Ive bought a lot of jackets from the top brands over the years, but nothing matches Fjallraven for build quality and timelessness. After buying this I sold all my Rab, Montane, North Face etc jackets- this is better all round, warmer in the cold( totally wind resistant), more resistant to water, more breathable, tougher, it looks fantastic( always getting asked about it) and will probably last 20 years. It fits perfectly- though go a size down. Pockets are excellent esp the inside pocket, insulated hood works beautifully and still has room for a beanie if its really cold- only thing to note is there is no drawstring waist- presumably because of the down- but it doesnt impact anything. After buying this i bought the insulated Kiruna... hardest decision of the day is which one to put on...

I ordered both this jacket and the re- wool jacket. Both seem like nice, warm options for Wisconsin winters. I 'm 5'11 '' tall, 185 pounds. I 'm torso- tall, a bit of a rounded belly, with average shoulder width. This down jacket was ordered in size large, which is a bit too snug on me. The re- wool was purchased in size XL, which is perfect. Planning to return this down jacket and wait to see if the re- wool gets me through the winter. If I feel like I need a better water- resistant jacket, then I 'll consider buying this down coat in size XL. Again, seems like a great coat, solid quality, a nice hood, good sleeve length.

This was my first down jacket from Fjällräven and it was fantastic with a sweater underneath it and kept you warm in 20°F weather's to 10°F weather's in New York City. Got to try this jacket out in an early season ride in Colorado. For was perfect, a little baggy but not to much. I used it without the puffy. The puffy will be super warm when the temps drop and I like that I can take the outer layer off and keep in the puffy if I go to dinner afterwards. The jacket kept me warm and dry all day. [ I bought this in Nov 2020 because I was looking for a lightweight winter jacket that I can wear as my primary jacket. I was worried it would n't be warm enough because it's not down but I can say that for non- active use, you could probably be comfortable in it down to 32 F or so. If you 're outdoors for extended periods of time( e. g. Standing outside for the bus/train, long walks), you might want something a little warmer. But for typical Philly/NYC winters, I think this is great. I also have a Fjallraven parka for when it's colder. If you 're being somewhat active, you could wear this comfortably in even colder temps. It does a good job of insulating the heat you generate from biking, jogging, brisk walking, etc. The fit is perfect for me! I have a long torso for someone my height( 5' 8 '') but it's nice and long, so I 'd guess that if you 're tall and skinny, this jacket would be great. For short torso people, it might feel long. The jacket looks great and feels like a great quality product. I hope to wear it for many years!

[ I was heading to Alaska to visit my brother and I needed a better suited jacket for the elements. I ’ d tried this in at a local store but they did not offer and prints. The fit was perfect too. So I did a bit of research and found it with you! Perfect all the way around. I do ski a bit so this was perfect for that. I was t sure I would need this for Alaska but as luck would have it the temperature really dropped and it even snowed. I was quite cozy and looked great too. Two of my favorite things is the soft inner cuffs and the fleece inner collar. When you get it all zipped up it ’s cost on your face! The jacket is warm by itself but the added heat makes it my daily jacket now as I go skiing on subzero temperatures. It's warm enough on# 2 setting and so far the batteries have lasted for the 4 hours I was outside with still some life in them. On# 3 you will get heat for just over 2 hours. I wish there was a bit of heat in the arms but the back and front are the most important parts of your body you want to keep warm. Overall I am very satisfied.

I bought the Lawernce Jacket and matching pants in Alpine Green and when I wear them together I get asked if I work for the forestry service so maybe I should have gone for another color. It's a great jacket with lots of pockets in the right spot. I appreciate the cell phone leash and the goggle whips built in. It would be nice if the front zipper pull was a bit bigger or had a cord on it to make zipping up with gloves on easier like the pocket zippers have. And the collar could be a bit roomier to Zip up when wearing a neck gator.
