I was eyeing this jacket for a couple weeks and waiting for a sale and suddenly DSG had it for like$ 180 which is way cheaper than anywhere else I saw it so I grabbed it. The price went up like$ 100 the next day so I ’ m glad I grabbed it when I did. The fit is somewhat of a slimmer fit compared to most other snowboard jackets

I love this Solomon coat! Has the right amount of warmth to it. Great color and style! It does run on the small side. I usually wear a medium, but had to order a size large in order to put layers underneath it.

I 'm 5'2 100lbs and usually wear an XS and this jacket fits me well with extra room for layering. I love the Turtle Dove color as it is a creamy/vanilla shade that pairs well with any snow pant color. Amazing features- snow skirt, thumb cut outs, water proof and wind proof, zippers up to my chin, well insulated, and, multiple pockets. This jacket is one of the best quality ski jackets on the market now. I would say it's comparable to Helly Hansen's Alphelia jacket in terms of fit and features but for a lower price point. It even has a similar fit to the Arc'teryx jackets if you cinch the waistline in and tuck it. You can get away with wearing no layers underneath this jacket in 30F weather. I 've already gotten many compliments and will be wearing this to back to back ski trips in Vermont and Colorado! I agree with other reviews that a snow helmet can not fit underneath the hood, but that is NOT a con for me as wearing a hood while skiing usually obstructs my view anyway.

It's roomy enough that I could layer up on an icy cold day in BC in December, but also fits fine over minimal layers on warmer days. ... I typically ski on the wet side of the Cascades, and I can say this set is waterproof enough to meet the challenge of a warm- ish rainy ski

[ The fabric and fit of this jacket are great. The only disappointment was that the navy of the jacket was slightly different than the navy Environ pants I already own.

[ I love the fit, style and colors of this new set. I was surprised that there is not a ski pass pocket on the arm( big oversight in my opinion). I still can ’ t wait to suit up this winter.

I 'm very happy with this jacket and the matching bibs so far. It's roomy enough that I could layer up on an icy cold day in BC in December, but also fits fine over minimal layers on warmer days. I typically ski on the wet side of the Cascades, and I can say this set is waterproof enough to meet the challenge of a warm- ish rainy ski day. My only critiques are: 1) the top- entry pockets are really hard to get my phone in and out of. The opening is technically big enough but it takes both hands to open the pocket wide enough to jam my large phone through. 2) the front zipper is kind of hard to operate while wearing gloves. Also there's definitely a pocket on the left forearm for a ski pass- not sure if other reviewers had a different version or what, but mine is not lacking a pass pocket.

I haven ’ t had a chance to wear the jacket yet but the quality seems great. Fit is very standard, you can fit a layer underneath easily and feels very warm after just trying on. The fabric elastic cuffs feel very soft and not too tight, my last ski jacket they were way too tight and got in the way of wearing my gloves.

I absolutely love my new jacket! Just to be cleared... I loved the previous Mt Hardwear jacket I had, but the zipper broke& your co. stood behind their product& gave me a very generous credit, when they could n't fix the original zipper. THIS is why I shop with Mt Hardwear!... Excellent quality& standing behind your product( when it failed after 12 years of HEAVY use).

I just got this jacket, but by first impressions of use... WOW! This thing is exactly what I wanted. I have a shell for warmer days but had to bundle too many layers to stay warm on those cold days. I run very hot while skiing, I get to the bottom and need to strip or open all my layers to not overheat. This jacket gives you breathability while carrying the insulation that keeps you warm on the chair up. Literally the only thing that could be improved is the size of the armpit ventilation. Like I mentioned above I run hot so I would have enjoyed more airflow when I open the vents. But that tiny detail is the only thing I can find at fault and it's more of a personal preference. Bravo Mountain Hardwear!

Warm, great fit and durable jacket. Love the fit and very comfortable
When selecting a blue snowboard jacket, consider features such as waterproofing and breathability to keep you dry and comfortable on the slopes. Look for insulation options that provide warmth without adding bulk, as well as adjustable hoods and cuffs for a customizable fit. Additional features like ventilation zippers can help regulate temperature during intense activity, while pockets for storage can be useful for carrying essentials. Finally, check for a snow skirt to help keep snow out during falls or deep powder days.
To choose the right size for a snowboard jacket, start by measuring your chest, waist, and hips to find your body measurements. Refer to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer, as sizes can vary between brands. Consider the fit you prefer; some riders opt for a looser fit for layering, while others prefer a more fitted style for mobility. Additionally, think about the type of insulation and features you want, as these can affect how the jacket fits and feels when worn.
Blue snowboard jackets are typically made from a combination of waterproof and breathable materials to keep you dry and comfortable on the slopes. Common fabrics include nylon and polyester, often treated with water-repellent coatings. Insulation materials, such as synthetic fills or down, are also used to provide warmth without adding bulk. Additionally, many jackets feature reinforced seams and adjustable hoods for enhanced durability and fit.
Blue snowboard jackets are designed to provide warmth and protection in various weather conditions, but their suitability can depend on specific features. Many jackets are made with waterproof and breathable materials to keep you dry during snow and rain. Insulation levels can vary, so some jackets may be better for colder temperatures while others are more versatile for milder conditions. It's important to consider the jacket's construction and features to ensure it meets your needs for different weather scenarios.
Insulated snowboard jackets are designed with added layers of material that provide warmth, making them suitable for colder conditions. These jackets often feature synthetic or down insulation to retain heat while allowing for breathability. Non-insulated snowboard jackets, on the other hand, are typically lighter and more versatile, offering protection from wind and moisture without the extra warmth, making them ideal for milder weather or for layering with other clothing. Choosing between the two depends on the climate and personal preference for warmth and mobility on the slopes.
To determine the best fit for layering under a snowboard jacket, consider the thickness and material of your base and mid-layers. Look for options that provide warmth without excessive bulk, allowing for freedom of movement. It's important to ensure that the layers fit snugly but comfortably, avoiding tightness that could restrict circulation. Additionally, check for features like moisture-wicking properties to keep you dry and comfortable while riding.
Blue snowboard jackets come in various styles to suit different types of snowboarding. You can find insulated jackets designed for cold weather, lightweight options for spring riding, and waterproof styles that offer protection against the elements. Additionally, some jackets feature technical designs with ventilation systems for backcountry riding, while others may have a more relaxed fit for park and freestyle snowboarding. These diverse styles ensure that snowboarders can find a jacket that meets their specific needs and preferences.
The color of a snowboard jacket can significantly impact visibility on the slopes, especially in varying weather conditions. Bright colors, such as blue, can help riders stand out against the white snow, making it easier for others to spot them. In contrast, darker colors may blend in with the environment, potentially reducing visibility. Choosing a jacket with a vibrant color can enhance safety and make it easier for friends or instructors to keep track of you while riding.
Wearing a waterproof snowboard jacket helps keep you dry and comfortable while enjoying winter sports. These jackets are designed to repel moisture from snow and rain, preventing you from getting cold and wet during your activities. Additionally, many waterproof jackets feature breathable materials that allow sweat to escape, helping to regulate your body temperature. This combination of waterproofing and breathability enhances your overall experience on the slopes.
Yes, a blue snowboard jacket can be versatile for various outdoor activities beyond snowboarding. Many of these jackets are designed to provide warmth, water resistance, and breathability, making them suitable for skiing, hiking, or even casual wear in cold weather. Their stylish designs and functional features can also make them a great choice for everyday use during winter months.
