I always wear a small size in coats but definitely need a medium to be comfortable. I love omni tech and require that from a winter coat. This jacket has been very warm so far and being waterproof in Oregon is necessary. I never thought I 'd separate the coats, but less than a week after purchasing, they became the perfect separates on a warmer vacation. The hood is not insulated but stays on through the wind. I wo n't need the ski skirt option and it's not a nuisance. I will note that it might be easier to dry the jackets separate after washing, or at least pull inner sleeves out or they will not dry timely. I 'm very pleased with this jackets, more than I ever expected.

My only critiques are: 1) the top- entry pockets are really hard to get my phone in and out of. The opening is technically big enough but it takes both hands to open the pocket wide enough to jam my large phone through. 2) the front zipper is kind of hard to operate while wearing gloves. Also there's definitely a pocket on the left forearm for a ski pass- not sure if other reviewers had a different version or what, but mine is not lacking a pass pocket.

It even has a similar fit to the Arc'teryx jackets if you cinch the waistline in and tuck it. You can get away with wearing no layers underneath this jacket in 30F weather. I 've already gotten many compliments and will be wearing this to back to back ski trips in Vermont and Colorado! I agree with other reviews that a snow helmet can not fit underneath the hood, but that is NOT a con for me as wearing a hood while skiing usually obstructs my view anyway.

I got this for an upcoming trip to Ireland. I am 5' 1 '' and a size 25 waist but I got a size S so I can still wear sweaters underneath. It's so cute and exactly what I was looking for! So far I 've worn it during heavy rain while walking my dog and I stayed completely dry. I like the little flap on the hood so rain does n't get in your face as easily. I like the adjustable waist and hood. I would 've preferred buttons or some other way to secure the front flap as opposed to the velcro but it is n't that big of a deal to me. It feels well made and is warm without making me hot. It does look like a heavier coat because of the insolation but it's pretty light.

'' If you tend to be a person who's naturally on the warmer side, know that the Omni- heat* works*!( I have my own jacket with this feature and love it.) The jacket fits well, and the hood closure, drawstring waist, and Velcro at the sleeves that allow for some customization help improve the fit even more.

I got this jacket to wear on early morning and late night walks with my dog. I got it in white so that I am visible to people driving. So far, it seems to helping. People actually stop for me at the crosswalks now. It is the perfect weight for brisk walking with temps in the 40's. I just wear a lightweight wool long sleeve shirt under it. Love the cut and the oversized fit. When it gets colder I will have room to add more layers. I might buy another one for horseback riding... in a more practical color for wearing at a barn around horses.
