[ Been looking for mittens to ski in as I 've never found a glove/liner combination that works. My wife and kids have mittens, so why does n't anyone make them for men? Bought these because they were half the price of others and I saw a ski instructor wearing a pair. Soft and supple leather. 4- 5 trips out, and totally waterproof in the slushy winter we 've had in my area. Warm? Sort of. If I was using these as work gloves, maybe. With a smartwool liner, though, kept me toasty down into the lower 20s. Quality wise looks great. The leather looks like it will hold up much better than any fabric. Overall very happy with the purchase. Wish they had some more insulation, but well- worth it for the price and hopefully durability.

The Patrol gloves feel like a toned down version of the Guide gloves that I 've used extensively. The biggest difference is the shorter gauntlet and the insulation only covering the palm, where the insulated inner runs down over the wrist into the gauntlet on the Guides. Because of those differences the mobility is a bit better with the Patrol, they 're a less bulky/more packable and are n't quite as warm as the Guides.

These are hands down( Pun intended) the warmest ski gloves I 've had the pleasure of wearing. I 've been getting by with cheaper gloves and hand warmers but when- 17F hit Alta this year, these gloves were a winner. I have the black pair and have used them twice. I 'm a truck driver that pulls tankers and I have to unload the tanker myself so that means pulling hoses and standing outside with the truck trailer for 2 to 4 hours. So far the coldest it's been but I 've unloaded it's about 13 ° and they have done really well so far. The thumb and index finger probably get the warmest, but overall the whole hand is pretty warm. It's very important. I think to turn them on in the truck first and let him get warm then go outside with them and they maintain very well. So far as winter comes it will get colder especially in the northern Nevada and we will see how that goes.

Pretty sure they are appropriate for the coldest weather New England has to offer. If youre going subzero, arctic, whose to say? But you ’ ll be fine skiing the east. I ’ ve heard that black diamond quality has taken a nose dive, but these gloves seem solidly constructed with double or triple stitching along leather seams. Very warm on cold windy days. Not meant for heavy industrial work( materials/stitch will not withstand harsh wear/abrasion/cuts) but very good for outdoor shoveling and trail walking for hours during winters. Size up, more comfortable and breathable( avoid sweating) during extreme cold.

I 've always had issues with cold hands while skiing. My best pair are the 3 finger Hestra glove which until i bought these, were my go to warm gloves. Even with the Hestra gloves, my fingers would get cold below 15°. Recently we were planning a ski trip and the forcast temps were to be a high of 0° and i knew my other gloves would not be sufficient, so i decided to purchase the Action heat gloves. I was very happy, with the sub 0° temps, my hands stayed warm. With those temps, I did keep them on the high setting knowing that I had also purchased a 2nd set of batteries which I 'm glad i did. I also have a Action Heat vest that i bought a few years ago and its been great too.

They are durable, warm and comfortable. They probably run a bit on the small side- I ordered a large, which is usually a bit big for my hands, but these fit perfectly- probably due to the insulation. I was working outside with them this past weekend in single digit weather and snow, and they did the job. The cuff is good for keeping warmth in and snow/moisture out. I recommend them.

My husband bought this for me as a gift. I ’ ve only worn them once for skiing so far( weather has been too warm this winter), but am in love already! I have Raynauld ’s syndrome which makes my hands super cold all the time. I usually put Hothands packs in my gloves to stay warm but my finger tips still get chilly enough to send me into the lodge for a bit. These heated snow gloves have warning elements that run through each finger. When I started to get cold, I turned the heating element on high for about 5 mins. After a couple of runs, I was plenty warm& turned them off all together. It wasn ’ t a super cold day( mid 40 ’s). I was outside for about 6 hours or so& probably only had the battery on for 1/2 hr total( the gloves themselves are nicely insulated). There was enough battery left to charge my phone on the drive home.
