5 Kate
[ Employee of columbia] My Toddler just wore these mittens for the first time out in the snow for a little over an hour. When he came back in his hands were warm to the touch. Very impressed. I also like that they are warm, but not supper insulated so he can actually grab things and close his hands.

5 Emily
i just love these gloves they are really cozy with all this snow!

5 Patty
I could n't decide between the snow gloves and the premium gloves and just decided to try the cheaper ones first to see if they heated up enough for a Wisconsin winter. Yuppers, they do. So with the money I saved not buying the snow gloves, I got some more 5volt batteries, so my hands do n't every get cold if I can help it. Shoveling snow or brushing off my car I wear these gloves and they have n't let me down yet.

5 Jamie
I usually buy the Grabber hand warmers during the winter in order to slip them inside my gloves to keep my hands warm. When I saw these heated gloves in the store, I thought it was such a clever idea. It saves me money and I feel better about not using so many disposable hand warmers. The battery packs are slim and not even noticeable inside the zippered pocket on the cuffs. They are convenient and easy to use and recharge.

5 Cassidy
I wanted to try a set of battery heated gloves that heat fingers, and you can definitely feel the heat in these gloves. I have poor circulation around my hands, so the heating from these gloves helped a lot.

5 Anita
I bought these gloves for a friend to wear when she is making deliveries, and now all of her colleagues ask about them!

I bought these mittens for a snowshoeing trip that ended up being very windy and very cold. Despite the less than ideal conditions, my hands stayed toasty warm the entire trip. These mittens are very lightweight, but kept the wind out very well. There were even a few times along the trail were I had to take them off for a few seconds because my hands we too hot! They also seem to be sufficiently waterproof as I had no issues with water getting in or soggy mittens. The leather palms are also decently grippy which was a pleasant surprise. My only minor complaints are less than ideal dexterity( though that is to be expected with mittens) and there is n't a clip included to keep the mittens together when not in use. Overall these are wonderfully warm mittens and well worth the price!

[ Wore the gloves for two hours while sledding with my kids in 26 degree weather. My hands stayed extremely warm the whole time. I ’ ve gone through 6 pairs of gloves the last two years and everything let my hands freezing after a short time.

[ I finally broke down to buy proper winter mittens and chose these as I love my Hestra ski gloves. They are soft and warm, keeping my fingers relatively comfortable in 5 degree Wisconsin weather. They are a bit bulky, but I can still shove them in the pockets of my heavy winter jacket. They work well for sledding, walking around, etc. I would prefer a slightly longer, larger wrist so they can go up over the jacket to keep snow from getting in. But otherwise I am very pleased. They are certainly better than anything I have owned thus far( save for my Hestra ski gloves) for serious winter outdoor time.

[ I wore the mitts to the Lincoln Park Zoo Christmas Light showing. The temp was in the teens, but my hands stayed warm. What more do you need.

[ These gloves are amazing. They keep your hands warm for the coldest of days during the Chicago winters. Highly recommend and worth the cost.

I work outside throughout the winter and the hardest thing to do is keep my fingers warm when it gets 20 degrees or less. I decided to try these mittens for the times I do n't need fingers( gloves). They are excellent. I added a Hot Hands hand warmer to each mitten and they kept my fingers toasty. I could even take the mittens off, use my fingers to put some nuts on bolts, and put the mittens back on.... No problem. No more painfully cold fingers.

Finally found a pair of mittens that have a removable liner( for washing) that stays put when you put mittens on and off. Fleece liner is comfortable, not bunchy, and so warm. Cuffs are comfortable and make these extra warm. Adjustable strap makes the fit just right. I have very cold hands and these are the best mittens I 've found. Also love the tough exterior on the palm side-- seem like they will be long lasting. Hestra is my new favorite brand-- I also bought the white leather ones for cross- country skiing.

This is just what I needed. The whole purchasing process was great. I only wish they had a bigger size than xl as I have rheumatoid arthritis and they are a little hard to get on but once on they feel great. Thank you Warming Store, you made winter a little more bearable.

I bought these for my elderly mother for Christmas and tried them on while my hands were cold. It was like heaven! She is not good with electronics and this was easy. She knows how to plug in her cell phone and that is all she has to do is plug them in to recharge. They are lightweight and have cell phone fingers. I am very happy with the gift I am giving my elderly mother.

Wore these mittens in the winter. These are nice warm mittens. Fine for skiing or other very cold weather activities. They are a little big and bulky, but that is to be expected. These are the gloves you take when it is really biting out there.

Frequently Asked Questions For Warmest Winter Mitts

When searching for the warmest winter mitts, consider features such as insulation material, which helps retain heat while providing comfort. Look for waterproof or water-resistant outer layers to keep hands dry in snowy conditions. Additionally, a snug fit at the wrist can help prevent cold air and moisture from entering. Finally, consider mitts with a soft lining for added warmth and comfort against the skin.

To determine the right size for winter mitts, start by measuring the circumference of your hand just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb. Compare this measurement to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer, as sizes can vary between brands. Additionally, consider the length of your fingers, as some mitts may have specific sizing for finger length. Trying on mitts, if possible, can also help ensure a comfortable fit that allows for movement and warmth.

The best materials for insulation in winter mitts typically include synthetic fibers, down, and fleece. Synthetic insulation is often lightweight and water-resistant, making it suitable for wet conditions. Down provides excellent warmth-to-weight ratio but may require a water-resistant outer layer to maintain its insulating properties. Fleece is commonly used for linings, offering comfort and additional warmth.

Yes, certain styles of winter mitts are designed to provide enhanced warmth. Mittens generally offer more insulation than gloves because they keep fingers together, allowing for better heat retention. Look for mitts made with insulated materials and features like fleece linings or waterproof exteriors, as these can help keep hands warm in cold conditions. Additionally, mitts with adjustable cuffs can help seal in warmth and block out cold air.

Warm winter mitts are suitable for a variety of outdoor activities in cold weather. They provide essential insulation and protection for hands during activities such as skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and winter hiking. Additionally, they are great for everyday use, like walking in the snow or playing in the winter weather. Their design often allows for flexibility and grip, making them practical for handling equipment or enjoying winter sports.

Warm winter mitts generally provide more insulation than gloves due to their design, which allows for better heat retention. The mitten style keeps fingers together, creating a shared warmth that can be more effective in cold conditions. In contrast, gloves offer individual finger compartments, which can lead to increased exposure to cold air. For those seeking maximum warmth in frigid temperatures, mitts are often the preferred choice.

Insulated mitts are designed to provide warmth and comfort during winter sports by trapping heat and preventing cold air from entering. They often feature materials that offer both insulation and moisture-wicking properties, helping to keep hands dry and warm in cold conditions. Additionally, many insulated mitts come with a snug fit and adjustable features, ensuring they stay securely in place while allowing for dexterity needed for activities like skiing or snowboarding. This combination of warmth, comfort, and functionality makes them a practical choice for winter sports enthusiasts.

To ensure the durability of your winter mitts, it's important to follow proper care and maintenance practices. Always check the care instructions provided by the manufacturer, as different materials may require specific cleaning methods. Store your mitts in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture buildup, and avoid exposing them to excessive heat, which can damage the materials. Regularly inspect your mitts for any signs of wear and tear, and address any issues promptly to extend their lifespan.

When choosing winter mitts for children, consider the insulation and material to ensure warmth and comfort in cold conditions. Look for waterproof or water-resistant options to keep hands dry during snow play. Additionally, check for features like adjustable cuffs or elastic bands to provide a secure fit and prevent snow from entering. Finally, consider the size and ease of putting them on, as children may need assistance with mitts that are too snug or complicated.
