These came just in time for me to shovel my driveway. I thought the elements were on the backs of the hands so was uneasy with gripping a snow shovel, but it must have been okay. I did n't think with the elements on the palms of the hands, that my hands would stay warm. But, when I got inside and took them off, my hands were warm. They are huge( I 'm sure intended for a man's hands), but I made it work. In the long run, I 'm very happy with them. Will probably only wear them at home because of the way they look on me, but that's okay too. Like that they run off of normal batteries instead of a power pack that could eventually stop charging. My hands always go numb from the cold below 15 degrees. I ’ ve tried top tier mittens and wool liners to no avail. With these mittens I skied all day at 10 degrees and two breaks and kept my hands warm. I used medium and low settings most of the time and still had half the battery left at the end of the day. I can ’ t wait to go again this week and see how they do in near zero temperatures. Definitely worth the price.

The mittens performed well above what I had expected. they are 100% wind proof and never let any moisture in. The most extreme weather I used them in was snowshoeing in- 25- 28 °F with a good 10- 15 mph wind. The mittens were so warm that at times I had to remove them so my hands could cool off. The recommended sizing for me was a M. I went up a size and they were snug, but very comfortable. The quality of these gloves are outstanding. I 've already recommended them to a few friends and family.

I have been using the OR Mount Baker mitts for the past decade and decided to get these for the really cold days. My hands are always cold but these could be too warm for many days. [ I bought these gloves at the height of winter and I have not looked back. They are extremely warm and keep your hands dry in every condition. They especially shined when it came to winter sports because any contact with the snow would previously give me wet, cold hands. There is no such thing with these with the combination of GoreTex and with the cuffs going up so high on my arm and being adjustable, wet hands and arms are a thing of the past. There are a number of handy features as well with finger holds on the outside of ring fingers make the gloves easy to remove even while gloved. The retention cuffs do their job well. I would recommend these for someone looking for a nice pair of gloves that wants to keep their hands warm and dry. They outperform everything else at their price point.

I thought they would be good based on the specs- solid amount of synthetic insulation, durable palms. They exceeded what I hoped due to the hi pile inner lining. Had them bushwhacking/ breaking up deep snow this winter on some ADK high peaks and even when I had to squeeze out my glove liners from the snow dumping off everything and getting everywhere the pile lining does not collapse/wet out and allowed me to keep hands warm/ evaporate some of that wet. The outers were frozen due to all the water, and I was still fine. So they get major points for damp/icy/cold NE winters because they deal well with the constant moisture. Used them on several overnights as well and they were still functional handling a couple days of it. Can sleep with the removable liners on overnight to dry if needed. Palms have held up to various spruce/fir scrub swimming, some ice ax use, and clawing through deep snow. Seems pretty good.

I have the black pair and have used them twice. I 'm a truck driver that pulls tankers and I have to unload the tanker myself so that means pulling hoses and standing outside with the truck trailer for 2 to 4 hours. So far the coldest it's been but I 've unloaded it's about 13 ° and they have done really well so far. The thumb and index finger probably get the warmest, but overall the whole hand is pretty warm. It's very important. I think to turn them on in the truck first and let him get warm then go outside with them and they maintain very well. So far as winter comes it will get colder especially in the northern Nevada and we will see how that goes.

My hands always go numb from the cold below 15 degrees. I ’ ve tried top tier mittens and wool liners to no avail. With these mittens I skied all day at 10 degrees and two breaks and kept my hands warm. I used medium and low settings most of the time and still had half the battery left at the end of the day. The gloves do a great job lightly insulating, they are n't waterproof but still do a decent job keeping your hands dry. I 've hiked with them, they make good driving mitts too. They are pretty windproof too which makes them the most useful in colder windy weather. My only complaint is if you 're wearing a watch or some other form of wrist accessory, the wrist parts of the glove do n't do a great job accommodating for that. Other than that, great mitts.

I have Raynauld ’s syndrome which makes my hands super cold all the time. I usually put Hothands packs in my gloves to stay warm but my finger tips still get chilly enough to send me into the lodge for a bit. These heated snow gloves have warning elements that run through each finger. When I started to get cold, I turned the heating element on high for about 5 mins. I have owned these mittens through two seasons now. Through that time they have held up very well through trees, being dragged on the ground, and carrying around sharp edges of a snowboard. I waited on making a review to see how they held up over time after being completely soaked and dried numerous times, and evaluate the wear on the palm. Both have impressed, but not as much as their warming capability. The thing that will separate these from other mittens is their ability to warm while wet. They are not as waterproof as some other gloves as this price point, but they are the warmest mittens I have ever used and they retain that warming ability even when the inside is saturated. My suggestion would be an alternative to velcro for the wrist cuff as snow gets caught on it very easily, making it difficult to use( draw string?). These gloves have been used between temps of 15- 45 degrees F on the west and east coast in clear and stormy conditions. Picture displays palm wear after 1. 5 seasons of heavy use.
