This shirt is fantastic. It ’s basically just a much needed upgrade version of the 1/2 zip elements. What I mean by that is the material is soft and comfortable and stretchy. The shirt also has a mesh ’s area running on the bottom of the arm that goes along the whole sleeve which is nice to help with cooling off. Also it seems to be lighter than the elements which helps it be a better choice to wear on warmer days. Hope these stick around and get more colors. I live in wool tank tops year- round. It is extremely rare that I am not wearing one, even if it is as a first layer during colder months. In this style( no matter what brand), you almost always need to SIZE DOWN one size; and some people may even go down two sizes. Ordinarily, I do not even like the `` muscle '' tee/tank style, but this one has a perfect feminine cut, while still embodying the strong, confident vibe many of us appreciate. For reference, I wear a medium in the Siren tank, and a small in the 125 Cool- Lite Sphere III tank. In most Icebreaker pieces, whether top or bottom, I generally prefer size medium, but every now and then I like a large( for instance, in some full- length leggings). I already have stacks of the Siren tanks, and now I have a growing stack of these as well; both are year- round daily staples I will not live without. While it is true that not every one of these tanks is consistently assembled and/or symmetrically proportioned, for most brands, I am long accustomed to ordering multiple units and returning those that do not fit perfectly. Yes, it is a hassle, but I am used to it, and this tank is SO worth it. Icebreaker, if you are reading this, please do NOT change a thing about the size small in this style( except for general quality control and manufacturing consistency). I have a long torso, long arms, and the dimensions are absolutely perfect for me. This tank is SO soft, tremendously comfortable, and incomparably feather- light. It feels like wearing nothing. As with many Icebreaker pieces, this garment dramatically decreases stress on a daily basis, and instantly became an indispensable element of my minimalist wardrobe. Thank you!

I purchased one of these and liked it so much I went back and got another one. The fit is perfect. But I did have to size up to an extra large which I have to do with all Carhartt space layers for their shirts. But I like the fit and I like the materials. I wear them at work and it's a lot better to sweat in these than it is a cotton shirt. I believe these are the newer models also as they do n't have the sewn on Carhartt tag. Nonetheless they are still quality shirts but are a little on the pricey side at$ 50 each. But still worth it in my opinion.

I had previously purchased a pair of these a few years back. The older version had material that did not stretch as well or a waistband that would stay up. I really like the tight- almost compression like- fit of this new version. The waistband is much better, and the pants actually stay put. So far, I have been wearing these under a pair of shell pants while I ski in temperatures ranging from 10 to 32 degrees. Certainly happy with my purchase.

[ I love this shirt. Not only is it attractive and the colors are amazing, I bought all three colors, but it keeps me cool running in hot temperatures. I run in the desert up to 96 degrees in these shirts. I wear a medium in other brands but a large in icebreaker tops. The slit in the back makes a nice vent for heat to escape and the shirt flows AWAY from the body which allows for airflow over the skin. The air also flows through this fabric cooling me down and when it is saturated in sweat it still feels cool to the skin. Awesome! Functional and attractive. What more could you want?

[ I bought a size L and my bust measurement is 39. 5 inches( 34H in US bra sizing). I am 5'10 '' and this shirt is perfect in every way except that it's a little too short in front. The hemline is intentionally scooped so that it's longer in back and shorter in front. When I raise my arms over my head, the front hem is at my ribcage... so it's not very gym friendly, better for an activity like running or maybe hiking, although the back vent means I 'd need to apply sunscreen to a rather unreachable part of my back. So this top is probably not going to get as much wear as my other icebreaker t- shirts. It's a cute design and I like the fabric, but the functionality is a little bit compromised for me.

[ I could go on and on about this whole line from Smartwool. It's their best thing in a very long time and I 've been a fan for years. The material is very soft, has a great but comfortable fit. These bottoms also have a nice wide and sturdy waste band so there is no bunching or other uncomfortable nonsense in that area. These are very warm, so perfect under a shell pant or bib for alpine skiing, but I do n't think I would wear them on a tour.

Love Smartwool for days in the snow. It ’s a great base layer that I can depend on. It is super soft when you first buy it but does get scratchier with wash and wear, even with gentle cycles, mild detergent, and hang drying. I tend to wear a thin, cotton free layer underneath for better comfort and more layers. While it does offer some stretch, it is very true to size, so if you are teetering between sizes, size up. You ’ ll be more comfortable and won ’ t risk circulation compression, which will ultimately make you more cold.
