I have 2- I black that I 've put through the dryer, the other I 've hung dry. The one going through the dryer has got the pills( like others have mentioned). For me, they 've been indestructible. Expensive but the cost/benefit has been worth it. I 'm surprised that others have worn theirs thin- I use mine in the bush constantly and have been anything but gentle on them.

Brought one for my husband too, as mine has lasted 4 years and still going strong. He's impressed with how windproof it is and with a bergtagen woolterry base hoodie underneath that's all you need in a cold Welsh windy day. I note some previous comments about the polyester content, but buying the same shirt( albeit indifferent colours) 4 years ago- the material compostion is the same as per the labels? Anyway- we 're both happy with our Canada shirts
