it has a zipper closure. I would definitely recommend this to others and would recommend going a size down from your normal size.

I 've also had it out in light rain for half an hour or so, and nothing soaked in. So it really is at least a little water repellent. I bought is jacket to replace my old Gore- Tex Foray that started to delaminate after 7 years of use. Lets see how well this AscentShell Dry hold up over the years. So far this is a great 3- in- 1 jacket but I 'm really disappointed that it lacks the TorsoFlo Venting all the other Foray versions have. TorsoFlo Venting, or at least some basic armpit vents, really makes a difference when you need to vent some heat build up or want to use the shell as a rain jacket year round. I like that it comes as a 3- in- 1. This is easier to put on and take off than the Foray and Shadow combo this jacket is replacing. Being able to combine the shell and insulation layer when it gets cold is much more convenient than dealing with 2 separate jackets. I like that it is longer than the other Foray versions The longer Parka style provides better rain and snow protection than the shorter Jacket style. The over all look and color make this great to wear in any setting like work, camping, shopping, or anywhere else. I really like the Ranger Green color over the Hops Green of my Foray that this is replacing. I hope they make a version 2 with TorsoFlo Venting and a stuff sack for the insulation layer.

I love the design, warmth, and functionality( large front pockets, card holder pocket, and removable hood). It ’s my daily winter coat on the east coast and keeps me warm and dry no matter the day. The hood is great and doesn ’ t touch my face/disturb my makeup. I ’ m 5 ’ 9 175lb and the large fits perfectly- I can still wear layers if needed. I get lots of compliments on it too, a barista just asked where it was from!

This parka is IT!!! There are so many great things about this parka. My favorite features are that it zips and buttons, the fact that you can cinch the bottom of it, the dual pockets on the outside so one can be for your hands and one can hold your phone or other items, and the hidden chest pocket! Love this jacket. I was worried about the reports that it's `` short '' I 'm 5' 9 '' with a longer torso and short legs( 30- 32 inseam) and the jacket came to just below my belt line. It's definitely a jacket for car camping, walks around town, etc. This IS N'T a summit series jacket and is defiantly not built as a belay jacket which I think some get confused. For me, after hitting the slopes and a bit sweaty, I pull this out of my pack, fluff it up( it folds into its own pocket and packs very small) and put it on going in and out of the lodge before the sweat get cold and drops my body temp.

[ Excellent quality coat. The out layer is not stiff, is flexible and smooth. The lining is a soft flannel. The Parker length gives great coverage. My grandson loves this coat. He says it ’s warm and comfortable. Doesn ’ t feel bulky. Excellent coat!!!
