I ask for duofold wool and cotton combos, but they are impossible top find anymore. Ny wife gave me two pairs of the Platinum II Pants from ColdPruf for Christmas. They have the same insulation value as the duofold but are less bulky, and much more comfortable due to the merino wool. I like these better than my underarmor, too, easier on and off. I got this for an upcoming trip to Ireland. I am 5' 1 '' and a size 25 waist but I got a size S so I can still wear sweaters underneath. It's so cute and exactly what I was looking for! So far I 've worn it during heavy rain while walking my dog and I stayed completely dry. I like the little flap on the hood so rain does n't get in your face as easily. I like the adjustable waist and hood. I would 've preferred buttons or some other way to secure the front flap as opposed to the velcro but it is n't that big of a deal to me. It feels well made and is warm without making me hot. It does look like a heavier coat because of the insolation but it's pretty light.

It is quite warm does a great job; I generally wear a L but went for the Medium here based on the recommendation that this would be slightly bigger than a regular sized one and I did n't plan on having multiple layers under it. [ This jacket is a great all around windbreaker. The fit is oversized and can fit over a lot of layers+ allows a full range of motion. The snaps and zipper are solid. Arms are about average length/what you ’ d expect. The color is a great vibrant green. As to this jacket ’s waterproof- ness I would probably suggest something billed as an actual rain jacket. I think this one could stand up to a drizzle to light rain for a set amount of time, but wouldn ’ t be what I grabbed in anything more. I gave the jacket five stars because I was looking for a windbreaker and this fits the bill.

[ Purchased this jacket for my son for a trip to Zion this January. I was looking for a down jacket that could pack down without a hood( hoods just create more bulk to try and pack down). He has n't used the jacket yet but it fits him pretty well( Large) with room to add a sweater underneath.

This coat has become my favorite. It is so comfortable! I bought a man's and like the fit better. The level of warmth is perfect for our dramatically changing PNW temps. The texture is soft and it does n't retain BO which is a problem for me with the Patagonia puffers
